Choice of Activities

Staying at Stilleben allows you to connect with nature. Switch off and do nothing or take part in a host of activities designed to immerse yourself in the Swedish countryside. Depending on the time of year you have the choice of the following optional activities to get involved in.

Dog sledding

In winter season, 5-6 dogs will pull you on a sled during this incredible experience. One is the musher and the other one sits in the sled. Halfway we will stop for some hot drinks, and you can change places before setting off again.

Scooter Safari

Do you like to experience the thrill of driving a snowmobile through snowy forests, over frozen lakes and rivers, and venturing far from civilisation?

Join the snowscooter safari, where the emphasis is on driving and admiring the nature and breathtaking scenery, while keeping an eye out for wildlife! Halfway through the trip, your guide will take care of the fire and prepare some warm treats.

Bear safari

Get up close to the European Brown Bear in its natural habitat. Explore the mountains and absorb the special ambience of the wilderness.

Join our guide on animal trails, past feeding marks, footprints and resting places to capture the perfect picture. Just remember, silence is golden!

Off the beaten track

Explore marshes and lakes in the surrounding forests of Åmot. Trails, frequented by deer and bear, lead invitingly deeper into the forest. Join your guide where only local hunters are allowed, for a walk into the wilderness, providing varied terrain and scenery.

Boat trip on the lake

With 100,000 lakes in Sweden, you're never far from the water. At Stilleben you'll find the perfect spot where you can not only swim, but also feel as if you're totally isolated from the world.

Fishing tour

Central Sweden holds no end of varied fishing settings, whether you want pike, perch or some other salmon-like fish. Using different types of fishing tackle set off in search of the perfect catch. You might want to keep an eye on the shoreline to spot a glimpse of wildlife around the lake!

Wildlife safari

As well as moose, reindeer, deer and a variety of birds, which you can spot without too much effort, Sweden is also home to predators such as the bear, wolf, lynx and wolverine. Join a guide to walk through animal trails, past feeding marks, see footprints and resting places to capture the perfect picture.

Night safari

The night safari takes you on a walking journey into the forests by night, discovering the native flora and fauna of Sweden. As dusk falls, you'll embark on this fascinating trip with a guide deep into the forests on animal trails, past feeding marks, footprints and resting places where we will set up camp in our hunting lodge. Together you'll prepare dinner and put on our camouflage gear.

Then it's time to listen to the sounds of the forest, frequented by moose, bear and wolves and keep hold of your camera to capture the perfect night time photo.

Downhill Cycling

What goes up must come down. From the simplest green to the really difficult trails for the experts, this mountainbike cycling park has 11 tracks that will make your adrenal glands stand up. Did someone mention steep? Equipment and cycling coaches can be rented on site, adjusted to the level of all participants. Enjoy the ride!
