This 11-day journey combines several very different sides of Argentina before crossing into Uruguay for a slower finish among the vineyards of Carmelo.
Begin in Buenos Aires, exploring landmarks including La Boca, Teatro Colón and Plaza de Mayo before heading inland to Córdoba.
Here, the pace changes completely with a stay on a traditional estancia, where horseback riding, hiking and spa time offer a glimpse of rural Argentine life.
From Córdoba, fly south to Bariloche in the Argentine Lake District. Set within Nahuel Huapi National Park, this part of Patagonia is defined by mountain scenery, forests and lakes. Spend your time hiking, biking or enjoying watersports, with the option to slow things down at the hotel spa.
Return briefly to Buenos Aires before continuing to Carmelo in western Uruguay.
Surrounded by vineyards, this small riverside town is known for its wine production and relaxed pace. Stay at a five-star resort, visit a local winery and leave time for the spa, beaches and countryside.
The result is a journey that moves from city life to estancia country, Patagonia and finally Uruguay wine country, without repeating the same type of experience twice.

Day 1: Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires and transfer to your hotel.
The rest of the day is free to settle in. Buenos Aires is a good place to ease into the trip, with its mix of grand 19th-century architecture, neighbourhood cafés and a strong European influence that still feels distinctly Argentine.
Day 2: Buenos Aires
Explore the city’s major sights, including La Boca, Teatro Colón and Plaza de Mayo.
These places show very different sides of Buenos Aires, from La Boca’s working-class immigrant history to the grandeur of Teatro Colón and the political significance of Plaza de Mayo.
Day 3: Córdoba
Fly to Córdoba and transfer to your estancia.
The shift from Buenos Aires is immediate. Córdoba’s surrounding countryside is much quieter, with broad open landscapes and a strong estancia tradition that offers a more rural view of Argentina.
Day 4: Córdoba
Spend the day at the estancia.
You can go horseback riding or hiking, or take things more slowly with massage and spa treatments. There is also the option of a tango show during your stay.
Day 5: Bariloche
Fly south to Bariloche and transfer to your hotel in Nahuel Huapi National Park.
This part of Patagonia has a very different character from the south around El Calafate. The scenery here is greener and more alpine, with forested mountains, deep lakes and a notable outdoor culture.
Day 6: Bariloche
Spend the day exploring Nahuel Huapi National Park.
Choose from biking, hiking or watersports, or simply make use of the hotel spa. The appeal of Bariloche is the setting itself, with lakes and mountain views surrounding the city in almost every direction.
Day 7: Buenos Aires
Return to Buenos Aires for one final night in Argentina.
The evening is free, giving you another chance to enjoy the city before crossing into Uruguay.
Day 8: Carmelo
Travel to Carmelo in western Uruguay and check into your five-star resort and spa.
Carmelo is much smaller and quieter than Buenos Aires, set close to the Río de la Plata and surrounded by vineyards and countryside. It is a deliberately slower final chapter to the journey.
Day 9: Carmelo
Visit Bodega Familia Irurtia for a tasting and introduction to Uruguayan wine.
Uruguay is best known for Tannat, a grape that has become closely associated with the country’s wine identity. The rest of the day is free for the spa, local food or more time around Carmelo.
Day 10: Carmelo
Enjoy a final day at leisure.
Spend it at the hotel, explore more of Carmelo or simply slow the pace before your journey home.
Day 11: Departure
Transfer to the airport and fly back to Buenos Aires, where you will connect with your onward flight.
