Day 2

After a drive through Santa Monica, make a start on your base-tan at the famous beaches of Malibu. The Santa Ynez Mountains are a dramatic backdrop on the drive to the seaside community of Santa Barbara. Stroll along the famous palm-lined walkways into the wharf and harbour districts. Stay overnight in the heart of California’s Central Coast, where there’s even more classic beach towns to explore.

Day 3

Central Coast - Highway 1 - Monterey/Carmel

The delightful drive along Highway 1, near San Luis Obispo, encompasses a 17-mile scenic drive and has some of the most stunning coastline and Pacific views. You can pass through the well-known Pebble Beach Golf Course en route, before exploring the seaside town of Monterey and see the fairy-tale like cottages in the village of Carmel.
Day 4

Monterey/Carmel - Yosemite

Have an early start and make your way across the agricultural Central Valley before the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. Follow in the footsteps of gold seekers of the gold rush of 1949 as you travel south along highway 49 through California Gold country. The creeks and streams are still considered some of the best for gold panning enthusiasts. Continue your drive into the stunning Yosemite National Park.
