Thank you so much for calling over the weekend about your wonderful updated plans to your amazing honeymoon! I am delighted to enclose your finalised version, with the addition of adding in a stunning couple of nights in Sicily, so you have the chance to see the village of Maugeri after your surname as a quirky idea.
To stay as close to the $8K per person, as your direct Delta flights have increased a fair bit, I opted instead for one stop flights with United & Brussels Airlines, which have kept your itinerary as close to the 16K total as possible. If you did want to upgrade to Delta, this will now be an additional $575.00 per person.
To fit Sicily in, I decided to bring down one night out of both Venice & Rome, so you have two nights in each rather than 3 nights, as well as added in your domestic flights to ensure ease of travel. There is only one direct flight to Athens from Catania, hence why this time of arrival is later in the day. In Sicily, you will be staying close to the beautiful UNESCO town of Taormina, a 45 min drive from Catania Airport, and in my opinion, one of the highlights of the island. It is steeped in history and beautiful architecture, as is your sweet 4* Villa Hotel you will have to relax in after a day of exploring.
