Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is a five-star oceanfront resort on Wailea Beach, on the sunny southwest coast of Maui.
The resort spreads over 15 oceanfront acres above Wailea Beach and is the only resort on the island with both a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond rating. Its 383 rooms and suites are among the largest on Maui, with furnished lanais and views of the ocean, gardens, or Mount Haleakala. It has recently been refreshed.
Dining runs across four restaurants, led by Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, oceanfront Ferraro’s, the steak-and-seafood DUO, and the new sushi room KOMO, plus a Lobby Lounge with a nightly hula show. There is a spa and wellness centre, an adults-only infinity pool, and two more pools.
It suits couples, gay or straight, on a honeymoon as much as families, helped by kids’ and teens’ programs. Kahului Airport is about 40 minutes north, and Haleakala and the Road to Hana are easy day trips.

Deluxe Ocean View Room
Deluxe Ocean View Room come with a king bed or two queen beds with Four Seasons mattresses. State-of-the-art air purification systems refresh the airspace every 30 minutes, as well as HEPA filter devices. You can also opt for a Garden Side Room and a Mountainside Room.
Ocean View Prime Suite
Ocean View Prime Suites come with one or two-bedrooms. They give you direct views of the ocean and have spacious living area. The living area opens onto a private lanais with daybeds and chairs.
Deluxe Club Ocean View Rooms
Ideal for romantic trips, the Deluxe Club Ocean View Rooms are the most popular of the Club Ocean View Rooms category. They offer contemporary interiors, high ceilings and sweeping views of the ocean.
Three Bedroom Presidential Suite
The grandest suite delivers an unbeatable Maui experience for families and groups. The suite offers 180-degree ocean views and an outdoor lanai fronting the entire north wing. This is as luxurious as it gets in Hawaii.

Dining
There are four restaurants. Spago is Wolfgang Puck’s Maui room, a Forbes Four-Star spot blending Hawaiian and Californian cooking, while Ferraro’s is the only oceanfront open-air restaurant in Wailea, serving coastal Italian on the sand. DUO handles steaks and local seafood, and the new KOMO is a sushi room with twice-weekly shipments from Japan. The Lobby Lounge runs cocktails, a nightly hula show, and sunset torch lighting.
Wellness
The spa and wellness centre has been rebuilt as part of the resort’s recent refresh, with 13 treatment rooms and oceanfront hales in the gardens, and a signature Lomi Mohala massage drawing on Hawaiian technique. There are three pools, including an adults-only infinity pool with cabanas, a fitness centre, and tennis. Wailea Beach is calm and swimmable, with snorkelling off the sand and the wider Wailea coast for walks.
Activities
Wailea is one of the best bases on Maui for getting out. Three championship golf courses are minutes away, with tennis and pickleball at the resort, and catamaran trips run from the beach to Molokini Crater for some of the island’s best snorkelling. Further afield, there is the sunrise drive up Haleakala and the long, winding Road to Hana. For families, the resort runs Kids for All Seasons and Teens for All Seasons programs.
