About your itinerary

? Don't forget that if something isn't quite right we can make changes to the itinerary.
I am delighted to present you with your truly spectacular honeymoon itinerary for this coming July exploring the likes of London, Barcelona & Mykonos.
I know this is truly a special trip so I wanted it to be perfect to reflect the occasion. I am delighted to say despite this being peak season within Europe I have managed to curate a truly beauitful itinerary for you both.
Starting your honeymoon in London, I have chosen the classically British-style hotel The Clermont, Charing Cross. Perfectly located in the heart of London. The hotel has a beautiful contemporary design and is a short walk away from some of London's top attractions along with the LGBT area of SOHO. London is a place where you can wonder to your heart's content but I wanted to include a unique way to explore this city in your very own Mini Cooper exploring all of the highlights.
As a little something from me as a huge congratulations on your marriage and your first trip as Mr & Mr, I have arranged a special afternoon tea in The Savoy which is such an iconic place in London. No trip to the UK is complete without experiencing a classic afternoon tea.
For your time in Barcelona, I have chosen the design hotel Ohla Eixample, which is truly beauitful and situated in the LGBT area of Barcelona. As I wanted to make the most of your time in this amazing city I have included a full-day tour of all of the highlights in a small group tour allowing you to explore the best it has to offer along with the famous La Sagrada Familia. For me, one of the best experiences in Spain is indulging in all of the tapas and culture which includes the traditional flamenco dancing.
Finally, you will arrive at the LGBT island of Mykonos, an iconic Greek island that is a must-visit place for our community. I know we spoke about staying close to the beach and this is why I have chosen the stunning Myconian Utopia, situated by the LGBT beach Elias. I have left your time here completely free as I know you mentioned Joe has a preference for relaxing by the beach. I think this will be the perfect relaxation to finish off your honeymoon.
I am please to say I have found some amazing Business class flights that will allow you to depart and return to Appleton. These do require an overnight layover in Zurich. But looking at all of the other options I think these are the best prices and connections without having to take 4 different planes to get home.
I simply cannot wait to talk through everything with you and hopefully get your honeymoon in the diary.

The Clermont, Charing Cross for 4 nights

Accommodation The Clermont, Charing Cross for 4 nights
There’s a renewed vigour about this familiar Charing Cross landmark, one of the 19th-century’s great station hotels. Now with a new name, more is being made of the hotel’s illustrious past but firmly within a contemporary setting. Interiors are opulent, while the rooms offer comfort and modernity.
Set right above Charing Cross station, it’s blessed with excellent train, Tube and bus links. The National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery are just around the corner and the hotel is well positioned for the West End theatres, Covent Garden and river bus routes along the Thames. Have an ice cream in Victoria Embankment Gardens, or pop into reputedly London’s oldest wine bar, Gordon’s, which dates from 1890, on Villiers Street.
The hotel’s French Renaissance exterior (it was completed in 1865 by the same architect who designed the Royal Opera House) is slightly lost as it lies above the entrance to Charing Cross station, although the Eleanor Cross memorial lends a certain grandeur to the forecourt. Head beyond the understated entrance and lobby and you are in a world of Instagrammable delights, from the impressive original staircase to a red telephone box. Elsewhere the Clermont Restaurant and Bar on the first floor is the go-to spot; French influences are revealed via numerous fashion-oriented paintings that reflect how the hotel was popular with 19th-century continental travellers.
The ballroom – once the hotel’s coffee house and restaurant (now used for meetings or events) is worth a peek for its sculpted ceiling and stained-glass windows. The distinctive bridge above Villiers Street connects the Buckingham Wing of rooms that was added in 1888.
The high-ceilinged dining room and adjacent bar are special indeed with plush seating and paintings of 19th-century fashions and botanical images. The bar is certainly popular early evening with its view of The Strand and beyond, plus a fun range of cocktails including a Smoked Cuban Old Fashioned and the tequila-based Bombin, while the dining room has the feel of a turn-of-the-century tea salon.
Aim for the glass conservatory, which sits above the main entrance and offers great views; the central sofa seat has the best panorama. The classic British all-day menu is top-notch with dishes such as roasted sea bass fillets, steak and ale pie and chargrilled chicken. Afternoon tea is available (from £30), and breakfast is well worth making time for with a mix of self-service and à carte dishes – the Cornish crab and cured salmon omelette is a winner.

The Gothic Quarter
Your Day Tour of Barcelona begins with a walk around the famous Gothic Quarter. The picturesque, cobbled streets are home to many fantastic sites; you’ll see ruins of the Temple of Augustus, which stood at the heart of the ancient Roman city, a Picasso frieze, and the modern seats of power in Catalonia. One of the highlights of the area is the magnificent Gothic Cathedral of Barcelona, dedicated to Saint Eulalia. Take the elevator up to the terrace, for incredible views of the Gothic Quarter; go down to the crypt and explore the cathedral’s cloister, where 13 geese live among the palm trees. Why? In memory of Saint Eulalia who was martyred aged 13 by the Romans.
La Sagrada Familia
After a break for lunch, the group will take a taxi to Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece. No day in Barcelona would be complete without seeing La Sagrada Familia up close. With a skip-the-line entrance on this tour, you’ll enter straight into the church that Barcelona hopes will finally be completed by 2026. As your senses try to absorb all the colors, and sculptures, your guide will help you focus on the different stories. The history of the church and its architecture is just as fascinating. The deeply religious Gaudi even moved here from Park Guell so he could dedicate all his time and energies to the forest of stone that would become his final resting place. Your tour of La Sagrada Familia will end with a visit to Gaudi’s tomb in the church’s crypt.
Park Guell
Another short taxi ride and discover how Gaudi transformed a rocky hill into an enchanting wonderland and incorporated nature into his designs. You’ll learn more about Gaudi’s style and how it evolved; you’ll see his passion for color, natural lines, and details throughout the park. Stop to see the famous El Drac, the smiling lizard that has become the symbol of Catalonia, and take memorable photos of your day tour in front of the most stunning views in Barcelona.
