Group Trip Breakdown
Day 1 - Athens
After your flight, you’ll be transferred to Athens marina where you’ll begin your sailing adventure along the Peloponnese coast where you’ll get to visit some of the lovely islands and their small fishing villages in the Argolic and Saronic Gulfs. Following from this you’ll have dinner near the Acropolis, in the Plaka area; here you can explore the local gay clubs.
Day 2 - Poros
Today you’ll sail to the picturesque bay of Poros. Here you’ll get to appreciate the Greek white village and its traditional taverns along with the chance to possibly witness the return of the Greek naval cadets. Their arrival will be heralded by the horn sounding from the nearby barracks.
Day 3 - Hydra
On day three you’ll visit the wonderful island of Hydra. Here you can take in the views from the hilltop old merchant houses which overlook the harbour.
Day 4 - Leonido
Today you’ll sail to the Leonidio, home to a great pebble beach and a quaint fishing village located next to the mountains. After dinner, you’ll get to experience some history at a local monastery.
Day 5 - Monemvasia
Day five will see you taking a visit to Monemvasia which is a great location that showcases history from the 13th-century. Here you’ll also get to hike the path that leads to the ruins of the fortified upper town and spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Day 6 - Kiparissi
Today you’ll voyage to Kiparissi where you’ll get to see the beauty of the small and charming fishing villages. This area experiences fewer tourists so you can enjoy its more exclusive feel, along with the bay’s crystal clear waters and the magnificent mountains that surround the villages.
Day 7 - Septses
Today you’ll cruise to the island of Spetses. Spetses is the birthplace of Bouboulina, the naval commander who freed Greece from the rule of Venice and national heroine.
Day 8 - Departure
Today you’ll catch a ferry back to Athens where you’ll transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
WHAT AIRPORT DO I NEED TO FLY TO? For this trip, you will fly into Athens International Airport
HOW LONG IS THE TRANSFER FROM ATHENS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT? It is only a short journey from Athens International Airport to the marina.
DO I NEED TO HAVE PREVIOUS SAILING EXPERIENCE? No not at all, you can learn as much or as little as you’d like, there’s always the option to help the skipper with mooring the ship or alternatively, you can sunbathe and take in the beautiful rays.
CAN I STILL GO ON THE CRUISE IF I SUFFER FROM SEA SICKNESS? Yes, of course, medication is sold on board if necessary but most of the routes the cruises take are between islands meaning that there is a low chance of violent waves.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME? It is advised that you bring a small bag that can be folded if possible due to the limited space (suitcases not advised). Summer clothing, swimwear, a warmer jumper for the cooler evenings, toiletries and a rucksack to take ashore.
WHAT PROPORTION OF GUESTS ARE SINGLES AND COUPLES? The cruises usually consist of 30% couples and 70% singles.
IS THERE A SINGLE SUPPLEMENT? You can book a cabin for yourself at an extra charge, however, if the trip is fully booked you will be asked to share a cabin (usually a bunk bed or twin beds).
