You’ll certainly want to visit Quito, the capital city perched on a volcano. It’s the second-highest capital city in the world, in terms of its geographical location! Intrepid travellers will want to explore the Amazon jungle.
Ecuador is progressive in terms of LGBTQ+ rights in South America, having legalised same-sex sexual activity and recognising same-sex unions. Same-sex marriage was legalised in 2019, marking a significant step towards equality.
