You’ll visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, the bustling streets of Cairo, the Sphinx, Luxor, the Grand Egyptian Museum and see artefacts from Tutankhamen’s tomb.
You’ll sail down the mighty Nile and take a trip back through the centuries, following in the footsteps of Cleopatra and Ramses II. Egypt is a country you should see at least once in a lifetime. It contains arguably the greatest surviving relics of the ancient world.

In detail
Day 1: Cairo
Arrive at Cairo International Airport. You’ll be transferred directly to your hotel.
Day 2-3: Cairo
We’ll have two full days to explore Egypt’s capital. There are some great museums to explore where you learn about the wonders of ancient Egypt. The Grand Egyptian Museum has artefacts dating back to 4000 BC, including treasures from Tutankhamun’s tomb. The museum overlooks the Pyramids of Giza and it covers Egyptian history up to the Greek and Roman periods.
The Pyramids of Giza are the only surviving Seven Ancient Wonders of the World. Khufu’s pyramid is built from over 2 million blocks. We’ll ride on camels to visit the Sphinx.
On the second day we’ll visit the Coptic Museum, the Synagogue of Ben Ezra and the Mosque Sultan Hassan.
Day 4: Luxor
Flight to Luxor and check into our luxury hotel. We’ll visit the Tomb of the Nobles – here you’ll find the tombs of 400 Theban aristocrats. We’ll also visit the Workers’ Village and catch a glimpse of the daily lives of more humble ancient Egyptians. These are the people who served the kings and queens buried in the great pyramids.
Day 5: Hop on board
Today we’ll board the five-star Nile Adventurer. You can visit the Temple of Luxor. We’ll then have lunch and visit the Valley of the Kings. We’ll also visit the Valley of the Queens and see the Temple of Queen Hatsheput. As we head back to the boat you’ll see the Colossi of Memnon.
Day 6: Karnak to Esna
Breakfast on board the ship. We’ll then visit the Temple of Karnak. It’ll then be time for lunch followed by a tour around the temple of Khnum with an Egyptologist. The Great Hypostle Hall was built during the reign of Emperor Claudius and it’s very well-preserved.
Day 7: Edfu to Kom Ombo
Today we’ll visit the Temple of Horus. Lunch on board the ship as we sail to Kom Ombo. Here we’ll find the Temple of Kom Ombo, devoted to the crocodile god Sobek. We’ll then have some time to relax on board, You can join an optional cooking class. In the evening we’ll have an Egyptian costume party.
Day 8: Aswan
Morning at leisure. After lunch we’ll take a short motorboat ride to the Philae Temple. We’ll then visit the Granite Quarries which supplied the Egyptians with the stones they used to make the pyramids. We’ll also go for a boat ride to Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Gardens.
Day 9: Abu Simbel to Cairo
It’ll be time to say goodbye to the Nile Adventurer. We’ll fly to Abu Simbel and visit the temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. This will be the last excursion of our action-packed trip.
Day 10: Departure
Having discovered the wonders of ancient Egypt, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
