At a glance
Bvlgari Hotel Roma brings the jewellery house’s Italian legacy to its most powerful address: Piazza Augusto Imperatore, in the historic heart of Campo Marzio.
The 106-room hotel draws its design from the imperial grandeur surrounding it, working travertine and marble into large-format contemporary interiors that look out directly over the Mausoleum of Augustus. Rooms and suites follow a palette calibrated to ancient Rome, blending historical weight with precision craftsmanship.
Dining is led by Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, one of Italy’s most acclaimed culinary figures, with the Bvlgari Bar Terrace, Champagne Bar, Lobby Lounge, and Italy’s first Bvlgari Dolci chocolatier completing a hotel dining offer that rivals anything in the city.
The Bvlgari Spa and indoor pool offer a resort-level retreat rarely found this close to Rome’s historic centre, while the hotel’s curated Magnificent Path walking tour reframes the Eternal City through the lens of Bvlgari’s Roman heritage.

Highlights
- 106 rooms and suites designed around an imperial marble and travertine palette, with views over Piazza Augusto Imperatore
- On-site dining includes Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, the Bvlgari Bar Terrace, Champagne Bar, and Italy’s first Bvlgari Dolci
- Bvlgari Spa with indoor pool and a dedicated gymnasium in the heart of historic Rome
Accommodation
Superior Rooms
At 33 square metres, the 22 Superior Rooms are the most intimate option at Bvlgari Hotel Roma. Each follows one of four colour palettes drawn from Rome’s imperial past, with Mediterranean marble bathrooms setting the tone for the rest of the room. Sumptuous materials and rich textures throughout reflect the hotel’s Made in Italy design philosophy, with views across Piazza Augusto Imperatore or Via della Frezza.
Premium Rooms
The 14 Premium Rooms each measure 49 square metres and sit a clear step above the Superior category in scale and material weight. Four colour palettes rooted in Roman heritage work across the full interior, with Mediterranean marble anchoring the bathroom and feeding into the fabrics and furnishings beyond. Views look out onto either Piazza Augusto Imperatore or the quieter Via della Frezza.
Deluxe Suites
At 81 square metres, the Deluxe Suites offer generous proportions and a distinct suite-level layout. Each is expressed through one of four colour palettes, with Mediterranean marble in the bathroom evoking Bvlgari’s iconic coloured gemstones. Flos lighting and mosaic roundels add considered detail throughout. Views take in either Piazza Augusto Imperatore or Via della Frezza, with the suite’s Roman heritage visible in every design element.
Premium Suites
Two Premium Suites each span 133 square metres, making them among the most substantial accommodations in the hotel outside the Bvlgari Suite itself. Roman heritage and Mediterranean origins are expressed in coloured marble bathrooms that set the palette for the entire space, carrying through into fabrics and furnishings. Views look over Piazza Augusto Imperatore or Via della Frezza, with Bvlgari’s jewellery house DNA woven into every detail.

Bvlgari Spa

The Bvlgari Spa spans 1,500 square metres and takes its design cues from ancient Roman bathing culture: marble columns rise from the 20-metre pool, with Bisazza mosaics referencing the Baths of Caracalla. Eight treatment rooms, a spa suite with a green onyx bath, and a treatment menu by Augustinus Bader round out one of Rome’s most considered wellness spaces. Open daily, 7am to 9pm.
Dining and Drinks

Dining spans five venues. Il Ristorante – Niko Romito occupies the fifth floor with a terrace overlooking the Mausoleum of Augustus. The Bvlgari Bar handles aperitivo and cocktails until 1am, its bar top finished with 110 gold-dust Murano glass twirls by Barovier & Toso. Il Caffe sits beneath the porticos of Piazza Augusto Imperatore, the Lobby Lounge serves afternoon tea and aperitif for hotel guests, and La Terrazza rounds out the rooftop options.
Italy
Italy is a long, narrow country running from the Alps in the north to Sicily and the Mediterranean in the south. The geography changes faster than the language. Alpine lakes (Como, Garda, Maggiore) in the north. Industrial cities, fashion and finance in Milan and Turin. The Renaissance cities of the central plain (Florence, Bologna, Siena). The capital and ancient sites in Rome. The southern coastlines of the Amalfi, Puglia and Calabria.
Our Experts
Italy is one of the best places in Europe to experience culture, food and beautiful scenery. With so much character and colour, the Amalfi Coast is a personal favourite of mine.
I never get tired of planning luxury vacations in Italy. There are so many magical cities and experiences to be enjoyed. Beaches, mountains and rolling countryside, there really is something for everyone.
Stellar service. Stellar products. Stellar people and it gets so much better when you pick up the phone and call.

Rome’s Gay Legacy: A Luxury LGBTQ+ Tour Through the Roman Empire
Tailor-made HolidayThe Roman Empire's relationship with sexuality was fundamentally different from the morality imposed by later Christianity. Same-sex relationships existed openly among the elite, were documented in historical records, and shaped the empire's political and cultural landscape. What's often sanitised in standard history books becomes viscerally real when you stand in the actual spaces where these emperors lived, ruled, and loved. This isn't revisionist history.
