TEL AVIV

Why not spend a say exploring Tel Aviv. This wonderful city has so much to do and see including a trip to the Diaspora museum, a visit to Rabin’s square which was the site prime minister Itzhak Rabin was assassinated. Head to Old Jaffa, which is an 8000-year-old port city where you can see the old city ruins. Why not visit Neve Tzedek which is the first neighbourhood of Tel Aviv, build in 1887. Take a stroll along Nahalat Benyamin where you will find musicians, handmade jewellery stands and other local gift vendors. After this, head to Sheinkin which is known for its shops, café life and vibrant colourful atmosphere. If you would like to add on a city tour of Tel Aviv, we can add this to your itinerary.

Alternatively, if you are looking to explore further afield, then you could always venture on a city tour of Jerusalem or a day trip to Masada and the Dead Sea.

JERUSALEM

Jerusalem’s rich culture and numerous heritage sites make it a wonderful city to explore. You will be driven to Mount of Olives for the best views of Jerusalem’s skyline. After this, you will visit Mount Zion where you will find King David’s tomb. Head through the old city and pass the Armenian and Jewish quarters where you will reach the recently uncovered Cardo, which is a Roman road. You will see the Jewish wailing wall and then onto the Christian quarter. Take a walk along the Via Dolorosa where you can visit the church of holy Sepulchre. Once you have finished exploring the Old city, it’s time to head to the New city, where you will first visit the Yad Vashem which is Jerusalem’s holocaust memorial. You could also head to Ein Kerem which is located south-west of Jerusalem and is traditionally known as the birthplace of John the Baptist. The beautiful picturesque village is lovely to walk around, navigating the narrow streets and visiting the stunning church of Saint John the Baptist.

THE DEAD SEA

Head to the Dead Sea which is the lowest point on the earth and take a swim in the water and experience the natural feeling of floating. The high salt concentration in the water means that humans can float on the surface of the water, just be careful you don’t swallow any sea water! After your swim, you will be driven along the shores of the Dead Sea until you reach Masada which is filled with many fascinating historical sites. Take a cable car up to the mountain fortress built by King Herod. Visit the remains of the walls palace, synagogue, water cisterns, mosaic floors, roman baths and other findings. You will then head back down by cable car.
