I am incredibly excited to present you with your ultimate honeymoon trip to Brazil, allowing you to explore São Paulo, the Iguassu Falls, and vibrant Rio de Janeiro.

I have included some of my favorite properties within your itinerary which are perfectly located for you to enjoy each destination, with upgraded rooms you're sure to have everything you need for a wonderful stay not to mention breakfast to start the day right.

To make your itinerary seamless from start to finish, I've included an array of private transfers and domestic flights – all with checked baggage so once you arrive there really is nothing to worry about!

As promised I have included recommendations for flights for you as it looks like you will get a better rate booking these direct, once you have secured those flights you can just send me the details and I will ensure that the transfers are perfectly coordinated around them.

Welcome to São Paulo

São Paulo is home to 20 million fiercely proud paulistanos (as residents are known), all of whom will happily tell you at length to you how they'd never live elsewhere. Spend time with them and the reasons will soon unfold. Maybe they will introduce you to the city’s innumerable art-house cinemas and experimental theaters. If they’re gourmands, they’ll focus on the smart bistros and gourmet restaurants that make the city a world-renowned foodie haven. If they’re scenesters, follow them on a raucous tour of underground bars and the 24/7 clubbing scene. Whatever pleasures you might covet, Sampa (the city's affectionate nickname) probably has them.

Welcome to Iguazu Falls

One of the planet’s most awe-inspiring sights, the Iguazú Falls are simply astounding. A visit is a jaw-dropping, visceral experience, and the power and noise of the cascades – a chain of hundreds of waterfalls nearly 1.85 miles (3km) in extension – live forever in the memory.

An added benefit is the setting: the falls lie split between Brazil and Argentina in a large expanse of national park, much of it rainforest teeming with unique flora and fauna.

On arrival into Iguazu, once you have collected your luggage, head through to the arrivals hall. Here you'll be met by your driver and invited into your private transfer.

Tour of Iguassu Falls

This morning you will be met by one of our expert guides, ready for a full day tour of the falls.

En route to the falls, you will drive through the lush, subtropical vegetation of the park. After arrival, take a descending trail of the canyon, from where you all can enjoy panoramic views of more than 240 falls. With this different view being taken in, board a glass elevator, which takes you to a platform where more exquisite views will be revealed.

Along with its “sister” park in Argentina, The Iguassu National Park forms the most significant remaining rainforest in the southern cone of South America, which along with the waterfalls have been declared a National Heritage Site by UNESCO. For passengers staying at Hotel Das Cataratas, the tour departs from the hotel. We will end the tour with a visit to the artisans fair.

The big adventure begins at the Macuco Safari entrance gates, located at kilometre 25 on the Cataratas Highway, inside the Iguassu National Park. You will embark in open jeep-towed wagons permitting a free view of the scenery along the trail. During the three kilometres stretch through the jungle, multi-lingual guides point out and explain the flora and fauna of the Park.

Second stage of the tour is an optional hike of 600 meters, which leads us to the waterfall baptized Macuco Falls. The Macuco Falls, perfect for a refreshing dip on days of intense heat, spill down from a height of approximately 20 meters. Access is via a stairway carved into an ancient rock. The last stop is the Macuco Safari dock on the Brazilian side of the Iguassu River.

In the water, the inflatable bi-motor boats are secure and efficient vessels, specially constructed to withstand the rigours of the excursion. Before embarking, you will all receive life vests and plastic containers made to protect photographic and filming equipment. The boat travels upriver, passing the canyon, and facing the rapids, at a speed permitting the appreciation of the scenery.

Rocks, animals and a spectacular green landscape complete the scenery until we reach the great horseshoe known as the Devil's Throat. To top the tour off, the pilot will give everyone a splash by navigating through the spray of one of the falls!

I would recommend a change of clothes, due to the constant spray from the falls, and don't bring anything that cannot get wet – lockers are available at the pier before boarding.

After a truly special day on this side of the falls, you will be taken back to your hotel for another evening of relaxation or gastronomy heaven.

Golden beaches and lush mountains, samba-fueled nightlife and spectacular views: welcome to the Cidade Maravilhosa (Marvelous City).

Looking out from the 2329ft (710m) peak of Corcovado, you will see why Rio is called the Cidade Maravilhosa. Lushly forested mountains fringe the city, shimmering beaches trace the shoreline and a string of tiny islands lie scattered along the seafront. Far from being mere cinematic backdrop, this seaside beauty hosts outstanding outdoor adventures: hiking in the Tijuca rainforest, cycling alongside the lake and beaches, sailing across Baía de Guanabara (Guanabara Bay), and surfing, rock climbing and hang gliding amid one of the world's most stunning urban landscapes.

Rio's beaches have long seduced visitors. Copacabana Beach became a symbol of Rio during the 1940s, when international starlets would jet in for the weekend. Hogging the spotlight these days is Ipanema Beach, its fame and beauty unabated since bossa nova stars Tom Jobim and Vinícius de Moraes introduced the world to its allure in the 1960s. For cariocas (residents of Rio), the beach is Rio's backyard – a playground that's free and open to all, offering endless enjoyment in the form of football, volleyball, surfing, snacking, drinking or simply relaxing amid the passing parade of people.

Music is Rio's lifeblood, and the city's soundtrack comprises rock, old-school bossa nova, hip-hop, funk and Brazil's many regional styles. Above all there's samba, a rapid-fire style of music with African influences and an infectious beat that is synonymous with Rio. You can hear it all over town, but the soul of samba resides in Lapa, the red-light district that's home to dozens of live-music halls and an enormous weekend street party that draws revelers from all walks of life. Samba is also the integral sound during Carnaval, and the danceable backing music to street parties and all-night parades.

Small Group | Corcovado & Sugar Loaf Tour

This morning after breakfast, it will be time to head out and start ticking off those bucketlist must-sees, starting with Corcovado & the Sugar Loaf Mountain. You will be greeted by your driver and LGBTQ+-friendly guide at your hotel to visit the most famous landmarks of the city and see the natural beauty of Rio de Janeiro from up above.

After a scenic drive along Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, passengers arrive at the bottom of Corcovado Hill. Embark on a comfortable train that ascends the mountain, where the statue of Christ the Redeemer is located 2,300 ft above sea level. The Christ statue, known as the “wonder of Rio”, was recently elected one of the 7 "New Wonders of the World". Upon arrival at the top, guests can use the panoramic elevators or escalators to arrive at the foot of the statute. There, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and discover why it is called the "Marvelous City". Afterwards, descend the mountain and stop for a delicious lunch.

Over a million tourists each year visit the world-famous ‘Pão de Açúcar’, (Sugar Loaf Mountain), which has become an iconic symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Rising up from a small peninsula at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, its name is said to refer to its resemblance to the traditional shape of a concentrated, refined sugar loaf. The journey to the top is made in glass cable cars.

The first cable car will take you all to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay and its surrounding islands. From Urca Hill, you'll then continue in a second cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf which rises 395 meters above sea level and offers a 360-degree view of the entire city including Botafogo and Copacabana Beaches, Corcovado Mountain and downtown Rio de Janeiro.

After another amazing day, you will be driven back by your driver to your hotel, ready for an evening out and about, or relaxing at the bar on the rooftop!
