At a glance
Le Taha’a by Pearl Resorts sits on Motu Tautau, a private islet in the lagoon shared by Taha’a and Raiatea, with views of Bora Bora’s silhouette on one side and the lush shores of the Vanilla Island on the other. The first Relais and Chateaux member in the Islands of Tahiti, the resort offers 59 suites and villas built around traditional
Polynesian architecture, from overwater suites positioned above the coral garden to pool beach villas with direct lagoon access and private tropical gardens.
Taha’a produces what many chefs consider the world’s finest vanilla, and the island’s vanilla plantations and pearl farms are among the most visited excursions from the resort.
Helicopter transfers from Bora Bora take 14 minutes and provide an aerial view across the lagoon that the resort actively recommends as the arrival experience.

Wellness
Tavai Spa sits in an exotic garden surrounded by bamboo trees, overlooking the resort’s calm inland lagoon. The treatment menu is one of the most comprehensive in French Polynesia, with named Polynesian massage techniques including Taurumi, Mahara, Maruapo, and Hapuhina Oa’Oa alongside full rituals such as Le Taha’a Ritual, the Tereora Ritual, and the Theame Signature Ceremony. Body scrubs, wraps, and Beau’Tea and Hydra’Tea facial treatments complete the menu. The spa is open daily from 10:30 am to 6 pm.
Location
Taha’a shares its lagoon with neighboring Raiatea, 45 minutes by air from Tahiti, and is known across French Polynesia as the Vanilla Island for the quality of its vanilla plantations. Le Taha’a sits 35 minutes from Raiatea Airport by shuttle boat, and five minutes from the village of Tapuamu. The shared lagoon opens up a wide range of excursions across both islands, including pearl farm visits, vanilla plantation tours, cultural sites on Raiatea, and snorkelling across the coral garden directly below the overwater suites.
