I had such a lovely time speaking with you on Wednesday about your plans for your 5th Wedding Anniversary in France. I am therefore very pleased to present your itinerary for the fabulous Paris, luxury escape to Normandy and day trip to Versailles.
You will begin by being collected by your private first-class vehicle from Charles De Gaulle Airport, I have been sure to include a Mercedes S Class throughout your stay in France. You mentioned that you had looked at the stunning Peninsula which is where you will be spending your first 4 nights in Paris. I have chosen to upgrade your room to the Grand Premier Room for your stay.
Whilst here you will be celebrating your Anniversary. I have added some of my recommendations of fantastic restaurants in your itinerary however Parisian culture means that a lot of places will be closed on Sunday which is the 6th of October. I have checked with some of our favourite restaurants and they do not accept reservations on Sundays – this is pretty typical so I would love to have a chat about this and see what we can do to make this super special for you in place of a reservation on the Sunday.
Following your stay in Paris you will be whisked away to the countryside in your private vehicle. Normandy is a quintessential slice of rural France and the perfect place to spend your two-night rendezvous. Le Domaine d'Ablon is a fantastic farm escape and has a range of things to do and see whilst there. I will let the photos and descriptions speak for themselves as this property truly is a one-of-a-kind.
After two nights you will return to France to the gorgeous 5* InterContinental Paris Le Grand, I felt it was important for you to explore a new arrondissement whilst still being within walking distance of some of the top sights to see in Paris. Your day trip to Versailles Palace and Gardens wouldn’t be complete without a private tour by golf cart – this is such an incredible way to explore the wonders of the Palace.
I have been sure to leave you plenty of downtime to relax and explore your surroundings at your own pace. Your itinerary includes a list of must-do’s and see’s whilst you visit.

Today after a fabulous morning at leisure, you will be collected by your driver outside of your hotel, ready for a beautiful afternoon at Versailles!
Your Private Versailles Tour begins when you meet your private expert guide just in front of the main entrance into Versailles. You will start by touring the vast gardens in a comfortable four-seat golf cart. Using a golf cart, allows you to fully appreciate all of the major garden attractions in a shorter time, giving you more time inside to admire the amazingly ornate rooms. Your guide will make sure you get to see all the highlights in the gardens, including Louis XIV’s private retreat “The Grand Trianon” and Marie Antoinette’s former home. If your timing is right, you might catch the seasonal water show at the garden’s central fountains.
Once you are finished exploring the gardens, your guide will lead you past the long lines and into the Palace. Hosting 2300 rooms in total, the most famous is said to be the 240 foot-long Galerie des Glaces, The Hall of Mirrors. Your guide will take you back in time as they describe what life was like in the 17th century when visitors saw themselves in a full-length mirror for the first time. Mirrors were expensive and rare, so to have one room filled with more than three hundred was a way for Louis VX to show his wealth and power. Next it is on to see the 18th century Royal Chapel, one of five churches on the Versailles estate. An interesting mix of architectural influences, it is best known for its colorful ceiling paintings and its historic organ. From there you will leave the religious world behind and move on to the opulent State Apartment, or offices of the king, where royalty would meet with important members of society and politics on a daily basis.
You will get a chance to see the areas of the Palace in a more intimate setting having reserved the best available time to visit.
