Day 1-2: Athens
Upon landing at Athens Airport, you will be greeted by your dedicated OutOfOffice.com representative who will ensure a smooth private transfer to your hotel. Once you’re comfortably settled in, the rest of the day is yours to gently immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Athens at your own pace.
Your exploration of Athens begins the following day with a guided tour of the city’s most iconic landmarks. The tour kicks off at the historic Panathinaikos Stadium, continues through the lush expanse of the National Garden, and passes by architectural marvels like Hadrian’s Arch and the Greek Parliament, including the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The highlight of the day is a visit to the magnificent Acropolis, a symbol of classical spirit and civilisation. Here, you’ll discover ancient treasures such as The Propylea, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the Erechtheion, noted for its famous Porch of Maidens.
Your cultural journey extends to the Acropolis Museum, a renowned institution that ranks among the top archaeological museums globally. This museum houses an extensive collection of artifacts from Ancient Greece.
As the tour concludes, you will marvel at the Parthenon’s grandeur and the fascinating ruins of Ancient Athens, all meticulously uncovered through archaeological excavations on the museum’s grounds.
Day 3: Island Hopping
In the morning, we’ll escort you to the port for an enchanting full-day island-hopping cruise. Our first destination is the picturesque island of Hydra, where time seems to stand still. Upon arrival, you’ll have the freedom to wander its charming streets or dive into the crystal-clear waters for a refreshing swim.
Next, we set sail for Poros, the smallest of the three islands. This charming island, nestled just a narrow strait away from the Peloponnese, offers captivating views of Poros Town. You’ll have an hour to meander through its quaint streets, soaking in the island’s serene beauty.
As we journey towards our final island stop, a delicious lunch will be served aboard. Savour the flavours of Greece as we navigate towards Aegina, an island known for its rich history and beautiful landscapes. Here, you’ll have ample time to enjoy another swim in the inviting Aegean Sea. For those interested in exploring further, we offer an optional excursion by bus to the well-preserved Temple of Afea Athena, a testament to ancient architectural brilliance.
As the day winds down, you’ll reboard the boat for a leisurely return to Athens, arriving back in the late afternoon. This day-long adventure offers a perfect blend of relaxation, exploration, and a taste of the Greek island lifestyle, all while basking in the Mediterranean sun.
Day 4-7: Mykonos
After breakfast, you’ll check out from your Athens hotel and head to the port to take the ferry to Mykonos. Once you reach Mykonos, a driver will meet you to take you to your hotel, where you’ll enjoy a day at leisure.
The next day, you’ll take a half-day trip to famous Delos. You’ll have a professional guide, ferry and entrance fees to the sacred island of Apollo and Artemis, a famous political and religious centre of old.
The whole territory of the deserted Delos is one of the most important archaeological sites of the eastern Mediterranean and is a protected UNESCO world heritage site. You may visit, amongst others, the remains of the Temples of Apollo, the sanctuary of Artemis, the old city and the theatre and then walk down the celebrated Lion Street.
Also, in the museum of Delos, you can admire Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman Sculptures and a collection of vessels from all periods.
