Day 1: Belize City
Your Belize adventure begins in the country’s capital – Belize City! Despite being Belize’s largest city, the vibe is much more that of a small port town on the Caribbean coast. You will be staying in the Radisson Fort George; set right on the shore, with beautiful views of the sea and the promenade.
On your first evening, you will have a group dinner with the other explorers on your trip. The perfect way to kick off your adventure into the jungle, the ruins, and the private island!
Days 2 and 3: San Ignacio
The small town of San Ignacio is less than a 2h drive from Belize City, and is the base for the exploration part of your trip. For the next two days, you will be finding Mayan ruins hidden in the lush South American jungle. The best thing? They are just as impressive as their crowded counterparts in Mexico.
The adventure doesn’t stop here – you will be exploring the unique cave systems with underwater rivers, stunning rock formations, and even an underground Maya ceremonial site with virtually untouched artifacts!
You will be staying the San Ignacio Resort, set next to the Macal River. Featuring private balconies/ terraces with hammocks and local art and jungle views.
Days 4, 5, 6, and 7: Private Island
Now this is the very luxurious and once-in-a-lifetime part of your trip. Located 17 miles off the mainland, surrounded by the Silk Cayes Marine Reserve, lies this unspoiled paradise that is yours for 4 days and nights. S
oak in the natural beauty, pamper yourself with spa treatments, and go snorkeling with manta rays and turtles – do whatever you want to do on your private tropical island! You will have plenty of time to go island hopping, relax in a hammock, sunbathe, and enjoy delicious meals with your group.
Also featured on your island: an open-air grill restaurant/bar, an outdoor pool, a sports field, and a dive center. Massages and non-motorized water sports equipment are available too!
Day 8: Belize City
Time to say goodbye. Your trip will end back in Belize City, where you can choose to either depart from BZE airport any time after 1:00pm, or extend your trip and go off exploring by yourself! There is so much more to see in this beautiful country.
