Mindfulness and meditation have been proved to help recentre the body and help cleanse the mind. The Epic Sana Algarve will help contribute to your wellbeing on this 7-night retreat.
Set in 8 hectares of greenery and pine forest as well as being right next to a beach, the property has extensive gardens which you are free to wander. Breathe in the fresh Atlantic Ocean air and enjoy stunning sunsets as standard.
In detail
Day 1
On your first day, you’ll be welcomed and have your be introduced to mindfulness – or reminded about it if you’ve neglected it for some time!
You’ll have sessions on the mindfulness of breath in which you’ll meditate before learning about mindful eating. Following this you’ll try a body scan – a session in which you lay still and focus on different parts of your body under instruction, allowing you to awaken every sense and notice areas of discomfort.
In the afternoon, enjoy a reflexology massage intended to focus on pressure points and release tension.
Day 2
Today you’ll more about the mindfulness of the breath but also learn to focus on sound. Explore mindful walking as well as looking at how your emotions are impacted by your stress levels.
Try another body scan before summing up your morning.
In the afternoon you are free to enjoy the beach and the other facilities Epic Sana has to offer.
Day 3
Today you’ll add to what you’ve learnt already, revisiting mindfulness of the breath, sound, sensations and thoughts.
Learn about mindful communication and mindful movement.
Day 4
On your final day, you’ll reflect on the last few days. Another meditation session will then be complete with a reflection in which you’ll learn how to take what you’ve learnt and integrate it into everyday life.
This afternoon, enjoy a truly relaxing 90-minute Sayanna relaxation massage.

The Fitness Centre, which is open 24 hours a day, has a gym with modern equipment for cardiovascular and weight training. The facility also offers a studio for aerobic and yoga lessons.
