Start in Puerto Madryn, where you’ll discover Punta Tombo’s largest colony of Magellan Penguins. Puerto Madryn also is a lovely place to wander around, exploring its charming streets, and relaxing by the sea. Then head to Peninsula Valdes’ UNESCO World Heritage Site to witness its unique flora and fauna.
Next, venture to the vibrant city of Ushuaia, known as the “End of the World.” Delve into the city’s history with a guided tour, visiting landmarks like Barrio La Mission, the Maritime Museum, and the End of the World Museum.
Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Tierra del Fuego National Park as you journey through its pristine wilderness. Traverse the picturesque landscapes aboard a scenic train ride, encountering an abundance of wildlife along the way. Set sail on a mesmerizing catamaran cruise along the Beagle Channel, witnessing towering glaciers and diverse marine life.
Journey to Calafate, where the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier awaits. Embark on a guided walk atop the glacier – don’t forget your camera, as the views are out-of-this-world.
Finally, you’ll explore Argentino Lake and Estancia Cristina’s rugged terrain, concluding your journey with unforgettable memories to take home.

Day 1: Puerto Madryn
You will be met by at the airport and driven to your hotel in Puerto Madryn.
After you have checked into your hotel you will be picked up and taken to Punta Tombo, which is home to the largest colony of Magellan Penguins in South America. Around half a million birds live here during peak breeding season. This extraordinary place allows you to walk amongst the penguins, allowing you to see how they behave up close.
Day 2: Puerto Madryn to Peninsula Valdes
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the Puerto Madryn. If you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of a rhea, South American ostrich or guanaco wondering on the flat grey expanse.
You will cross the isthmus where you will be able to see the waters of the San Jose Gulf on your left and the large bay of the Nuevo Gulf to the right. Inside the national park and nature reserve you can see the San Jose Fort museum, which informs you of all the flora and fauna that are present in the peninsula.
Spot the sea elephants, storks, guanaco deer, armadillos, Patagonian hares, foxes, eagles and many more species at Caleta Valdes, which is a natural long creek home to an abundance of wildlife.
After Caleta Valdes the road descends into golden cliffs overlooking the bay of the small village, Puerto Piramides. Southern right whales tend to arrive here in late August, however they have been sighted as early as June and use the bay to mate and breed. Take a boat trip into the bay and get up close with these fascinating animals.
Day 3: Puerto Madryn
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. You will have the whole day to explore the area at your leisure.
Day 4: Trelew to Ushuaia
After breakfast, you will be transferred from the hotel to Trelew airport. The journey takes about an hour.
At Ushuaia airport, you will be greeted by our local representative who will then escort you to the hotel and assist you with check-in.
Once you have settled in you will be taken on a city tour of Ushuaia. You will visit Barrio La Mission, as well as other neighbourhoods in the area – all of which are unique and have a story behind them.
You will also take a trip to the Maritime Museum and the End of the World Museum, both of which depict Ushuaia’s past.
Day 5: Ushuaia and the National Park
After breakfast, you will get the train to the Tierra del Fuego National Park where you will be greeted with an abundance of wildlife. On the way you’ll be driving past peat bogs and beaver dams. Crossing the Lapataia River you will see a wonderful view of Laguna Verde, which is inhabited by upland geese and ibis every summer. In Lapataia Bay, you will explore the area and discover several archaeological sites. On your way back to Ushuaia you will stop at Lago Roco.
You will then board the catamaran which will take you along the Beagle Channel. The landscape quickly changes to mountains topped with glaciers. You will then pass a small island which is home to some noisy seals, sea lions, cormorants and giant petrels.
You’ll then return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.
Day 6: Ushuaia to Calafate
After breakfast you will be transferred to Ushuaia airport, where you will board a flight to Calafate.
You will be met by our local representative who will escort you to your hotel and assist you with check-in.
Day 7: Calafate to Perito Moreno Glacier
After breakfast you will head to Perito Moreno Glacier. This glacier is 30km long and comprised of several ice towers. Walk the glacier on the guided walkways and see the many different views of the Peninsula de Magallanes.
You don’t realise the vast size of the glacier until you are there. As you make your way along the glacier you will see many crevasses, seracs and small pools. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.
Day 8: Calafate to Argentino Lake
Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning. You will be collected from your hotel and taken to Estancia Cristina, which is located within Los Glaciares National Park. You will journey around the lake which is rich with incredible scenery.
Your action-packed day will include a trip on a comfortable boat, navigating among icebergs and stunning scenery overlooking the western face of the Upsala glacier and through Cristina Canal, and then disembarking at the Estancia. You’ll spend several hours at the Estancia, as well as ascending up to the Upsala ViewPoint in all-terrain vehicles across mountainous roads.
Spend the afternoon at the Continental ice shelter where you’ll take a walk to enjoy privileged views of the Upsala Glacier oriental face, Lake Guillermo, Southern Patagonian Ice & Andes.
Day 9: Calafate
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home – or your next holiday destination.
