February 2018 Mardi Gras has been celebrated in New Orleans (Mississippi River Basin) even before the formal founding of the city. The early French explorers landed at a site near the present city on Mardi Gras Day, 1699 and called the site Point du Mardi Gras. Join this magical tour and join in with the Mardi Gras celebrations whilst experiencing this amazing city!

Day 1

Champagne Toast and Introduction: You will be welcomed to New Orleans by your guide. Once everyone is together, you will be guided by your representatives to the cocktail party venue. Here you will get a chance to mingle and mix with the rest of the group and get to know each other a bit better whilst enjoying some free cocktails and delicious appetizers. Why not enter one of the many raffle prizes – you never know, you may be a lucky winner!

Day 2

Today you will spend the afternoon at the Bourbon Street Balcony Part. Watch the sea of colour float past in the streets below as you enjoy the best view on the balcony on Bourbon Street. Here you can enjoy the Open Premium Bar and Cajun Buffet for 6 hours.


In the evening you will attend the Annual Armeinius Mardi Gras Ball.
This is guaranteed to be a fabulous evening. The Krewe of Armeinius hosts the most glamorous ball, and has been for the past 45 years. This gay carnival ball is held on the Saturday before Mardi Gras. Dress in your smartest most lavish attire. Here you will enjoy a premium balcony front and central Section ticket which provides the best view of the ball. You will receive an autographed ball magazine by none other than Varla Jean Merman and you also will have access to the President's Pre-party before the ball starting at 6:15pm.

Day 3

Experience New Orleans in a different light – heads out on the Gator Swamp Boat Tour through the Bayous of Louisiana. The tour includes a 2 hour guided tour with a Canjun swampland expert. Experience this exciting tour and see the gators and other wildlife in their natural habitat up close!

You will then head off the Oak Alley Plantation Tour. This is a beautifully preserved plantation house. The guided tour will take you through the house where you will find out about the life on the plantation and the previous inhabitants. This house is steeped in history, as many movies have been filmed on the site including Interview with a Vampire.

Day 4

Feel the full party vibes and watch the parade from the superior VIP Parade Grandstand seating. Watch a Full Evening of Mardi Gras unfold in front of you, with colourful floats, Krewes and countless beads and dazzling outfits.

Day 5

Fat Tuesday - free day to enjoy the final day of Mardi Gras. This day is at your leisure – enjoy Mardi Gras to the full and embrace the festivities and fun all over New Orleans.

Get ready for a night of fright on the French Quarter Ghost Walking Tour. New Orleans is one of America's most haunted cities, rich in superstition, ghost sightings and voo doo culture.
