About your itinerary

? Don't forget that if something isn't quite right we can make changes to the itinerary.
Dear Winston & Chris,
Thank you so much for your call yesterday about your amazing honeymoon plans to experience the wonders of both South Africa & Mauritius. I am delighted to enclose your exciting itinerary, that covers the bustle and cosmopolitan style of Cape Town, the vast magical wildlife that await you in Kruger, and ending on the sandy shores for Chris in Mauritius!
Included in your itinerary, I have made sure you all everything catered for, inclusive of your international flights out of London Heathrow with Emirates, as well as our luxury meet & greet services on arrival into each Airport.
During your time in Cape Town, you will be staying in the quirky up and coming area of Kloof Street, where you have plenty of fantastic restaurants, bars and shops all at your disposal, whilst also being just a 5 min cab ride from downtown. You will have the chance to experience the highlights of the city with your expert guide on the first day, exploring the historical landmarks as well as heading up Table Mountain for that spectacular view across the city and Camps Bay.
I also know you love adventure and wildlife, and no time in Cape Town could be complete without exploring the Cape Peninsular. From the friendly african penguins, to the iconic Chapman’s Peak Drive, you are in for a fun-filled day making many memories.
I have added in your domestic flights to/from Kruger for additional ease, where you will be staying at one of my favourites, Kings Camp! It really is a stunning property and one that I loved when I went. Plus I wanted to make sure Chris had that ideal experience with the potential for an elephant to drink from the pool (not guaranteed of course!).
As flights from Kruger via Jo’berg to Mauritius are not available from Hoedspruit for your dates, I opted to add in one night at the lovely Intercontinental by the Airport for ease, before taking the first flight out to Mauritius so you get there just after lunch. You will see I have added in your rental car for your 5 days, with automatic transmission of course! As well as a special beachfront stay at 5* Long Beach Resort.
With everything included, we are on the higher end at £8,395.00 per person with some special rates for your Emirates flights tied in for you, however if this is too much of a stretch do let me know, and we can always find ways to bring this down. I opted for a sweet 4* so we could have a wow in Kruger but there are also some other options that may also work in the National Park if this is too much.
I am super excited to hear your thoughts.  I look forward to chatting in more detail when we speak on Friday.
Best travels,
Maria Gardner

A coming-together of cultures, cuisines and landscapes, there’s nowhere quite like Cape Town, a singularly beautiful city crowned by the magnificent Table Mountain National Park.
Indulge in a gourmet meal at one of Cape Town’s Michelin-starred restaurants, or sip on a glass of South Africa’s finest wine as you watch the sunset over the ocean. Take a stroll through the city’s vibrant neighborhoods, where you’ll discover a rich tapestry of cultures and traditions.
For the adventurous, Cape Town offers a wealth of outdoor activities, from hiking and surfing to shark cage diving and whale watching. And when you’re ready to unwind, retreat to your private spa for a rejuvenating massage or soak in your infinity pool as you take in the stunning views.

In Cape Town, where new restaurants open faster than you can knock back a tequila, it’s easy to get caught up in the “hot-right-now” hype. But there’s a lot more depth to the city’s food scene. I have added some fabulous recommendations below to feast your eyes on.
Nobu at One & Only £££
Embark on an unforgettable journey of gourmet excellence, fresh creations and masterful Japanese-Peruvian cuisine with Nobu Cape Town. Savour the trendy atmosphere and discover a modern medley of Japanese classics fused with Peruvian flavours, the brainchild of Michelin-starred chef Nobu. A restaurant to wow you off your chair, your meal here will not disappoint.
La Colombe ££
High up on the slopes of the Constantiaberg mountains, Silvermist Wine Estate is home to La Colombe – No. 56 on The World’s Best Restaurants List 2022. Headed by virtuoso chef-proprietor Scot Kirton and executive chef James Gaag, La Colombe has circled the upper echelons of the awards lists for over two decades and seeded many a top chef’s career, but the Scot-James duo has further raised the bar. The stylish restaurant’s pared-down interior is the perfect canvas for James and his team to conjure creative French-Asian dishes using foraged ingredients that they magically finesse into immaculately plated dishes.
Pier The Waterside ££
The La Colombe family of restaurants has garnered a well-deserved reputation for top-notch dining. The most recent addition to its seven-strong stable is a harbourside eatery at the V&A Waterfront – a light, bright, stylish space with a deck that feels like you’re on a superyacht. It offers sophisticated and creative fine dining, in the La Colombe style, but it’s more casual than its sibling, Pier, upstairs. The five-course Chef’s Menu reveals beautifully plated cuisine, from the unique milk bun bread stack to start, through seafood, beef, pork belly and vegetarian options, to a “treasure chest” of bonbons for a sweet finish.
Salsify ££
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from the hillside above Camps Bay is one of Cape Town’s finest, owned by chef Ryan Cole (who served as Luke Dale Roberts’ head chef at the acclaimed Test Kitchen). With sweeping views of the ocean and majestic Lion’s Head as a backdrop, Salsify serves modern cooking, inspired by nature and driven by the seasons. Enhancing the overall experience is excellent service, two top-tier wine-pairing options, edgy-chic interiors (avant-garde graffiti, art installations and a show-stopping bronze statue) that complement Ryan’s seasonally driven, locally conscious fine-dining menu.
Chorus £££
A heavenly Winelands setting, 300 metres up on the slopes of the Schapenberg in Somerset West, overlooking False Bay and surrounded by an amphitheatre of mountains. The name of Bertus Basson’s brand-new venture certainly evokes the angelic and rapturous… Waterkloof Estate’s famous glass-box dining space, an architectural marvel hovering over the vineyards above the hilltop cellar, offers four- and six-course menus inspired by fine local ingredients and cuisine (including Basson’s famous soufflés) – what he refers to as “simple, focused, seasonal cooking”, and what should really be called a masterful symphony of flavour.
FYN £££
Fyn’s dream-team partnership between Peter Tempelhoff (an alum of The Greenhouse) and executive chef Ashley Moss means you’re in confident hands. The menu is African-inspired, but it’s Tempelhoff’s obsession with Japan that will have you enthralled. His confident exploration of tastes, flavours, textures, and cooking styles comes in five-course, kaiseki-style menus. Each course is a taste explosion that leaves you wanting more—just don’t forego the cheese sandwich before the sweet kaiseki.

This morning after breakfast, you will be greeted by one of our friendly driver guides who will invite you for a lovely half-day experience exploring Cape Town!
Your drive to the city center takes you past famous landmarks such as the Castle of Good Hope built in 1666 by the Dutch East India Company and City Hall, a baroque building and the Grand Parade. As we follow the citys main thoroughfare, Adderley Street, we will see St. Georges Cathedral, the Anglican Diocese of Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
You will pass the Company Gardens and the Malay Quarter, also known as the Bo-Kaap which means, Above Cape, because of its location up against the slopes of Table Mountain. In the early 18th century, thousands of slaves from Java, Ceylon and other Far Eastern regions were brought to Cape Town.
After slavery was abolished, their descendants, known as the Cape Malays, settled here. Continue to join a sparkling tour, witness the art of diamond cutting and the careful craftsmanship of jewellery manufacturing by skilled experts. Discover the history of the Diamond and Gold Trade in South Africa. You will be offered the option of continuing to Table Mountain, where you can ascend to the top, weather permitting by the revolving cable car.
Here, you will see wildflowers and the famous silver tree, and marvel at a birds-eye view of the city and its beaches. On a clear day it is even possible to see Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned on one side and Cape Point on the other.
After a lovely 3hr tour, you will be taken back to your hotel for the rest of the day at leisure.

Today after a wonderful breakfast, it will be time to immerse yourselves in the landmarks and must-sees of this amazing city and surrounding area.
Your guide will collect you from the hotel lobby and invite you into your small group transfer to set off on a fun but comfortable adventure.
At Hout Bay, enjoy a boat cruise over to Seal Island where you can say hi to all the lounging seals on the island here. You will then continue on Chapman’s Peak Drive, noted as one of the most stunning roadways in the world.
Visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve and the tip of the Cape Peninsula which has captivated travellers for centuries. The return journey to Cape Town takes guests along the False Bay coast where you will have the opportunity to visit the colony of rare African Penguins at Boulders Beach. Lucky for you, I have also included a wonderful kayak experience at Boulders Beach, so you can get more personal with the swimming penguins. After a fabulous time out at sea, say goodbye to the penguins and pass through the naval village of Simon’s Town, Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg.
This day will leave you feeling refreshed and inspired. Your driver will drop you back at your hotel for an evening of leisure.

Kruger is one of the world’s greatest wildlife-watching destinations. All of Africa’s iconic safari species – elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, hippo and zebra – share the bushveld with a supporting cast of 137 other mammals and over 500 varieties of bird.
Kruger National Park is South Africa’s largest game reserve and one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries on the planet. The park has nearly two million hectares of unfenced African wilderness, in which more mammal species roam free than in any other game reserve.

Text Welcome to Mauritius
Mark Twain once wrote that ‘Mauritius was made first and then heaven, heaven being copied after Mauritius’. For the most part, it’s true: Mauritius is rightly famed for its sapphire waters, powder-white beaches and luxury resorts. But there’s so much more attraction to Mauritius than the beach, and it’s the kind of place that rewards even the smallest attempts at exploration. There’s hiking in the forested and mountainous interior and world-class diving and snorkelling offshore. There are boat trips to near-perfect islets and excursions to botanical gardens and colonial plantation houses.
Mauritius is a fabulous culinary destination with great wildlife watching thrown in. And the real Mauritius away from the beach resorts – a hot curry of different cultures and quiet fishing villages – is never far away.

Mauritius offers a stunning amount of culture, community and incredible hotspots. As there is so much to see, I wanted to curate a list of must-visits if you decide to stay in Le Morne and venture out.
THE NORTH
Trou aux Biches – Trou aux Biches is a charming vacation town in the northern region of Mauritius that boasts a powdery white sand shoreline with dancing palm trees and turquoise blue waters, making it a postcard-perfect. The beach is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, diving, water skiing, picnicking, and other water activities.

Pamplemousse Botanical Garden And The Sugar Museum – The Pamplemousse Botanical Garden is located near Port Louis. It offers visitors the opportunity to see a variety of tropical plants from around the world and water lilies, palm trees, fruit trees, and so on. It is also an excellent area for picnicking, and depending on the guest, the perfect amount of time to spend here is 2 to 3 hours.
Port Louis – Port Louis, Mauritius’ capital city, provides an insight into the country’s culture and way of life. You can take a short walk through the city’s Bazaar or the Queen Street Central Market, as well as the Place d’Armes, the Government Palace, and the Company Garden. Furthermore, the Caudan Waterfront is a great area to go shopping, and the Blue Penny Museum introduces visitors to the archipelago’s culture and history. For nighttime activities, there are numerous open-air restaurants and diners along the shoreline where visitors can enjoy the fresh air and the sounds of the sea.
7 Cascades Hike – The most recommendable hike in the North region and arguably in all of Mauritius is the 7 Cascades Hike close to Curepipe. It is divided into a half-day trek that takes hikers to four waterfalls and a full-day hike to seven waterfalls. I recommend if you are to do this hiring a guide when you arrive at the starting point.
THE WEST
Flic en Flac – Flic en Flac is a city in Mauritius’ western area known for its vibrant streets and attractions. It also has some of the most luxurious hotels in the country, and its seashore offers a stunning view of Morne Mountain. The city’s coastline is equally enticing, particularly for its marine fauna for snorkelling activities and the bustling disco night along the bay. Furthermore, Roti Aka is a must-have food to enjoy on the island, especially during lunchtime with fresh fruits.
The Land Of Seven Colors – Only a few minutes from Le Morne is the town of Chamarel which features a majestic waterfall and an impressive mountain of sand with stunning colours, also known as the “Land of Seven Colors.” The park is a prominent attraction as well as the Black River Gorges National Park, which is also popular for its hiking trails and lush rainforest.
THE EAST
Deer Island – Deer Island is located on Mauritius’ eastern coast, near Bellemare, and is home to the country’s most significant lagoons, ideal for various water sports activities. Tourists must take a boat to the island from Trou d’Eau Douce beach. The island is a small and lovely island teeming with tourists who come to see the breathtaking beauty and participate in various activities, including the boat journey to the rich island. In addition, there are several souvenir shops and restaurants on the island for travelers.
THE SOUTH
Mahebourg – Take a trip to the city of Mahebourg, close to the airport. The town country’s old capital, travellers may roam around and admire the lovely lanes and beachfront vistas. The nearest attraction is Blue Bay, ideal for relaxing or taking a glass-bottom boat ride. Furthermore, the Ile aux Aigrettes is an excellent location for bird viewing for nature lovers.

You can find up-to-date details on our website under the country which you are travelling to. They are provided as a guide only and laws can change frequently. You should seek advice from the relevant authorities and embassies before travel (if applicable).
