Set out on a husky safari, meet the local shaman and have a Viking feast. This gay group trip is a great way to discover Finland in the winter. You’ll eat Finish delicacies like elk and bear meat. You’ll also experience a classic smoke sauna, ski and eat reindeer in a teepee.

Group Trip Breakdown
Day 1: Arrival
When you arrive at Kajaani airport you’ll be transferred to the hotel. We’ll have welcome drinks by the fireplace. In the evening we’ll have a classic Finish meal which will include elk meat, a local delicacy.
Day 2: Snowmobile Safari
Today we’ll set out on a 2-hour snowmobile safari in Taiga forest. This will be followed by winter survival games. After all the action we can unwind in the outdoor and indoor jacuzzis. There’s even a peat sauna to try out.
In the evening we’ll dine on some locally caught salmon. Then, DJ Tero will spin some tracks.
Day 3: Cross Country Ski
After breakfast we’ll try out Finland’s national sport, skiing. The easy tracks at the Kalevala Si-centre are doable if you don’t have much experience. There are alternative tracks if you’re a seasoned skier.
We’ll dine on reindeer in the evening in a Kota teepee around an open fire. Later in the evening you can unwind in the sauna, and potentially try some birch branch treatment.
Day 4: Husky Driven Sleigh
In the morning we’ll transfer to a husky farm and go for a ride on a husky-driven sleigh. After a picnic lunch on the farm, you can try a classic Finish smoke sauna.
In the evening out meal will include bear meat! After dinner, our DJ will be playing music until the early hours.
Day 5: Snowshoeing And Winter Fishing
After breakfast we’ll head out for a guided snowshoe and winter fishing tour. This will be followed by some relaxation time in the sauna.
In the evening we’ll be greeted by a Finish shaman in the forest. As well as predicting your future, she will offer you love potions.
In the House of North you’ll get a taste of Viking culture, eating a feast with your hands as they did in the olden days.
