About your itinerary

? Don't forget that if something isn't quite right we can make changes to the itinerary.
Hi Danielle & Megan,
It was so lovely to meet you both yesterday and hear all about your amazing anniversary plans to travel to Iceland and Ireland. Knowing that Danielle has visited these beautiful countries before, I wanted to ensure we really had some incredible experiences throughout to make this time extra special.
I know how much you wanted some unique experiences as well as that perfect balance to have that quality time together so I have sprinkled some tours and recommendations throughout which I know you will love, from walking tours to boat trips and a super special stay at the Buubble Hotel including an incredible tour that will highlight the pure beauty of Iceland.
I know we spoke about your accommodations and I am pleased to say I have included some incredible boutique properties with great locations to ensure you are perfectly situated to enjoy each place you are visiting.
As promised, your international flights are included as well as dreamy accommodations, tours, and transfers as well as your all-important car hire. I'll also be on hand to ensure the itinerary runs seamlessly for you from start to finish.
I appreciate we are coming in above the $16k we spoke about on our call, if you can stretch I can promise it will be 100% worth it. Saying this, we can certainly look at ways to bring it down if needed.
I have had to be a little creative with your dates to include a stay at the Buubble Hotel as there is very limited availability so if you do love what you're seeing let me know and I can pop this on hold for you.
I'm so excited to hear your thoughts on Friday! Anything you need in the meantime, please feel free to reach out.
Enjoy and speak soon.

Welcome to Iceland!
Hitting headlines, topping bucket lists, wooing nature lovers and dazzling increasing numbers of visitors – there seems no end to the talents of this breathtaking northern destination.
An underpopulated island marooned near the top of the globe, Iceland is, literally, a country in the making. It's a vast volcanic laboratory where mighty forces shape the earth: geysers gush, mudpots gloop, ice-covered volcanoes rumble and glaciers cut great pathways through the mountains. Its supercharged splendour seems designed to remind visitors of their utter insignificance in the greater scheme of things. And it works a treat: some crisp clean air, an eyeful of the cinematic landscapes, and everyone is transfixed.
It's the power of Icelandic nature to turn the prosaic into the extraordinary. A dip in a pool becomes a soak in a geothermal lagoon; a casual stroll can transform into a trek across a glittering glacier; and a quiet night of camping may mean front-row seats to the aurora borealis’ curtains of light, or the soft, pinkish hue of the midnight sun. Iceland has a transformative effect on people too – its sagas turned brutes into poets, and its stories of huldufólk (hidden people) may make believers out of sceptics. Here you'll find some of the world's highest concentrations of dreamers, authors, artists and musicians, all fuelled by their surrounds.

Excursion Reykjavik | LGBT Friendly Tour & Old Town's Secrets
Let's start together with your LGBT Friendly Tour Guide this incredible tour of Iceland's Capital City, from the Old Town and Parliament. Be ready to learn about the LGBT culture and the struggle for human rights for Icelandic queers dating back to the 19th century.
Nightlife, politics, literature and music – all connected with the existence of LGBT people in Reykjavik. Also, a close look on a few renowned gay individuals in the history of Iceland. The Gay culture in Reykjavik has, until very recently, been hidden to the public eye. The Gay Historical Walks aim to shed some light on that very interesting part of Reykjavik life.
There are numerous interesting places and stories to be told in the city center. Continue to Hotel Borg, to Iceland's first (and oldest) street, to Reykjavík's oldest house (which used to house a gay bar), and loads of other cool sites. Admire Harpa, the beautiful and brand-new Reykjavik Music and Conference Center. Reach the spectacular Solfar (Sun Voyager) Sculpture and Hallgrimskirkja, where you will visit the Tower and enjoy a beautiful view above Reykjavik.
Included:
* Gay or Lesbian Tour Guide for City Tour (3 hours)
* Entrance Fee – Hallgrimskirkja Tower

Text Self-Guided Golden Circle Adventure
After collecting your car hire for the day, have a coffee in hand as you are about to go on a seriously fun adventure!
Leave Reykjavik and follow the Suðurgata to Hringbraut/Route 49 towards the Golden Circle, steeped in history, and folklore and surrounded by amazing geology where it stands between the North American & Eurasian tectonic plates. Drive through Thingvellir, knowing you will be back later for one of the most popular bucket-list experiences here, snorkelling through tectonic plates!
GEYSIR GEOTHERMAL AREA
Travel from Thingvellir across the rugged landscape over to your first stop, the amazing Geysir Geothermal Area. Witness the heated waters of the most active Geysir 'Strokkur' erupting water from the depths every 10 minutes or so, reaching heights of 20-40 metres in the air. It is a truly remarkable sight to behold and a very rewarding and memorable experience that will stick with you for a lifetime. This stop will give you the chance to catch some gorgeous souvenirs and grab a snack before hitting the road for a short time once more to the famous Gullfoss Waterfall.
GULFOSS WATERFALL
This powerful waterfall is located in a plunging, ancient valley and tumbles down two drops, from an overall height of 32 meters (105 ft).
The minute you step out of your car, you can hear the breathtaking power of the water from this awe-inspiring waterfall and there is no doubt you will want to get the cameras out and share this mesmerizing hotspot with the world! Summer is the best time to visit this iconic waterfall, as this is when the water is at its heaviest and loudest!
KERID CRATER
After all this natural eye-catching scenery, you are sure to be feeling peckish at this point, so it will be time to catch some lunch before or after the next voyage on your adventure to the popular Icelandic crater lake, Kerid Crater. Known as the eye of the world, Kerid Crater is inside of a volcanic caldera and surrounded by rare red volcanic rock. It is easy to become spellbound by its big blue eye with all the beauty circling this fascinating lake.
LUNCH IN SELFOSS
Make a pit stop in Selfoss, just a 15min drive from the Crater and grab some lunch – whether you are looking for a sit-down or a quick takeaway, there are plenty of options here!
My favourites are:
  • Kaffi Krús – A well-established restaurant and cafe in the heart of Selfoss. They have a varied menu and a good selection of cakes and coffee.
  • MENAM Food Hall – Menam (the Dairy Farm) in Selfoss is a real food culture house. Eight restaurants, two bars and a cheese show in a 1,500 square meter space with seating for over 300 people.
**I would recommend calling in advance to reserve tables where applicable. Let me know if this is something you would like me to organise upon booking.
SILFRA SNORKELLING (2PM OR 11AM START) & LAUGARVATN FONTANA
After lunch, and some time to digest your yummy food, cross through the circle from Selfoss on a stunning 45min journey for an incredible Snorkelling Tour (included in your itinerary price!)
Silfra, the famous fissure between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates, provides an underwater experience unlike anywhere else on earth. Floating in the crystal clear glacial water will give you the sensation of flying as you pass through an expansive canyon created by the slow separation of the tectonic plates.
This is the Cold part of this experience but don't worry, Silfra is always a comfortable 2-3°C. You will also be provided with a dry suit and an undergarment to keep you dry and warm, only your face and hands will experience the cold. After your 30-40 minute snorkelling session in Silfra, you can explore the Thingvellir area as you wish before moving on to Laugarvatn Fontana to warm up.
LAUGARVATN FONTANA
Your experience at Laugarvatn is also included in your itinerary and one you will be excited to enjoy after snorkelling! You have another drive lasting approx 30 mins to the Laugarvatn Fontana, a village that has been a place to bathe since Viking times as a geothermal hot spring is situated right by Lake Laugarvatn warming up the water.
Laugarvatn Fontana took the idea one step further and built their steam rooms on top of the bubbling hot spring making the experience truly Icelandic. Relax in the natural pools and hot tubs in between dips in the cold lake.
After an incredible day, you are sure to feel rather tired! Head back to Reykjavik for a much-needed restful night before another amazing day tomorrow!

As you arrive at The Bubble Iceland location, park your car and meet your guide as well as the rest of your group for this wonderful excursion! Enjoy fabulous lux SUV transport, the same SUVs that are used for US presidents over the decades, meaning ounces of comfort!
SELJALANDFOSS WATERFALL
The first stop on the tour is at Seljalandsfoss waterfall. If you’re feeling adventurous be sure to walk the steep staircase to view the gorgeous waterfall from behind. This is also a great photo opportunity! At 65 meters high, this waterfall has breathtaking views of roaring glacier waters and the birds that call this place home. And do be sure to bring along your raincoat if you plan to venture behind this waterfall! The mist coming from the falling water is sure to wet your clothes through, but this is also a great way to create a rainbow effect so keep an eye out.
SKOGAFOSS WATERFALL
The next stop along this tour is Skogafoss, only a mere 30 kilometres from Seljalandsfoss right off the main Ring Road. At a whopping 60 meters high and 25 meters wide, you can feel the power. You will have the choice to walk up close and personal or take the 60-meter staircase to the top and view the falls from above. Either way, you are sure to get some amazing views. If you choose the up-close option, be sure to protect yourself and your camera from the massive mist cloud that forms at the bottom of the waterfall. Also here, you will see the many bird species flying around and nesting on the cliffs, but also you may see a stray sheep or two that can wander over from the nearby farm.
REYNISFJARA BLACK SAND BEACH
Moving away from the waterfalls, the tour will make it’s way further down the coast to Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach located in the small coastal town, Vik. Known for it’s black-colored sand and ginormous basalt stacks, you are sure to get an amazing photo here. Though you may not first think of Iceland when you think of going to the beach, in 1991, National Geographic voted Reynisfjara as one of the Top 10 non-tropical beaches to visit on Earth. It is not hard to notice the rocky basalt sea stacks, named Reynisdrangar. Just around the corner from here you can view more ragged edged cave like areas where the high tide water used to rush in. Please be aware of the strong current and the waves most referred to as “sneaker waves” which is a nod to their ability to rush in out of nowhere knocking people to the ground.
After an amazing day tour, you will be invited back to the Bubble where you will enjoy an incredible night under the stars.

Tour Duration: 8am – 6:30pm
This morning, you are in for an early rise once more as you prepare for another full day's adventure! Climb aboard your stunning lux car and meet your driver at the Buubble Hotel, for an insane day you are sure never to forget!
Your driver will take you along the beautiful road through the rugged scenery into even colder areas, ready for a memorable Glacier Hike! Sólheimajökull is a raw and rugged outlet glacier in an ever-changing environment. Surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges, the glacier slowly but steadily crawls backwards, giving your experienced glacier guide a new challenge every day! His aim is to get you away from the crowd, finding nooks and crannies to explore on your own; walking between deep crevasses, amazing ice formations, jagged ridges and spine-tingling sinkholes! We start your trip with a nice short walk up to Sólheimajökull. It’s a magnificent feeling viewing the glacier from afar and imagining your selves being up there in just a short while!
The guide then gives a short but very important demonstration of how to properly use the glacier equipment. When you're ready you will head up the icy but easily accessible slopes onto your adventure, taking in the amazing surroundings on our way.
After a fantastic hike, you will have got peckish for some lunch, and lunch is included in the tour! Have your fill in a place that your guide recommends and take a break in the warm before heading to the world-famous ice cave in the afternoon!
Mother Nature has really outdone herself with this one, the movie-like surroundings and glaciers are everywhere you look. Grandiose ice walls tower over you as you walk among them to enter the magical blue and black ice dome of the outlet glacier named after the powerful volcano Katla. Prepare to have your breath taken away!
Mýrdalsjökull glacier is one of the best-known in Iceland- from which the alluring Kötlujökull glacier originates. Kötlujökull is named after the robust Icelandic Volcano Katla, which is covered by the glacier. As the enormous mass of ice has been slowly crawling down from the volcano mountain, it creates in some of Iceland’s most impressive natural ice caves.
Come to a stop near the roots of Kötlujökull glacier and the view that greets us is otherworldly. We will take on our crampons and helmets, and take a short walk to the opening of the ice cave. You might need to climb a few steps on ladders to the entrance of the cave. As the natural ice cave is constantly changing, conditions can be different at each tour. The climb is, however, not difficult at all and anyone in an average physical condition should be able to climb these steps. It might look adventurous but it is not demanding at all!
Beautiful layers of different colored ice and volcanic ash unfold from the ice as we come closer to the cave, painting impressive stripes in the glacier. Your guide will tell you all about the history of the glacier, the ice cave and the area around it making the tour educating and exciting all at once.
After a truly amazing afternoon, it will be time to head back to Selfoss to collect your car from the Buubble Hotel – your guide/driver will take you back in your comfortable lux Jeep, where you will bid farewell and drive to your accommodation afterwards.
**This experience will be an additional $1257pp

A small island with a memorable punch, Ireland's breathtaking landscapes and friendly, welcoming people leave visitors floored but looking for more.
Everything you’ve heard is true: Ireland is a stunner. The locals need little prodding to proclaim theirs is the most beautiful land in the world, and can support their claim with many examples. Everyone will argue over the must-sees, but you can't go wrong if you put the brooding loneliness of Connemara, the dramatic wildness of Donegal, the majestic mountains of Mourne, the world-famous scenery of counties Kerry and Cork, and the celebrated Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland on your to-visit list!

Rock of Cashel
Dating back to the 4th century, this incredible medieval slice of history served as the seat of the Kings of Munster. It’s said that St. Patrick converted them to Christianity here in the 5th century. In 1101, the rock was donated to the church and transformed into an ecclesiastical center.
Entry is granted through the 15th century castle and the Hall of the Vicars, which houses a museum exhibiting the original Cross of St. Patrick. At the top of the grassy hill, you’ll find the partly ruined 13th century Gothic cathedral and 12th century round tower. The highlight of the complex, however, is the 12th-century Cormac's Chapel, widely considered as one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in the country.
While entry is only via guided tour, it’s well worth it to see the beautifully carved doorways and some of the oldest wall paintings in Ireland.
Please note: as one of the most popular destinations in Ireland, the castle can get quite crowded. If you are interested in a guided tour, I can certainly get this organised for you 🙂
Blarney Stone
The legendary Blarney Stone is embedded within a machicolation atop the high walls of Blarney Castle. The exact origins of the stone are unknown. According to some, it was brought to Ireland by the prophet Jeremiah, and was used to decide on the Irish Kings. Others say it’s part of the Stone of Destiny, given to Cormac McCarthy by Robert the Bruce. Another legend says it’s the biblical ‘Stone of Ezel’, brought back to Ireland from the Crusades. Regardless of its origins, the one legend everyone agrees on is if you hang over the precipice to kiss the stone, you will be bestowed with the gift of elegance and flattery. While now there are handlebars to add an extra layer of safety to the ritual (such a shame!!) for centuries one had to be held by the ankles over the drop. This dangerous performance even inspired a Sherlock Holmes case.
Following a memorable day with plenty of photos to share around, continue the last 20 m journey into Cork, where you will check in for the night in a fabulous city centre hotel.

Excursion Bay of a Hundred Islands Boat Trip
Today you are in for a treat, drive down to the West Coast of Cork for a fantastic private boat trip! The drive takes roughly 1hr30 in light traffic. Take a leisurely morning or evening private scenic boat trip through the spectacular hundred isles of Carbery off the west coast of Cork.
Feel the invigorating fresh sea air against your face on this soul-stirring cruise from the charming departure points of Baltimore or Schull village through the island-studded waters of the Atlantic Ocean that are collectively known as Carbery’s Hundred Isles. All of these islands enjoy a mild climate due to the Gulf Stream influence, but many of them are exposed to the elements with diverse landscapes to view, from patches of lush vegetation to treeless expanses of rugged hill and bog, wild flowers and gorse, fringed with rocky cliffs, mixed shingle and sand beaches.
Enjoy the spectacular coastline scenery of the Wild Atlantic Way and see if you can spot some whales!

If you are visiting Killarney, Kerry or Ireland for the first time and seeking to experience a warm and authentic Irish family-owned and run hotel then The Lake Hotel Killarney is the perfect hotel for your stay. The hotel offers a traditional and warm Irish welcome in a truly magnificent setting. Please note check-in time is from 4 pm each day.
In the 1940’s Ms Hilda Huggard became the proprietor of The Lake Hotel and passed it to her four nephews in the late 1990’s, thus ensuring that her legacy of true Irish hospitality was carried on.

The Woodland Rooms are quiet, comfortable rooms located in the original building of the hotel and thus have retained the hotel's old-world charm and appeal.

As indicated in their title, the rooms overlook the front and entrance of the hotel where the wild deer can be seen roaming frequently, particularly in the early morning or evening time.

Text Recommendation: Drive the Ring of Kerry
After a hearty breakfast, I recommend driving around the Ring of Kerry. The raw beauty of this scenic, 179-kilometre-long route is sure to lift the spirits of the most jaded traveler, and the many attractions of the Ring of Kerry will entice you to savour every moment.
The Ring of Kerry skirts the coastline of the spectacular Iveragh Peninsula. Be prepared for panoramic Atlantic Ocean views, stunning islands, wild sweeping mountains, and many picturesque villages en-route. While the entire journey can be completed in around three hours non-stop, that really doesn't do it justice.
With plenty of stops, and an optional 2.5 Boat Tour to Skellig Island, home of the filming of Luke Skywalker from Star Wars (just in case either of you are Star Wars fans!) and a potential chance to see a dolphin or whale, this adventure is a remarkable immersive experience where you get to see Ireland in all its wild glory.
There will be a chance to take a spot of lunch in one of the many towns surrounding the area, with your guide recommending a lovely local restaurant to stop at.

Once more there are plenty of lovely stops to make along the way! I have added a couple of my favs below!
Limerick
With historic charms it just can’t hide; best known as a poem most raunchy; but with castles, churches, and coffee; this city must be tried.
Cliffs of Moher
One of the top attractions in Ireland, this UNESCO Global Geopark appeared as the Cliffs of Insanity in The Princess Bride. I can organise a self-guided drive of this if you fancy a longer day out!

The self-drive from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher is a scenic and enjoyable journey through the beautiful Irish countryside. The drive takes approximately one hour and covers a distance of about 50 kilometers.
Starting from Galway, you will head south on the N67 road, which will take you through charming villages and rolling green hills. Along the way, you will pass through the town of Kilcolgan, known for its traditional thatched cottages and quaint atmosphere.
Continuing on the N67, you will drive through the picturesque Burren region, a unique landscape of limestone karst formations. This area is home to a diverse range of plants and wildlife, and you may even spot some rare flowers or birds as you drive through.
As you approach the Cliffs of Moher, you will start to see the dramatic cliffs rising up from the Atlantic Ocean. The cliffs are one of Ireland's most famous natural landmarks, towering over 200 meters above the sea and stretching for about 8 kilometers along the coast.
Upon arrival at the Cliffs of Moher, you can park your car and explore the visitor center, which offers information about the cliffs' geology, history, and wildlife. From there, you can take a walk along the cliff edge, enjoying breathtaking views of the ocean and the Aran Islands in the distance.
