Enjoy miles of beautiful bike trails, and stunning scenery. Start in Tucson and then journey south to see historic landmarks, incredible landscape and unbeatable sunsets. You will cross the border into Mexico and get a taste of the vibrant atmosphere in Nogales. There are plenty of interesting places you will stop at on route, including the San Xavier Indian Reservation,  Pena Blanca Lake and the Saguaro National Park.

Day 1

Arrive in Tucson

Start your adventure with a bike tour of the town. A good way to get used to your bike and the heat! There are lots of great restaurants and bars in Tucson waiting to be explored.

Days 2 - 3

San Xavier Indian Reservation and Amado

After breakfast, you will make for your first destination which is the San Xavier Indian Reservation where you will spend most of the day riding. You will head to Mission San Xavier del Bac which is an iconic mission church featuring beautiful baroque architecture & painted artwork.

From here you will pedal through the Indian village of Bac and then begin your climb to the Sonoran desert. You will pass many interesting sites including enormous copper mines. You will be spending two nights in the cowboy village of Amado.

The next day depends on what you and the rest of the group would like to do. You can either head out on a hiking adventure in the Santa Rita Mountains, mountain bike along the Elephant Head trail, head to the top of Mt. Hopkins, go horse riding in Rio Rico, or just doing some bird-watching from your lodge if you fancy something more chilled.

Day 4


Today you will start the journey to Nogales. There are lots of places to stop at along the way including the Tumacacori National Historic Park where you will learn about the culture clash between the Spanish settlers and local Apaches.

You can also make a stop at the beautiful Pena Blanca Lake. Nogales is one of the most laid back Mexican towns on the US border. There are plenty of sites to see shops to visit. You will be staying on the US side of the border but will have plenty of time to explore the Mexican side.

Day 5

Patagonia Lake State Park

Today is a shorter day of riding (only 33 miles). Take a detour to the Patagonia Lake State Park where you can hire a boat and venture onto the lake.

You will stop for lunch in Patagonia before heading to tonight's destination, Sonoita which is Arizona’s main wine destination. You will be staying here for two nights.

Day 6

Wine region

Today you can either venture on the 20-mile hilly route through the wine region or the 60-mile round trip to Parker Canyon Lake where you will pass through pine deserts.

Day 7

Saguaro National Park

After breakfast, you will make your way back to Tucson from Sonita. It is mostly downhill and around 65 miles.

On route, you will also complete the 8-mile loop of the Cactus Forest Drive in the Saguaro National Park where you will also stop for a spot of lunch.

It's a nice easy route back to the town. Once back, you will enjoy a tasty farewell feast now you have seen what Arizona has to offer!

Day 8


After your final goodbyes, you will be transferred to the airport where you will catch a flight back home or to your next destination.
