With its stunning beaches and amazing views from the hilltops I am certain that this is going to be a perfect addition to the itinerary. I have included an upgraded room at the Naxian on the beach, I know you loved the aesthetics on our call, Josh.
You'll finish in dreamy Santorini, I was so happy to discover that my all-time favourite Santorini hotel has offered an INCREDIBLE rate for you dates, which has enabled me to upgrade your room. The Dana Villas is located in Fira, nestled into the cliff, where the sun sets into the endless blue of the Aegean Sea, this romantic hotel is a portrait of design perfection. Welcome to Athens

Text Welcome to Athens
With equal measures of grunge and grace, Athens is a heady mix of ancient history and contemporary cool.
The magnificent Acropolis, visible from almost every part of the city, is the hub around which Athens still revolves. This temple city, built in the 5th century BC, serves as a daily reminder to Greeks of their heritage and the city's many transformations. All over the urban basin, rooftops and balconies angle toward the landmark, a block of milky marble atop a steep-sided hill. Pull up your own chair, settle in and allow time to appreciate the Acropolis' many moods, as the light shifts and the clouds cast their shifting shadows.
The cultural and social life of Athens plays out amid, around and in landmarks that are centuries old, if not millennia. The remnants of Ancient Greece get the most attention, of course, thanks to a little thing called democracy. Oh, and mythology, and drama, and philosophy. But don't overlook the 'later' years: thousand-year-old Byzantine churches, for instance, which squat, unruffled in the middle of streets and attached to hillsides. Ottoman traces can be seen in architecture and in food. And the neoclassical style of the 19th century adds elegance all over the centre.

Completing this holistic hospitality experience built on the foundations of Greek Food, Ergon House offers contemporary living spaces spread over the floors above the marketplace. All rooms include the hotel's signature breakfast and come in four sizes, with privileged access to communal kitchens and lounges, a gym and a panoramic rooftop terrace.
The spaces are a collaboration with leading local designers and artists – the tribute to Greece ever-present in natural materials, traditional craft and references to the vernacular, paired with a strong contemporary line.
Large, double-glazed windows invite all the spectacle and none of the soundtrack to views of the Parthenon and city, or the buzz of the Agora. Seamless service is a given and we’ve done away with in-room dining because the whole Ergon House experience places food centre stage.
So, while the curated minibar delicatessen should tide you over, the Agora awaits some of the best food in town, or fresh market ingredients with which to make your own magic in one of the dedicated kitchens.
Medium Room with City View
Medium Room with City View
Medium Room with City View

Your room: Medium Room with City View

A touch more spacious, the MEDIUM has views of the urban landscape or the atrium, and its raised four-poster bed, reminiscent of the traditional ‘on trades’ of Pelion, comes in super-king, king or twin sizes.

Natural daylight floods through large double-glazed windows with atrium views, as well as a glass brick feature. Custom mood lights, fittings and furniture are arranged in a contemporary open plan that includes a wireless work area and open closet, loosely screened by breeze blocks used on the Greek islands in the ‘60s that add a touch of retro chic.

Walnut parquets transition to grey marble in the wet areas, and patterned tiles are inspired by medieval ‘xysta’ motifs found on the island of Chios. Beautiful basins, hand-carved from reclaimed marble treads, provide a pleasing contrast to sleek brushed brass fixtures in a bathroom stocked with natural products that are custom-made for Ergon House.

Welcome to Mykonos

Text Welcome to Mykonos
Mykonos is the great glamour island of Greece and flaunts its sizzling St-Tropez-meets-Ibiza style and party-hard reputation. The high-season mix of hedonistic holidaymakers, cruise-ship crowds, buff gay men and posturing fashionistas throngs Mykonos Town (aka Hora), a gorgeous whitewashed Cycladic maze, delighting in its cubist charms and its chichi cafe-bar-boutique scene.
The island is maxed out with cashed-up (or spendthrift) visitors, hip hotels, beach bars and restaurants. There are a few provisos about visiting here. Come only if you are prepared to pay. And are intent on jostling with street crowds. And sitting bum cheek to cheek with oiled-up loungers at the packed main beaches. Oh, and partying relentlessly. Out of season, devoid of gloss and preening celebrities, Hora basically closes, with nothing but the occasional person and pelican wandering the empty streets.
Mykonos is the jumping-off point for the archaeological site of the nearby island of Delos.

Best Trails in Mykonos

Text Best Trails in Mykonos
You said that you loved the outdoors and enjoying beautiful beaches, I had to include some of the best trails for you on the island of Mykonos.
Roads and trails lead to and around the enticing main town of Hora, as well as the island’s famous – and not-so-famous – beaches. You’ll find stretches of solitude amid wildflowers in the spring and early summer. You can even visit a working lighthouse with arresting views of nearby islands.
Waterfront and Windmills
1 mile (1.6km) round trip; 2-3 hours; easy
Leave the crowded passages of old-town Hora behind and get some seaside air on this walk, an excellent introduction to Mykonos. Start at white-washed Taxi Square (Plateia Manto Mavrogenous) and follow the harbor-front walk west to the Old Jetty. Walk to the end of the stone redoubt that protects Hora from the open sea, and you’ll see myriad tour boats buzzing amid swanky yachts and ferries bringing new hordes of holidaymakers.
Continue back around the waterfront until you reach Little Venice, the oldest – and most-photographed – part of Hora. You’ll no doubt spend much time getting blissfully lost in the warren of streets within – but for now, pause amidst the bougainvillea at one of the cafes with water views. Suitably restored, head south to the gentle walkway up to the seven windmills, which along with the pelicans, are the symbols of Mykonos. (note: you’ll be part of a crowd if it’s near sunset.) Wander the rocky shoreline before you plunge back into the Hora maelstrom.
South Coast beaches
Best coastal trail for beaches
4 miles (6.4km) one way; 3–5 hours; moderate
This beautiful walk takes in most of the famous beaches Mykonos is famous for. You can do it in one long swath of sun, sand and hedonism, or in segments between your beaches of choice. Know that in high season you’ll be far from alone, as many others flit on foot from beach to beach to revel in the island’s high-energy vibe.
Start with the wonderful chaos of Ornos Beach, before you head southeast along the narrow cove and up and over the modest, vacation-rental-dotted hill to Psarou Beach, where you’ll find a mannered crowd reading Vogue and The Economist. A few minutes southeast brings you to the long swath of white sand at Platys Gialos. Rent something fun from the excellent water-sports center and cool off in the refreshing Aegean.
Continue along a superb beach walkway to the popular cove at Paranga and take the short detour down the narrow peninsula to immerse yourself in water views. Continue on the coastal trail around the small headlands to Paradise Beach, one of the most famous in all the Mediterranean. Meander the tangle of dirt roads snaking around the next headland to find Super Paradise, home to the island’s most raucous clubs. From here you can catch a small boat (caïque) to the beaches back west or go east to the appealing Agrari and Elia beaches.
Armenistis Lighthouse
Best hike for escaping the crowds
3.5 miles (5.6km) one way; 2–3 hours; moderate
You can forget you’re on one of the very most popular Greek islands on this hike, which finishes at a working lighthouse with sublime views.
From Hora, follow the waterfront past Agia Anna Beach, the Old Port and the jumble of the New Port. Then, turn inland and climb the gentle hills, choosing narrow dirt roads that head north. The density of cubic white holiday apartments gradually thins as you leave the harbor behind. From February through June, wildflowers enliven the palette and the hardy Mykonos shrubs are at their greenest.
Look for the glassy tip of the Armenistis Lighthouse to poke onto the horizon as you walk the gravel and dirt roads. You can peer up into the tower from the base of the still-in-use lighthouse, which dates to 1891. From this knoll on the northwest tip of Mykonos, Tinos rises out of the impossibly blue Aegean and seems much closer than its 15km-distance. Return to Hora by different roads for some variety or summon a taxi.

Text Welcome to Naxos
The largest of the Cyclades, Naxos packs a lot of bang for its buck. Its main town of Hora has a gorgeous waterfront and a web of steep cobbled alleys below its hilltop kastro and fortified Venetian mansions – testament to three centuries of Venetian rule. You needn’t travel far, though, to find isolated beaches, atmospheric mountain villages, ancient sites and marble quarries.
Naxos was a cultural centre of Classical Greece and Byzantium, and Venetian and Frankish influences also left their mark. Its high mountains form rain clouds, and consequently Naxos is more fertile and green than most of the other Cyclades islands. It produces olives, grapes, figs, citrus fruit, corn and potatoes. Mt Zeus (also known as Mt Zas; 1004m) is the Cyclades’ highest peak and is the central focus of the island’s mountainous interior, where you will find enchanting villages such as Halki and Apiranthos.

Naxos is often overshadowed by its more well-known and well-Instagrammed neighbours, Santorini and Mykonos. But having been to all three, Naxos has an identity of its own. With its unspoilt and peaceful atmosphere with beautiful landscapes and smaller less built up towns to explore, it can provide a truly authentic experience. And how can you forget the sensational beaches the island has to offer!
Here are some of my favourite tips for some self-exploration on this charming island where you are guaranteed to snap a shot of the classic Greek white winding streets without a tourist in sight!
Wander the beautiful streets of the old town, Chora Santorini and Mykonos seem to get all the attention over on Instagram, but like I said above, Naxos’s stunning old town far surpasses them in a lot of ways. Pretty, intimate, winding streets with all the classic Greek tiled floors and blue doors, yet free from other travellers walking through them in their numbers. It’s all entirely pedestrianised, too.
Naxos' old town is a proper wonderland, typically Greek and endlessly intriguing. You think you’ve covered nearly all the flower-lined streets and then you turn a corner and find a whole new warren of them full of tavernas and shops.
Walk up to the Temple of Apollo (Portara)
This lovely walk is one of the top things to do in Naxos and won't leave you disappointed! The Temple of Apollo is the main landmark of Naxos and the first thing that strikes you when you arrive.
The temple stands on top of the hill on the little islet of Palatia, which was once properly part of Naxos but is now only clinging on via a slim causeway. Palatia is tiny and you can walk around its circumference in a few minutes. This means that the Temple of Apollo is stunning from every angle, with a marble doorway to frame either the island or the sea for your viewing pleasure. There are some other ruins around the main frame, too.
This is one of the things to do in Naxos that you can happily do more than once over the course of your stay if you have time. Visiting Portara in full sunshine is great, but as the sun sets you’ll see it in a new light. Literally.
Take a Bus Tour of Naxos
If you are not looking to rent a car but you want to catch some distance, I would thoroughly recommend a lovely bus tour or a private tour of the island and its amazing towns, villages and sights! If you don't mind being with other eager travellers during transit, it can make for a really fun day out where you are seeing many of the inland as well as seaside spots that are worth discovering. Some of these include:
  • Demeter’s Temple, Sangri – Ruined Temple with Museum
  • Damalas – A little village with a traditional olive press and lots of flower pots!
  • Chalki – Home of a citron distillery, the Greek's local drink
  • Apiranthos – Beautiful marble village with great lunch options
  • Apollonas – A seaside sweetheart with a stunning beach and scenic views of the local ruined statue.
Walk up to the Castle (Kastro)
Looming above Naxos old town is the citadel, kastro, built in the 13th century by a Venetian duke and still partly surrounded by walls. It’s a maze of quiet squares and alleyways leading to various monasteries and museums. It’s also got real houses inside, still very much lived in, and bustling cafés. Because you’re at the highest point of the town, you get some excellent views.
Dine at Outdoor Restaurant with Lampshades
The lampshades of Naxos may well become the next most-photographed thing on Instagram. They’re definitely incredibly picturesque and worth seeking out while you’re in the old town.
Buy a ‘magic’ Pythagorean Cup
Ceramics are a big deal on Naxos. There are shops everywhere, and I am sure you won't be able to resist buying one of the Pythagorean wine cups made on Naxos, complete with a ‘magic’ trick. A Pythagorean cup is a practical joke designed to teach any greedy drinkers who don’t know their limits a lesson.
Pythagoras – yes, he of the theorem that everyone learns in school and then forgets in real life – apparently also invented this cup. If you fill it up beyond a certain point, it creates a siphon effect and all the booze pours out of the bottom, ruining the drinker’s outfit and of course delivering much hilarity for all their mates.

ANCIENT GREEK WISDOM ON BODY & MIND
SOMA spa embodies Ancient Greek inherent therapies and botanic ingredients found in Greek nature. Our true nature is denoted in our name, the Greek word Soma, which means body. Our aim is to promote your well-being and trigger your body senses to a happiness mode during your time in Santorini. Manual massage techniques stimulate and gently regenerate your body cells, energizing circulation, while our herbal and organic products inspired by the Hellenics, complement the manually imposed healing action
FEEL LIKE A GODDESS WITHIN
History reveals that Ancient Greeks attached great importance to “beauty”, personified as a sacred gift in goddess Aphrodite. In Athens, during the 7th century, societies experimented with a range of olive oil elixirs infused with essences of Greek herbs, flowers and fruits, for their beneficial properties on balancing the soul in the body and moisturising the skin. At Soma Spa we draw the inspiration from Greek traditions and apply them with modern state of the art techniques on facials and body therapies.  The “fathers” of medicine, Hippocrates and Asclepius, utilized a range of herbs and flowers, in olive oil and laurel oil, to treat body conditions, using simple massage techniques, known as "masso" at the time. Although kneading came from the Far East, it first appeared in Ancient Greece in 800 BC, where it perceived a status of medical importance.

STATE OF THE ART CHIROPRACTICS
We mold and caress your body, resulting in multi-facet therapeutic benefits for your skin, health, body and relaxation.  Tension is instantly reduced, pleasure is maximized, muscle tightness is softened, blood circulation is toned, jet lag is relieved, and posture is improved.  Inside a therapy, the body releases endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers, into the brain and the nervous system, resulting in a deep feeling of happiness inside the soul.  Visit Soma Spa and discover a charming serene cave space offering delightful cave massage rooms, changing facilities and a relaxing indoor hot tub and a hammam, the popular steam bath. This is the place to clear your mind, think of love, let stress fade away and relax body and mind in the serene mystique atmosphere.

Finally, we sail back to Vlychada Marine. Departure time and arrival time depend on whether you choose the morning or the sunset cruise. As this is the sunset tour, you will have the opportunity to experience one of the most sought-after sunsets in the world while on board.
