About your itinerary

? Don't forget that if something isn't quite right we can make changes to the itinerary.
Welcome to Amsterdam & London
It was so lovely catching up with you just a moment ago, I have been working my magic and pulling some strings to see how I can make this amazing trip work for you both without being over budget.
I have been in contact with my contacts at both the Cermont in London & the Kimpton De Witt in Amsterdam and they have offered me a fantastic promotional rate to keep the itinerary at the same price as your original. This means I have been able to keep the amazing tours in the itinerary as well as your flights and upgraded seats on the Eurostar too.
I'll call you in just a moment to chat things through and hopefully get things confirmed.
Enjoy and speak soon.
Best wishes,

Text Welcome to London
London, the capital city of England, is a vibrant and bustling metropolis that offers a unique blend of history, culture, and modernity. From the iconic Big Ben and the Tower Bridge to the trendy neighborhoods of Soho and Shoreditch, London has something for everyone.
The city is home to some of the world's most famous museums, including the British Museum, the National Gallery, and the Tate Modern, which showcase a vast collection of art and artifacts from around the globe. Visitors can also explore the historic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and the Houses of Parliament, which are steeped in centuries of British history.
London is also a foodie's paradise, with a diverse range of cuisines available in every corner of the city. From traditional fish and chips to Michelin-starred restaurants, the city's culinary scene is sure to delight even the most discerning palate.
For those looking for a more relaxed experience, London's parks and gardens offer a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Hyde Park, Regent's Park, and St. James's Park are just a few of the many green spaces where visitors can enjoy a picnic, take a stroll, or simply soak up the sun.
Finally, London's nightlife is legendary, with a plethora of bars, clubs, and live music venues catering to every taste. Whether you're looking for a quiet drink in a cozy pub or a wild night out on the town, London has it all.

The Clermont, Charing Cross

The Clermont, Charing Cross for 5 nights

Accommodation The Clermont, Charing Cross for 5 nights
There’s a renewed vigour about this familiar Charing Cross landmark, one of the 19th-century’s great station hotels. Now with a new name, more is being made of the hotel’s illustrious past but firmly within a contemporary setting. Interiors are opulent, while the rooms offer comfort and modernity.
Set right above Charing Cross station, it’s blessed with excellent train, Tube and bus links. The National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery are just around the corner and the hotel is well positioned for the West End theatres, Covent Garden and river bus routes along the Thames. Have an ice cream in Victoria Embankment Gardens, or pop into reputedly London’s oldest wine bar, Gordon’s, which dates from 1890, on Villiers Street.
The hotel’s French Renaissance exterior (it was completed in 1865 by the same architect who designed the Royal Opera House) is slightly lost as it lies above the entrance to Charing Cross station, although the Eleanor Cross memorial lends a certain grandeur to the forecourt. Head beyond the understated entrance and lobby and you are in a world of Instagrammable delights, from the impressive original staircase to a red telephone box. Elsewhere the Clermont Restaurant and Bar on the first floor is the go-to spot; French influences are revealed via numerous fashion-oriented paintings that reflect how the hotel was popular with 19th-century continental travellers.
The ballroom – once the hotel’s coffee house and restaurant (now used for meetings or events) is worth a peek for its sculpted ceiling and stained-glass windows. The distinctive bridge above Villiers Street connects the Buckingham Wing of rooms that was added in 1888.
The high-ceilinged dining room and adjacent bar are special indeed with plush seating and paintings of 19th-century fashions and botanical images. The bar is certainly popular early evening with its view of The Strand and beyond, plus a fun range of cocktails including a Smoked Cuban Old Fashioned and the tequila-based Bombin, while the dining room has the feel of a turn-of-the-century tea salon.
Aim for the glass conservatory, which sits above the main entrance and offers great views; the central sofa seat has the best panorama. The classic British all-day menu is top-notch with dishes such as roasted sea bass fillets, steak and ale pie and chargrilled chicken. Afternoon tea is available (from £30), and breakfast is well worth making time for with a mix of self-service and à carte dishes – the Cornish crab and cured salmon omelette is a winner.

Gluten-free in London? Your days of anxiously dining out are (almost) over. There are more top-notch restaurants catering to coeliacs than you can shake a gluten-free breadstick at in our fine, ever so allergy-friendly city. Whether it’s pasta, pastries or breakfast, you’ll find it here, in our tried-and-tested list of the best places to eat gluten-free.
Indigo at One Aldwych
Spreading the gluten-free gospel in Covent Garden, One Aldwych’s good-looking flagship restaurant goes full-on with a menu that’s 100 percent on the side of coeliacs (and those who need to eat dairy-free). Executive chef Dominic Teague had dreamed up a host of innovative, seasonal dishes to wow the punters, including a Cornish tasting menu for £95, featuring slow cooked lamb breast and monkfish in seaweed.
NOPI
Chef/author/TV chef Yotam Ottolenghi struck culinary gold with his game-changing Ottolenghi cafés, but Nopi is his more formal, more grown-up take on proceedings – although its bold fusion food shares the same eclectic magpie ethos. Finding something that’s gluten-free isn’t a problem here – in fact, the menu is peppered with possibilities (marinated beetroot with sumac chutney, wasabi labneh and taro, anybody?)
Niche
Gluten-free and next door to Sadler’s Wells, this bijou bistro-style restaurant really does have its own gastro-niche – whether you’re into buttermilk fried chicken, bangers and mash, wild mushroom gnocchi or doughnuts (dishes that would normally have coeliacs running for the hills). Everything on the massive menu meets dietary requirements, and Niche even has a special selection for IBS sufferers on a ‘low FODMAP’ diet.
Locanda Locatelli
All dietary requirements are catered for at this sleek and swanky Londons spot – including that holy grail of gluten-free dishes, wheat-free pasta. You’re in good hands at this Michelin-starred big-hitter – although you might need to raid the piggy bank before planning a slap-up meal here.
Dishoom
Indian cuisine tends to be more forgiving to diners with food allergies and intolerances, with many dishes free from dairy and gluten. However, Dishoom is a cut above when it comes to accommodating special diets: most of its grilled meats, salads, vegetable sides and curries (including the signature black dhal) are gluten-free or can be tweaked to suit coeliacs, while staff take any questions about the menu in their stride.
Duck & Waffle
Stunning 360-degree views and 24/7 opening are the big selling points at this hot cookie up on the 40th floor of Heron Tower, but the food isn’t far behind. There are always plenty of ‘gluten-conscious’ offerings on the eclectic carte – from snacks such as bacon-wrapped dates to raw yellowfin tuna with pickled watermelon or the signature ‘duck and waffle’ combo (preferably served with hojicha-stem green tea on the side).

Your Windsor Castle from London Chauffeured visit is the only way to truly visit Windsor in comfort and royal style. With your private Mercedes and very own chauffeur, we will take you out of London to the charming and quaint English countryside to the stately and favorite English home of the Royal Family. The town of Windsor is of great importance and in times of war became the new home of the family. Though packed full of fascinating artifacts and historical gems, this medieval fortress is not just a museum but a functioning political building and home of the reigning monarch.
From its small but crucial origins as a collection of wooden castles built aside the river Thames to its grand and expensive medieval redevelopment. Windsor’s first function was defense. Moving with the times Windsor showcases all the latest architectural styles from the last 1000 years. With elegant ballrooms and hosting spaces for dignitaries built to be so decadent they could rival Versailles, you will feel truly royal as you walk through the castle grounds. Your private chauffeur will drive you straight to the palace gates, leaving you to wonder at your own leisure before bringing you back to the city to your hotel, bar, restaurant, or location of choice for an afternoon of reflection on the royal splendor. For those who wish to upgrade, the tour can be fully accompanied by a private tour guide for the entire tour at an additional fee, otherwise, simply enjoy the stories and explanations of the private chauffeur on route!
Experience the lavish beauty of the secret private rooms belonging to the monarchy, enter the enchanting church that witnessed the explosive burial of one of England’s ‘Largest’ monarchs, and follow in the footsteps of Prince Harry and Megan Markle at the sight of their wedding. Wander through state apartments like a royal guest and stand in rooms that have hosted kings, queens, and heads of state for hundreds of years, before heading back to London after a day of luxury.
For those who don’t want to visit the castle completely independently, you can choose the “private guide on board” add-on and you will be accompanied by an expert Blue Badge guide for the entirety of the drive and tour.

* Entry tickets are included. Please note that there might be a security line to enter the castle.

Welcome to Amsterdam

Welcome to Amsterdam

Text Welcome to Amsterdam
Golden Age canals lined by tilting gabled buildings are the backdrop for Amsterdam's treasure-packed museums, vintage-filled shops and hyper-creative drinking, dining and design scenes.
Urban Explorations
Amsterdam's canal-woven core is laced by atmospheric narrow lanes. You never know what you'll find: a tiny hidden garden; a boutique selling witty, stylised Dutch-designed homewares and fashion; a jewel-box-like jenever (Dutch gin) distillery; a flower stall filled with tulips in a rainbow of hues; an old monastery-turned-classical-music-venue; an ultra-niche restaurant such as an all-avocado specialist or one reinventing age-old Dutch classics. Fringing the centre, post-industrial buildings in up-and-coming neighbourhoods now house creative enterprises, from art galleries to craft breweries and cutting-edge tech start-ups, as well as some of Europe's hottest clubs.
Admiring Art
You can't walk a kilometre without bumping into a masterpiece in the city. The Van Gogh Museum hangs the world's largest collection by tortured native son Vincent. A few blocks away, Vermeers, Rembrandts and other Golden Age treasures fill the glorious Rijksmuseum. The Museum het Rembrandthuis offers more of Rembrandt via his etching-packed studio, while the Stedelijk Museum counts Matisses and Mondrians among its modern stock. And for blockbuster displays, the Hermitage Amsterdam delivers: the outpost of Russia's State Hermitage Museum sifts through its three-million-piece home trove to mount mega exhibitions.
Bike & Boat Travel
Two-wheeling is a way of life here. It's how Amsterdammers commute to work, go to the shop, and meet a date for dinner. Abundant bike-hire shops make it easy to gear up and take a spin. If locals aren't on a bike, they may well be on the water. With its canals and massive harbour, this city reclaimed from the sea offers countless opportunities to drift. Hop aboard a canal boat (preferably an open-air one) or one of the free ferries behind Centraal Station, or rent your own for a wind-in-your-hair ride.
Feel Gezellig
Amsterdam is famously gezellig, a Dutch quality that translates roughly as 'convivial' or 'cosy'. It's more easily experienced than defined. There's a sense of time stopping, an intimacy of the here-and-now that leaves your troubles behind, at least until tomorrow. The easiest place to encounter this feeling is a bruin café (brown cafe; traditional drinking establishment). Named for their wood panelling and walls once stained by smoke, brown cafes have gezelligheid (cosiness) on tap, along with good beer. You can also feel gezellig lingering after dinner in snug restaurants while the candles burn low.

Ten years ago, gluten avoiders were still forced to nibble on dry rice cakes from a lunchbox. That’s all changed nowadays, as there are many places in Amsterdam where you can get the most delicious gluten-free cakes, sandwiches, pizza and much more. Here’s our roundup of the top gluten-free restaurants and cafes to keep your belly happy.
Craft Coffee & Pastry
What do you miss most when you don't eat gluten? For many, the answer is: croissants! People flock from all over the world to Craft Coffee & Pastry in De Pijp – a 100% gluten-free bakery making croissants in many varieties, crostatas, muffins, baguettes and many more treats. Take them home for later or eat them right away while enjoying a cup of coffee (with a gluten-free cookie, of course).

Loulou Pizzabar
Finding decent gluten-free pizza sometimes seems almost impossible. But not at Loulou Pizzabar, where their ultimate gluten-free pizza is developed in their pizza lab in Italy. The thin and crispy crust (made from pea flour, rice flour and corn flour) topped with fresh tomato sauce, rivals "normal" pizza. The vast choice of toppings, from prosciutto cotto to marinated octopus, rounds it out. And best of all: no gluten in sight!
Croque Madame
Gluten-free lunch in the centre of Amsterdam? Stroll past Croque Madame, a cosy bistro where all the menu items are 100% gluten-free. Whether you opt for a delicious burger, tosti, sandwich, pastry or another sweet snack, you never have to worry about cross-contamination in the kitchen.
Wild & The Moon
A group of like-minded chefs, nutritionists and naturopaths share their way of healthy living with you at Wild & The Moon, now with four locations around town. Here you can only order honest food that is good for you, good for the planet and above all, very tasty. Everything is gluten-free (and sugar-, lactose- and milk-free). Start your day with the moon porridge or a matcha bowl, enjoy a banh mi for lunch and end the day well with a pizzeta, salad bowl or burger. And don't forget to take home a detox juice.
Spaghetteria
Nothing beats a warming dollop of comfort food. And what could be better than pasta without the stomach ache? Fortunately, in Amsterdam, you never have to look far because, with eight locations across the city, there is bound to be a Spaghetteria near you. The Italian chefs prepare fresh pasta for the daily changing menu- full of flavour and without fuss. Nearly all the dishes on the menu can be served in a gluten-free version. Buon appetito!
Arepa Shop Amsterdam
Most people who do not eat gluten probably already know the De Glutenvrije Winkel (The Gluten-Free Shop), but of course, it should not be missing from this list. It is not only a store with a large assortment of gluten-free products but also a knowledge centre and an eatery. Enjoy a cup of coffee with gluten-free cake before loading up your shopping basket with all the essentials you need.

Text Amsterdam Pride 2024
One of Europe's most popular gay festivals. Pride Amsterdam 2024 is taking place from 27th July to 4th August – and unlike most cities, this one takes place on a canal!
Amsterdam Pride usually sees dozens of spectacularly decorated boats will sail through Amsterdam's canals, with 500,000+ spectators. Events such as Pink Tours at the Rijksmuseum and performances of Off-Broadway classic Fun Home made Pride extremely special.
The main event is the world-renowned Amsterdam Gay Pride Canal Parade which will take place on August 3rd, 2024, from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM. This exceptional event takes place along the picturesque waterways of Oosterdok, Nieuwe Herengracht, Amstel, Prinsengracht, and Westerdok.
The canal parade, a true spectacle in itself, stands as the central attraction of the vibrant Amsterdam Pride celebrations. Be captivated by the procession of lavishly adorned floats, where the term 'float' takes on a literal and extravagant significance. On the second Saturday of the festivities, a fleet of 80 creatively themed vessels bask in the Dutch sunlight, accompanied by onboard DJs who infuse the parade with infectious beats. Their captivating themes and beaming smiles create a show that wows both the audience along the Prinsengracht and Amstel River.
Amidst this colorful display, smaller boats gather along the canal walls and at the confluence of adjacent watercourses. Their occupants revel in the celebration, coming together to form a colossal flotilla of merriment. As the boats shimmy and sway, an air of festivity fills the Amsterdam atmosphere, making the Canal Parade an event of sheer jubilation and monumental celebration of inclusivity and diversity.
