Day 1: Arrival
Transfer to the hotel, change out of your travel clothes, and get to the beach before the light goes. Grace Bay in the late afternoon is the best possible introduction to the islands. Dinner at the resort, early night. Tomorrow the honeymoon properly begins.
Day 2: Grace Bay
No agenda except the beach. Snorkel straight off the sand in the morning, the reef is close enough that fins and a mask are all you need. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 3: North Caicos
The ferry from Providenciales takes 30 minutes and lands you in a version of the islands most visitors never see. Pick up a rental car, drive the north coast, spot flamingos on the salinas, and have lunch somewhere local. Back in time for a long dinner.
Day 4: Out on the Water
A private boat charter to the uninhabited cays is one of the best ways to spend a day in Turks and Caicos. Half Moon Bay, the barrier reef, a cooler full of food and drink.
Day 5: Dive, Then Do Nothing
West Caicos has some of the best wall diving in the Atlantic, and if either of you dives, this is the day to go. Non-divers head to the spa in the morning and reconvene on the beach in the afternoon. Dinner somewhere worth dressing for.
Day 6: Salt Cay
A short domestic flight drops you on one of the most remote and quietly extraordinary islands in the archipelago. Between January and April, humpback whales pass through these waters on their annual migration, making this one of the most remarkable wildlife experiences in the Caribbean. The rest of the year it is simply beautiful, unhurried, and unlike anywhere else.
Day 7: The Last Beach Day
Nothing is booked. The morning is for the water, the afternoon is for the sun loungers, and the evening is for the best dinner of the trip.
