Day 1: Buenos Aires
When you arrive in Buenos Aires your driver will meet you and take you to your hotel. Day and evening at leisure.
Day 2: Buenos Aires
Today you’ll be heading on a guided tour of Buenos Aires. You’ll visit the Plaza de Mayo, the iconic spot where Eva Peron gave her famous “descamisados” speech; and where Madonna, singing her heart out, was arguably robbed of an Oscar.
You’ll explore the Madero district. You can also visit La Boca where the Tango was invented in the 1880’s.
Day 3: Buenos Aires
You’ll have a day to explore the city at your own pace. Head for a guided tour of the spectacular Teatro Colon and see some of the great works of the avant-garde at MALBA. This museum has works by many of the best Latin American artists, including Frida Khalo.
If you’d like a bit of Argentine folklore then visit Feria de Mataderos, a gaucho market.
If you’d like a lot of Argentine folklore then join a guided tour of Jorge Luis Borges’ Buenos Aires, the greatest writer the city has produced.
Day 4: Iguazu
Fly north to Iguazu, home to one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Your journey takes you into the rainforest, where hundreds of waterfalls cascade through subtropical landscapes.
Day 5: Iguazu
This morning you’ll be taken on a guided tour of Iguazu Falls. From Iguazú national park you’ll descend into the rainforest. Your guide will introduce you to the extraordinary flora and fauna, including naturally occurring sweeteners and even viagra.
You can take a train through the jungle where you’ll see the falls from many different angles. At Devil’s Throat, you’ll see the most powerful part of Iguazu Falls.

Day 6: Rio de Janeiro
On your way to the airport you can visit Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian side, or just travel straight onto Rio.
When you arrive your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 7: Rio de Janeiro
Take to Copacabana Beach and see the vibrant life of Rio go by. It’s a great spot to people watch. Rio can be a sensory overload so you may enjoy some relaxation time.
Day 8: Rio de Janeiro
This morning you’ll be heading on a guided tour of the city. You’ll be heading up Corcovado Mountain where you’ll stand before the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer. On the way up, you’ll visit Tijuca Forest.
Later, you’ll see Sugar Loaf, Botafogo beach and take a cable car up Urca Hill.
After lunch in Ipanema you’ll visit São Bento Monastery and the Museum of Modern Art.
Evening at leisure. You may well wish to sample Rio’s excellent nightlife.
Day 9: Rio de Janeiro
On your last full day you’ll be free to revisit some of your favourite spots or just relax on the beach.
Day 10: Departure
You’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
