About your itinerary

? Don't forget that if something isn't quite right we can make changes to the itinerary.
I thought ahead of our call on Monday I would send you over another option to take a look at for your Northern Lights Trip for December 2025.
You originally mentioned looking at Iceland, so I thought I would take a look. The activities in Iceland look a little different but I know you were really interested in seeing lots of beautiful nature and this trip really includes lots of that.
You start in beautiful Reykjavík where you will spend the first 5 nights, here you will experience some of the best Iceland has to offer from the Golden Circle and glaciers by snowmobiling to whale watching and the Blue Lagoon before heading over to the Panorama Glass Lodge where you can watch the magnificent Northern Lights overhead.
This one comes in a little more cost-effective by some self-driving but with that also brings a bit more freedom to explore and discover more of how incredible Iceland truly is.
I hope you enjoy having look through this option ahead of our chat on Monday, I am on hand for the rest of this week and Sunday if you have any changes or tweaks you would like me to take a look at.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this fabulous trip soon.

Accommodation Panorama Glass Lodge for 2 nights
If you want to take your Northern Lights watching to the next level, then the Panorama Glass Lodge in Iceland is it. A simple and clever design for a cabin which features an incredible view of the Icelandic landscape and night sky thanks to unique large glass windows that surround the bed.
Built to sleep two people, you can lounge while gazing at the stars above and the night sky around you. By encasing the sleeping area in glass, visitors are guaranteed an unobstructed view of nature night and day.
The home features a small fully equipped kitchen, a dining table, a full-sized bathroom and custom-made king-sized bed. There are window blinds for the walls if more privacy is needed, while the glass roof remains exposed to the sky.
A hot tub located directly next to the lodge will keep you toasty while you stargaze and is a great option for adventurous honeymooners. The owners make sure to keep the hot tub heated to a blazing 38°C (102°F) so you can be sure it will keep you warm, even on the coldest nights.
In addition to the hot tub, there is also a 129-square-foot outdoor terrace on site with a small table and two chairs for al fresco meals.

Today's a free day. Here are a few of my personal recommendations:
Morning: Explore Hella: Start your day by exploring Hella itself. Visit local cafes or bakeries for breakfast, and take a stroll around the town. Hella is a small town, but it has a charming atmosphere.
Drive to Seljalandsfoss: Head east on Route 1 and drive for about 30 minutes to reach Seljalandsfoss, one of Iceland's most famous waterfalls. It's known for the unique opportunity to walk behind the waterfall for a different perspective.
Late Morning to Early Afternoon: Visit Skogafoss: Continue your journey east for another 30 minutes to Skogafoss, another iconic waterfall. Climb the stairs to get a stunning view of the waterfall and the surrounding landscape.
Lunch in Vik: Drive south for approximately 30 minutes to the charming village of Vik. Enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants and explore the black sand beaches and the iconic Reynisdrangar sea stacks.
Afternoon: Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach:
Spend some time at Reynisfjara Beach, known for its unique black sand, basalt columns, and the Reynisdrangar sea stacks. Be cautious of the powerful waves and take in the dramatic scenery.
Dyrhólaey Peninsula: Drive a short distance to Dyrhólaey, a small peninsula with panoramic views of the black sand beaches and the surrounding coastline. It's also a popular spot for birdwatching.
Late Afternoon to Evening: Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon: Head northwest towards Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, which is about a 1.5-hour drive from Vik. The canyon is known for its breathtaking beauty and the meandering Fjaðrá River.
Return to Hella: Head back to Hella, enjoying the changing landscapes during the return journey. You can stop along the way if you spot any interesting viewpoints or attractions.
