Begin in Buenos Aires, a city of grand boulevards, historic cafés and vibrant neighbourhoods where European influences meet Latin American creativity. Discover the passion of tango, explore elegant Recoleta and experience the restaurants, galleries and nightlife that have made the Argentine capital one of the continent’s most captivating cities.

Travel south to Patagonia, a land shaped by glaciers, mountains and endless horizons. Along the Atlantic coast, encounter the incredible wildlife of Peninsula Valdés, where southern right whales, sea lions and penguins thrive in one of Argentina’s most important natural reserves. Continue to Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, forests and the dramatic waters of the Beagle Channel.

The adventure continues in El Calafate, gateway to the spectacular Perito Moreno Glacier, where towering walls of ice create one of Patagonia’s most awe-inspiring sights. From boat journeys beneath ancient glaciers to unforgettable views across some of the world’s most remote landscapes, every moment reveals a different side of Argentina’s natural beauty.

Day 1: Puerto Madryn

You will be met by at the airport and driven to your hotel in Puerto Madryn.

After you have checked into your hotel you will be picked up and taken to Punta Tombo, which is home to the largest colony of Magellan Penguins in South America. Around half a million birds live here during peak breeding season. This extraordinary place allows you to walk amongst the penguins, allowing you to see how they behave up close.

Day 1: Puerto Madryn

Day 2: Puerto Madryn to Peninsula Valdes

After breakfast, travel to Puerto Madryn and begin your journey into Peninsula Valdés, one of Argentina’s most spectacular wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This remote stretch of Patagonian coastline is shaped by dramatic landscapes, endless horizons and some of the richest marine life in South America.

Cross the narrow isthmus separating the Gulf Nuevo and Gulf San José, where the landscape opens into a vast wilderness of golden grasslands and rugged coastline. Explore the peninsula’s protected reserves, home to colonies of southern elephant seals, sea lions, guanacos, rheas and a remarkable variety of birdlife.

Continue to Caleta Valdés, a wild coastal inlet where wildlife gathers along the shoreline. Here, dramatic cliffs meet the Atlantic Ocean, creating one of Patagonia’s most memorable settings. Keep watch for marine animals resting on the beaches and migrating species that return to these waters each year.

Later, descend towards Puerto Pirámides, a small coastal village surrounded by golden cliffs and turquoise waters. During whale season, the bay becomes one of the best places in Argentina to encounter southern right whales, which return here to breed and raise their young. Take a boat excursion into the sheltered waters for the chance to see these magnificent creatures at close range.

Return to Puerto Madryn with a deeper appreciation of Patagonia’s extraordinary wildlife and the fragile ecosystems that make this region so unique.

Day 2: Puerto Madryn to Peninsula Valdes

Enjoy a relaxed day in Puerto Madryn and explore the area at your own pace. Take time to appreciate this coastal Patagonian town, its beaches and its dramatic ocean landscapes.

Day 4: Trelew to Ushuaia

After breakfast, you will be transferred from the hotel to Trelew airport. The journey takes about an hour.

At Ushuaia airport, you will be greeted by our local representative who will then escort you to the hotel and assist you with check-in.

Once you have settled in you will be taken on a city tour of Ushuaia. You will visit Barrio La Mission, as well as other neighbourhoods in the area – all of which are unique and have a story behind them.

You will also take a trip to the Maritime Museum and the End of the World Museum, both of which depict Ushuaia’s past.

Day 4: Trelew to Ushuaia

Day 5: Ushuaia and the National Park

After breakfast, you will get the train to the Tierra del Fuego National Park where you will be greeted with an abundance of wildlife. On the way you’ll be driving past peat bogs and beaver dams. Crossing the Lapataia River you will see a wonderful view of Laguna Verde, which is inhabited by upland geese and ibis every summer.  In Lapataia Bay, you will explore the area and discover several archaeological sites. On your way back to Ushuaia you will stop at Lago Roco.

You will then board the catamaran which will take you along the Beagle Channel.  The landscape quickly changes to mountains topped with glaciers. You will then pass a small island which is home to some noisy seals, sea lions, cormorants and giant petrels.

You’ll then return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 5: Ushuaia and the National Park

Day 6: Ushuaia to Calafate

Transfer to Ushuaia airport for your flight to El Calafate, the gateway to Patagonia’s spectacular glacier landscapes.

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, with time to settle into this charming Patagonian town surrounded by mountains and wilderness.

Day 6: Ushuaia to Calafate

Day 7: Calafate to Perito Moreno Glacier

Visit the extraordinary Perito Moreno Glacier, one of Patagonia’s most impressive natural wonders. Walk along the viewing platforms of the Peninsula de Magallanes for different perspectives of this vast wall of ice.

You don’t realize the vast size of the glacier until you are there. As you make your way along the glacier you will see many crevasses, seracs and small pools. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Day 7: Calafate to Perito Moreno Glacier

Day 8: Calafate to Argentino Lake

Explore the breathtaking landscapes surrounding Lake Argentino, Patagonia’s largest freshwater lake. Discover the beauty of the region’s glaciers, mountains and wide-open wilderness, with opportunities to experience the scale and tranquillity of this remarkable corner of southern Argentina.

Day 8: Calafate to Argentino Lake

Day 9: Calafate

Enjoy your final day in El Calafate at leisure. Take time to relax, explore the town or enjoy the surrounding Patagonian scenery before your onward journey.
