About your itinerary

? Don't forget that if something isn't quite right we can make changes to the itinerary.
Thank you so much for your call today about your amazing travel plans to French Polynesia for your honeymoon in June. I am so excited you contacted us and I am really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on your itinerary I am delighted to enclose below.
Included within your honeymoon getaway, I have added in some great flights with United, leaving San Francisco on a direct route to Tahiti, with your return flight taking you back to Philadelphia over two stops.
Should you wish to potentially use points to book your flights, this would bring your itinerary total to $20,580.00
You will also see that all your logistics have been taken care of, so you really don't have to lift a finger – with our lovely team welcoming you on every turn, as well as your hotel transfers and domestic flights all included.
As for your hotels, I have given you plenty of options as requested, with your current resorts starting with the 5* Hilton Tahiti, over to the 5* Hilton Moorea, and ending in the sensational 5* St Regis Bora Bora. After speaking to my St Regis contact as well as my Hilton contact this afternoon, I can confirm we are on limited time with the bungalows I have quoted, so do let me know if you wish for me to hold these until our chat on Monday to ensure the availability does not change.
I know you were keen on a bunch of gorgeous experiences, so I have added some optional tours & bucketlist moments, as well as some lovely options already included in your time. Of course, as we spoke about, excursions we have a bit more time for, but the accommodations are certainly already looking pretty full so we will need to move swiftly to guarantee your honeymoon in French Polynesia over these dates.
I appreciate that the total itinerary pricing is on the higher end of what we discussed and I honestly believe this is due to many bungalows already being booked up for these dates, so prices are already inflated, but I have managed to secure a special rate with the St Regis, giving your Superior Overwater Bungalow an early bird rate following negotiation with my contact has helped keep it as low as I could go!
Really excited to hear your first thoughts and looking forward to being your travel expert taking care of your very special momentous getaway.
Best travels,
Maria Gardner

Welcome to French Polynesia

Text Welcome to French Polynesia
Sculpted by sky-piercing, moss-green peaks and lined with vivid turquoise lagoons, sultry French Polynesia is a place to take it slow and experience warm, laid-back island culture.
The islands of French Polynesia became legends the minute the first European explorers reached their home shores with tales of a heaven on earth where the soil was fertile, life was simple and lust was guilt-free. While the lingering hype is outdated, French Polynesia is still about as dreamy as reality gets. The lagoons are just as blue but there are freeways, more conservative values and nine-to-five jobs. It’s not the untainted paradise of explorer lore, but at least there’s an internet connection.
The slim stretches of white-, pink- and black-sand beaches in French Polynesia are really just pretty springboards into the real draw: the lagoons. Most high islands are surrounded by fringing reef that creates a protected swimming pool of the most intense aqua imaginable. Coral atolls have this same calibre of lagoon minus the big island in the middle. Fish, dolphins, rays, sharks, turtles and more inhabit these clear-water coral gardens that are as excellent for snorkelling as they are for diving and swimming. Surfers ride glassy wave faces at reef passes while kitesurfers fly across the water with the trade winds.

Just in case the Hilton isn't quite fitting the vibe, I wanted to share the other option that I recommend for your stay on Tahiti, the wonderful Intercontinental Tahiti Resort & Spa. This property offers a more authentic feel with a small slice of beach overlooking Moorea and the ocean beyond.
Slightly further away from Papeete you may be a cab ride away from the main areas but it offers a charming atmosphere.
For their Premium Ocean Room with breakfast, this would be an additional $200.00 per person.

Text Discover Tahiti | Best Bits
Today you will have a day of self-exploration, and just to get those inspirational feelings flowing, I have added in some amazing spots to discover in this amazing island. Tahiti is quite often overlooked by travellers wanting to get to Bora Bora, but Tahiti has a lot to offer that many miss out on.
Explore the Lagoons in a Glass Kayak
Tahiti is renowned for having some of the world’s best opportunities to experience marine wildlife, many of which are to be found in the shallow lagoons surrounding the islands of Tahiti. One of the most unique things to do in Tahiti is to hop on board a glass kayak and discover this from above water, with a clear view down below.
Hike Mount Aorai
Put your boots on and hike to the summit of the incredible Mount Aorai, one of the most iconic climbs in the South Pacific. Experience this 15.3-km out-and-back trail, considered a challenging route but with the best result in the world once you make it to the top. **You need to have a very good fitness level for this hike!
Chase Waterfalls & Beaches
While most people love to spend their time on the gorgeous coastal white and black sand beaches, Tahiti is also known for its numerous waterfalls hikes! Various hikes ranging from “extremely easy” to “expert explorer” are available.
A more popular hike is to Fautaua Waterfall, one of the tallest waterfalls in the world. This hike takes approximately 5 to 6 hours and will take you through Tahiti’s luscious and vibrantly green interior!
If you are looking for an easy beginner hike, the 3 waterfalls of Faarumai are for you! The second and third waterfalls are just another 20-minute walk from the first. These two waterfalls are right next to each other and are named Haamarere Iti and Haamarere Rahi.
Explore Papeete Market
In the heart of the capital is the lively Pape’ete Market, which takes up the space of an entire city block. If you are keen on trying some local baked goods or picking up some handcrafted souvenirs, such as shell necklaces, woven hats, or sarongs, this is the place to go!
Harrison Smith Botanical Garden
If you are a plant enthusiast or simply want to feel like you have entered some magically enchanted forest, these stunning Botanical Gardens will hit the spot. The garden grounds seemingly stretch forever and have several winding paths around ponds, vivid flowers, and a giant banyan tree. You can easily spend half a day wandering through the grounds admiring all the exotic plants and species. The downside is that with all the attractive vegetation and flowers, there are a plethora of mosquitoes. You will definitely want to apply an almost excessive amount of mosquito spray.
Lava Tube Canyoning
If you are looking for a thrilling adventure and don’t mind getting a little dirty, I would recommend going lava tube canyoning on the east coast side of Tahiti in Hitiaa. Inside the lava tubes, you will be able to see Tahiti’s incredible interior as well as visit various waterfalls! To do this hike, you will want to go with a guide because they will be able to provide you with the necessary gear (wetsuit, helmet, etc) as well as safely lead you through the lava tubes.
Plage du Taharuu
Plage du Taharuu is one of the most popular beaches amongst tourists and locals alike. It is a striking black sand beach that is home to the popular surf break, Papara. If surfing isn’t your thing, this beach is the ideal spot to sunbathe and soak up the afternoon sun!

Moorea Sunset Beach Cafe
Don't be fooled by its relaxed and Polynesian inspired decor, the food to be had at Sunset Beach is recommended highly by some of the top food critics on Moorea! Take a pew and admire the sunset as it slowly falls into the ocean over a romantic set of stunning Tahitian delicacies which goes down well with a bottle of Veuve Cliquot champagne! Perfection.

Restaurant K
Set on the beachfront of the stunning Kia Ora Moorea hotel, Restaurant K is all about intimate gourmet memories paired with expert wine. Feel your feet melt into the warm sand as you settle under a cathedral ceiling made from Kahaia wood from the Tuamotu atolls as you look out over the view of the lagoon. With only 10-12 tables up for grabs every night, the restaurant is an extremely popular place for those looking to dine in an extra special environment with sensational food. Booking is advised should you be looking to devour the many foods on their menu!
Snack Mahana
For those looking to get more connected with the locals and Polynesian culture, breezy Mahana is a family-run lunch restaurant full of wonderful grilled mahimahi (dorado), tuna sashimi and the national dish, "Poisson Cru". Based in a sublime location overlooking the turquoise lagoon, this heart-stealing open-air snack bar is surrounded by locals and visitors alike who come here for a tasty lunch and to enjoy the warm sun. It can't get more mellow than this! Tip: Arrive before 1 pm to reserve a table. Cash only: Polynesian Franks and US dollars accepted!

Today you will be in for a fantastic tour of Moorea's West Coast on ATVs. Easy and fun, your tour allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of the land of Moorea, which still counts some places inaccessible to standard vehicles. Craters with steep lines, lush and varied plantations, rivers, and panoramic views.
These new generation fully automatic machines are specially designed for rides: safe, stable and comfortable for the two passengers, they are mostly very simple to drive and go anywhere
Your tour starts with a short briefing to explain how to drive these engines. Drive on the main road until Opunohu Bay and then reach the Belvedere panoramic view.
After a short break and a short drive, the tour will stop at the agricultural school. This is the perfect place to drive slowly through the local vegetation and listen to the explanations of your guide about the tropical fruits, vegetables and their use in Polynesian life.
You will drive then on a different path to go on the "Bounty trail" from which you will appreciate a spectacular view of the mountains around.
The next target is to reach the summit of the "Magic Mountain". You will have to drive through different valleys, and where the road ends, continue by feet for 2 minutes only: a 360° panoramic view is waiting for you … just gorgeous!

Text Welcome to Bora Bora
Ah, Bora Bora. The stuff of dreams. As you arrive by plane, the view says it all. How not to be mesmerised by this stunning palette of sapphire, indigo and turquoise, all mixed together in modern-art abstractions? And these sand-edged motu (islets) and soaring rainforest-covered basaltic peaks? With such a dreamlike setting, Bora Bora is, unsurprisingly, a honeymooners’ choice.
But there’s much more to do than clink glasses with your loved one in a luxurious hotel. The good thing is that you can mix slow-paced sun-and-sand holidays with action-packed adventures. Diving, snorkelling, lagoon tours, hiking and parasailing are readily available. What you shouldn’t expect, though, is a thriving nightlife. Bora Bora is a quiet island perfectly set in paradise.
