Welcome to Thailand.
I am delighted to present you with your dreamy itinerary for your Thailand getaway!
Not only have I selected the most stunning hotels, that are the epitome of luxury and design, but I have included some fantastic tours to satisfy your love of architecture and allow you to fully immerse yourself in Thai culture.
In Bangkok you'll be perfectly nestled amongst its bustling history in a breathtakingly artistic and award-winning hotel. In Chiang Mai you'll enjoy your own private pool in your suite providing the ultimate haven, and finally in Phuket I've ensured you are located a short 25 minute taxi ride from the best nightlife the island has to offer.
I've provided you with temples, palaces and history in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, as well as an incredible trip to spend some time with the gentle giants. Phuket is where you'll get all the beautiful beach time and snorkelling that your heart desires. I truly feel that this itinerary has captured everything we spoke about on the phone and I'm so excited for you to go and experience it all!

Text Welcome to Thailand!
Friendly and food-obsessed, hedonistic and historic, cultured and curious, Thailand tempts visitors with a smile as golden as the country's glittering temples and tropical beaches.
A Bountiful Table
Adored around the world, Thai cuisine expresses fundamental aspects of Thai culture: it is generous, warm, refreshing and relaxed. Thai dishes rely on fresh, local ingredients – pungent lemongrass, searing chillies and plump seafood. A varied national menu is built around the four fundamental flavours: spicy, sweet, salty and sour. Roving appetites go on eating tours of Bangkok noodle shacks, seafood pavilions in Phuket, and Burmese market stalls in Mae Sot. Cooking classes reveal the simplicity behind the seemingly complicated dishes, and mastering the market is an important survival skill.
Fields & Forests
Outside the cluttered cities and towns lies Thailand's rural heartland, a mix of rice paddies, tropical forests and villages where life is dominated by the rhythms of the agricultural clock. In the north, the forests and fields bump up against toothy blue mountains decorated with silvery waterfalls and honeycombed by deep caves. Down south, scraggy limestone cliffs poke out of the cultivated landscape like prehistoric skyscrapers, or emerge dramatically out of the turquoise sea. The usually arid northeast turns an emerald hue during the rainy season when tender green rice shoots carpet the landscape.
Sacred Spaces
The celestial world is a close confidant in this Buddhist nation, and religious devotion is colourful and ubiquitous. Gleaming temples and golden Buddhas frame both the rural and the urban landscape. Ancient banyan trees are ceremoniously wrapped in sacred cloth to honour the resident spirits, fortune-bringing shrines decorate humble homes as well as monumental malls, while garland-festooned dashboards ward off traffic accidents. Visitors can join the conversation through meditation retreats in Chiang Mai, religious festivals in northeastern Thailand, underground cave shrines in Kanchanaburi and Phetchaburi, and hilltop temples in northern Thailand.
Sand Between Your Toes
With a luxuriously long coastline (actually, two coastlines) and over 1400 jungle-topped islands anchored in azure waters, Thailand is a tropical getaway fit for everyone, whether hedonist or hermit, prince or pauper. The country's coast is one giant playground, with plenty going on wherever the sand meets the sea. You can snorkel the gentle waters off Ko Lipe, dive with whale sharks around Ko Tao, scale the sea cliffs of Krabi, kiteboard in Hua Hin, party on Ko Phi-Phi and recuperate at a health resort on Ko Samui.

Text Welcome to Chiang Mai
The former seat of the Lanna kingdom is a blissfully calm and laid-back place to relax and recharge your batteries. Participate in a vast array of activities, or just stroll around the backstreets, and discover a city that is still firmly Thai in its atmosphere and attitude.
A sprawling, modern city has grown up around ancient Chiang Mai (เชียงใหม่), ringed by a tangle of superhighways. Despite this, the historic center of Chiang Mai still feels overwhelmingly residential, more like a sleepy country town than a bustling capital. If you drive in a straight line in any direction, you'll soon find yourself in the lush green countryside and pristine rainforests dotted with churning waterfalls, serene wát and peaceful country villages – as well as a host of markets and elephant sanctuaries.

Accommodation 137 Pillars House for 3 nights

Handy for market-shopping and temple-hopping, Chiang Mai boutique hotel 137 Pillars House is a nostalgic blend of historic Thai architecture and sleek modern design, with delicious dining, a super-pretty spa and dramatic pool. In the arty Wat Gate district, it offers a serene home-away-from-home amid day-bed-dotted gardens. No surprise, given this elegant 1889 property was once owned by Louis Leonowens, son of Anna (of Anna and the King movie fame).

In a quiet corner, the slimline 25-metre lap pool is dominated by a jaw-dropping vertical plant wall, with tempting sun-beds dotting the decking. Secluded relaxation salas shrouded with elegant silk curtains will lure lounge lovers, and free homemade sorbet, mineral water and cold towels are available poolside.

The hotel’s sophisticated spa has a modern treatment menu that’s rooted in traditional Thai wellness techniques. Drop in for a limbering massage or cutting-edge skincare treatment, or have the therapists draw up a comprehensive treatment plan that’s tailored entirely to you. There's also an air-conditioned gym that's open round the clock, and a studio for yoga and Thai Chi classes, which can be arranged on request.

Excursion HALF DAY CITY & TEMPLES TOUR WITH WAT PHRA THAT DOI SUTHEP
The city of Chiang Mai has an abundance of beautiful and historic Buddhist temples and this tour takes in the most interesting. One of the highlights is a visit to the 600 year-old temple of Wat Pra That Doi Suthep, near the summit of Doi Suthep mountain. After a drive up the mountain’s winding road, the final climb to the site is via a magnificent Naga (dragon-headed serpent) staircase of 306 steps. Inside is an intriguing copper-plated chedi topped by a five-tier gold umbrella which contains partial relics of Lord Buddha. On a clear day, there are incomparable views over the city of Chiang Mai.
Other temple visits on this tour include: Wat Suan Dok, whose large central stupa contains the ashes of Chiang Mai’s royal family; Wat Chedi Luang, where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrined; and Wat Phra Singh, housing a very sacred 1,500 year old Buddha image.
Your guide will pick you up form your hotel and return you at the end of the tour.
