It was lovely chatting with you on the phone yesterday about your anniversary trip to Spain, am glad that the samples helped you to picture your dreamy trip. I am therefore delighted to be sending your bespoke itinerary to the gorgeous country of Spain, giving you both the opportunity to explore and discover the beautiful city of Barcelona and finishing with some all-inclusive beach time in Fuerteventura!
Included in your itinerary is everything you need for a magical time, including upgraded business-class international flights, perfectly located accommodation with that ocean-front room at the Secrets in Fuerteventura along with your all-inclusive board, transfer to and for the airports as well as a couple of incredible tours.
And onto your tours! You said that you love architecture, urban design, and music and dance. I have added the fabulous tours we spoke about, one in Barcelona with one of our incredible guides where you'll enjoy the highlights of the city, I find this always helps to get your bearings. I have also included some of my top recommendations for Barcelona that I think you will enjoy. As it is your anniversary, I have also included complimentary tickets to see a Flamenco show in the heart of Barcelona.
While in Futurventura, I have mostly left this section of the itinerary free for you to relax and enjoy some quality time together in a beautiful setting. I have included a 5-hour whale & dolphin watching experience for you to enjoy as I know this was something you were hoping to do while at the beach. You'll be picked up and dropped off at your hotel so no need to worry about anything there.
Your flights are all included and you will leave from Philipedlia and fly to Barcelona via Madrid, getting the longest flight done first. On the way home you'll have two short layovers in Madrid and Boston, this was the best option I could find for you for your return. I have also included your domestic flight from Barcelona to Fuerteventura so you really won't have to worry about a thing!

Barcelona is an enchanting seaside city with boundless culture, fabled architecture and a world-class drinking and dining scene.
Architecture of the Ages
Barcelona's architectural treasures span 2000-plus years. Towering temple columns, ancient city walls and subterranean stone corridors provide a window into Roman-era Barcino. Fast forward a thousand years or so to the Middle Ages by taking a stroll through the shadowy lanes of the Gothic quarter, past tranquil plazas and soaring 14th-century cathedrals. In other parts of town bloom the sculptural masterpieces of Modernisme, a mix of ingenious and whimsical creations by Gaudà and his Catalan architectural contemporaries. Barcelona has also long inspired artists, including Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró, both of whom have major Barcelona museums devoted to their works.
A Moveable Feast
The masters of molecular gastronomy – Albert Adrià , Carles Abellan et al – are part of the long and celebrated tradition of Catalan cooking. Simple, flavourful ingredients – seafood, jamón (cured ham), market-fresh produce – are transformed into remarkable delicacies and then served in captivating settings. Feast on hearty, rich paella at an outdoor table overlooking the sea or step back to the 1920s at an elegant art nouveau dining room. Barcelona's wide-ranging palate adds further complexity: Basque-style tapas bars, Galician seafood taverns, avant-garde Japanese restaurants and sinful chocolate shops are all essential parts of the culinary landscape.
Under the Iberian Sun
The deep blue Mediterranean beckons. Sun-drenched beaches make a fine backdrop to a jog, bike ride or long leisurely stroll along the seaside – followed by a refreshing dip. You can also enjoy the view from out on the water while kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding or taking it easy on a sunset cruise. Looming behind the city, the rolling forest-covered Collserola hills provide a scenic setting for hiking, mountain biking or just admiring the view. Closer to the city centre, hilltop Montjuïc offers endless exploring amid botanic and sculpture gardens, an old castle and first-rate museums with panoramic views at every turn.
Twenty-four-hour Party People
The night holds limitless possibilities in Barcelona. Start with sunset drinks on a panoramic terrace or dig your heels in the sand at a rustic beachside chiringuito (temporary snack bar). As darkness falls, live music transforms the city: the rapid-fire rhythms of flamenco, brassy jazz spilling out of basements, and hands-in-the-air indie-rock at vintage concert halls. Towards midnight the bars fill. Take your pick from old-school taverns adorned with 19th-century murals, plush lounges in lamp-lit medieval chambers or boisterous cava bars. If you're still standing at 3am, hit the clubs and explore Barcelona's unabashed wild side.

Situated on a scenic street and minutes away from famous attractions, Hotel Well and Come is a gorgeous boutique hotel where excellent guest service is a constant priority.
There is a rooftop outdoor pool at Hotel Well and Come that allows guests to enjoy splendid views while keeping cool. Additionally, the property has a fitness centre equipped with cardiovascular machines and various weights.
Located next to the Verdaguer underground station, this hotel is about two-and-a-half kilometres from the Barcelona Zoo and a 16-minute drive from the Picasso Museum.

It is time to hit some of the highlights in this fabulous half-day semi-private tour!
Barcelona is a city that has it all! Blue skies and sunshine, 4 kilometers of golden beaches, delicious food and stunning architecture by Antonio Gaudi. On this semi-private tour – with no more than 12 people in your group – you will explore the two major highlights of the city, both designed by Gaudi, and both now UNESCO World Heritage Listed sites: Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia.
You will first meet your expert English-speaking guide at the iconic Park Guell and take advantage of your priority skip-the-line access for a 2-hour guided tour.
Enjoy access to this vast park with over 17 hectares of gardens and monuments. Explore this colorful wonderland of sparkling mosaics, and eccentric sculptures inspired by animals and nature. Gaudi began work here in 1900 and loved it so much he also built himself a house here.
See the famous dragon staircase in the center of the park, wend your way upwards and end at the top of the hill with spectacular panoramic views overlooking the city below.
Next, we'll embark on a short drive to La Sagrada Familia, indisputably Antoni Gaudi’s most famous work, in private transportation. With skip-the-line access, you'll have more time to appreciate the spectacular interior and exterior of this modernist masterpiece. Admire the intricate details of the Nativity and Passion facades, and step inside to witness the awe-inspiring stained glass windows. Your visit will also include a glimpse of Gaudi's final resting place within his creation.
After a fantastic day exploring some of Barcelona’s best bits, it will be time to end the tour for the day where you will the evening to chill at your rooftop pool in the hotel, or carry on exploring!

The Spanish gypsy folk dance of flamenco traces its origins to Andalusia, in southern Spain, but has thrived in Barcelona, thanks in a large part to the work of Tablao Cordobes.
In 1970 the show biz entrepreneur MatÃas Colsada opened this tablao on Las Ramblas, naming it after famous bullfighter of the era, El Cordobés, and appointing the guitarist Luis Adame and his wife Irene Alba, a dancer, to manage the venue. Adame and Alba brought the stars of southern Spain to their Barcelona stage, including Camarón de la Isla, Farruco, Chocolate, Güito, Manolete, La Tati, Juan Villar, Lole, Manuelo Bambino and Manuela Carrasco.
These days it is mostly tourists, keen to sample an authentic flamenco show in Barcelona who frequent the nightly concerts, but you never know who you might bump into. Keanu Reeves is amongst the stars to have dropped by.

Once you anchor at this heavenly bay, the bathing fun begins. Go kayaking, try the trendy stand-up paddle board and discover the lively underwater world while snorkeling.
