About your itinerary

? Don't forget that if something isn't quite right we can make changes to the itinerary.
I am delighted and SO excited to present you with your stunning Norway & Iceland adventure including the amazing 9-day exploration cruise. This trip will be one that you will never forget, as you can see by the stunning itinerary it's a trip of a lifetime.
Starting off in the beautiful city of Oslo, Norway is the perfect start to your journey to these two amazing countries. I think you will love getting lost in the nature, culture, and architecture that this city has to offer. As I want you to feel rested for your 9-day cruise, I have only included a half-day guided tour on your first day to settle you in allowing plenty of time for self-exploration of the city and the many museums waiting to be explored.
To get you to your cruise in time, a first-class train from Oslo to Bergen where you can sit back and relax in the style and comfort of one of the world's most magical train journeys. Get your camera ready as it really is described as one of the most beautiful scenic routes in the world.
Once you board the Atlas World Navigator, your private cabin awaits for the 9-day adventure on this world-class ship. Indulge in the all-inclusive that includes your meals and drinks along with some brilliant days out at each stop.
I wanted to end your trip on a high in Iceland giving you a taste of the LGBT scene, time to detox and relax in the famous hot springs, and to end the trip roaming around the countryside of Iceland on horseback. We didn't discuss your level of riding, but of course, we can talk about that on our call today and ensure we are including the most suited day of riding.
I have not included flights at the moment, we normally are very good at estimating flights that are not currently in range but business flights can be tricky to predict, and would be best for us to wait for the flights to be released.
Availability is going very quickly on the more luxurious cabins with only a few left, so I would suggest we get this secured with a deposit if you love what you are seeing and I can get a cabin on hold for you so that we don't miss out on this amazing trip.
I am looking forward to our call today, and I cannot wait to hear your thoughts on this breathtaking trip.

Text Day 01 - Welcome to Oslo
Upon your arrival in Oslo, a warm welcome awaits you from one of our representatives, who will escort you privately from the airport to the exquisite Thief Hotel, where you will enjoy a two-night stay.
Welcome to Norway
The essence of Norway's appeal is remarkably simple: this is one of the most beautiful countries on earth.

Stirring Landscapes
Impossibly steep-sided Norwegian fjords of extraordinary beauty cut gashes from a jagged coastline deep into the interior. Glaciers, grand and glorious, snake down from ice fields that rank among Europe's largest. Elsewhere, the mountainous terrain of Norway's interior resembles the ramparts of so many natural fortresses, and yields rocky coastal islands that rise improbably from the waters like apparitions. Then, of course, there's the ancient appeal, the spare and staggering beauty of the Arctic. And wherever you find yourself in this most extraordinary country, these landscapes are a backdrop for some of Europe's prettiest villages.
The Call to Action
Enjoying nature in Norway is very much an active pursuit, and this is one of Europe's most exciting and varied adventure-tourism destinations. While some of the activities on offer are geared towards the young, energetic, and fearless, most – such as world-class hiking, cycling, and white-water rafting in summer, and dog-sledding, skiing, and snowmobiling in winter – can be enjoyed by anyone of reasonable fitness. Whether you're here for seemingly endless summer possibilities, or snowsports and the soul-stirring Northern Lights in winter, these activities are an exhilarating means of getting close to nature.
Scandinavian Sophistication
The counterpoint to Norway's ever-present natural beauty is found in its vibrant cultural life. Norwegian cities are cosmopolitan and showcase the famous Scandinavian flair for design through the ages. Bergen, Trondheim, and Ã…lesund must surely rank among Europe's most photogenic cities, while contemporary Arctic-inspired architectural icons grace towns and remote rural settings alike. Food, too, is a cultural passion through which Norwegians push the boundaries of innovation even as they draw deeply on a heartfelt love of tradition. At the same time, a busy calendar of festivals, many of international renown, is worth planning your trip around.

Wonderful Wildlife
When it comes to wildlife, Norway has few peers in Europe. Here you can watch whales – humpback, sperm, and orca, depending on the season – off Andenes, Stø or Tromsø, while the interior offers up wild reindeer, prehistoric musk oxen, ponderous elk (moose) or beguiling Arctic foxes. Birdwatching, too, is a highlight, from the puffins of Bleik to the migratory seabirds of Runde and Varanger. But the real prizes inhabit Norway's high Arctic, in Svalbard, where polar bears and walruses are the poster species for a wilderness of rare, dramatic, and precarious beauty.

The Thief

The Thief for 2 nights

Accommodation The Thief for 2 nights
With its glass, granite and gold design, The Thief is the jewel in the crown of Norwegian boutique hotels. With its quirky yet sophisticated mix of furnishings and contemporary art, including pieces by Damien Hirst and the Queen of Norway, it fulfils its mission to “steal you away from everyday life.
The Thief fits in harmoniously with the surrounding modern buildings on Tjuvholmen ('Thief') Island, so called because it was once an execution ground for thieves. Designed by Mellbye Architects AS, the curved, nine-storey hotel offers large views of the island’s canals, the Oslofjord and a mix of flats, offices and art galleries which characterise the car-free Tjuvholmen. The Renzo Piano-designed Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art is close by, as is the Aker Brygge harbour. The city centre is a 15-minute walk away.
No Scandinavian minimalism at The Thief. On the contrary, the work of interior designer Anemone Wille Våge, combined with curator Sune Nordgren’s acquisitions, results in a quirky yet sophisticated mix of furnishings and contemporary art. A Damien Hirst painting welcomes guests at the Foodbar, while photos by the Queen of Norway hang beside works by Sir Peter Blake, Jeff Koons and Richard Price.
At The Thief Foodbar, British chef David Taylor gives priority to locally sourced ingredients, especially seafood. The concept has changed from the previous Fru K. restaurant: small, large and sweet plates have replaced traditional set menus so guests can create their own meal.
