At a glance

Six Senses London occupies a quarter of the Grade II-listed former Whiteley’s department store in Bayswater, bringing the brand’s signature wellness philosophy to the capital for the first time in a building that has defined West London for over a century.

Set moments from Hyde Park and Notting Hill, Six Senses London houses 109 rooms and suites, many with private terraces, alongside 14 branded residences.

Interiors by AvroKO use terra-cotta tones, muted blues, marble accents, and natural materials throughout.

The 2,300 square metre spa introduces several London firsts, including a magnesium pool, cryotherapy chamber, flotation pod, and Biohack Recovery Lounge. Whiteley’s Kitchen serves vegetable-forward modern British cooking across all-day dining, while Six Senses Place, the brand’s first private members’ club, adds a dimension to the offering that no other hotel in London currently provides.

Accommodation

Whiteley Suite

The flagship accommodation at Six Senses London, spanning 291 square metres with a 125sqm landscaped rooftop terrace that runs a third of the length of the building, with trees, sun loungers, and panoramic city views. Two king bedrooms, each with a Naturalmat mattress and a marble bathroom with a freestanding tub, rainfall shower, and twin sinks. A separate living and dining area, a wet bar, and a chef-worthy sage-toned kitchen complete what is genuinely one of the most spectacular suite terraces in London. Airport transfers are included in the room rate.

Westbourne Suite

Generous suites with private furnished terraces and dual-aspect floor-to-ceiling windows looking over the courtyard or the city. Art Deco interiors throughout, with parquet flooring, curated artwork, custom tiling, and Crittall details. A sitting area, wet bar, and king bed with a Naturalmat mattress sit alongside an open-plan bathroom with a rainfall shower and twin sinks. One of the most spacious options below the flagship Whiteley Suite.

Junior Suite

Private furnished terraces and the full Six Senses aesthetic in a more compact footprint. Art Deco details, parquet flooring, Crittall touches, and a double bed with a Naturalmat mattress. The open-plan bathroom features a walk-in rainfall shower and twin sinks. A sitting area adds a sense of separation from the sleeping space, and the private terrace makes these suites considerably more appealing than the square footage alone suggests.

Terrace Room

A spacious room with a private furnished terrace and floor-to-ceiling courtyard views, sitting above many standard room categories in both size and outdoor space. The living area and king bed with Naturalmat mattress are complemented by an open-plan bathroom with a freestanding bathtub, rainfall shower, and twin sinks. Art Deco parquet, custom tiling, and Crittall details run throughout, consistent with the wider hotel aesthetic.

Further information

Spa and Wellness

Six Senses Spa London occupies 25,000 square feet beneath the hotel, with 13 treatment rooms, a flotation pod, cryotherapy, a Turkish hammam, bio sauna, and a 24-hour fitness center. Wellness screening measures your biomarkers before any treatment or multi-day program begins. Biohacking tech sits alongside hands-on therapies, from De Mamiel bodywork to Alchemy Bar sessions where you blend your own botanical remedies to take home.

Dining

Whiteley’s Kitchen, Bar & Café brings modern British cooking to the ground floor, with seasonal sharing plates built on fire, fermentation, and produce sourced with intention. The Eat With Six Senses nutritional philosophy runs through everything, from vegetable-led dinners to farmhouse bakes and small-batch coffee at the Café. Cocktails are made with or without alcohol; in-room dining is available throughout.

The destination

United Kingdom

The United Kingdom sits off the northwest coast of continental Europe, comprising England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. London serves as the capital and functions as one of the world’s great international hubs, with direct flights from North America, Asia, Africa, and Australia making it one of the most accessible long-haul destinations on the planet. England is the largest of the four nations and the most visited.

The UK is home to not one, but four magical countries. Many tourists choose to combine a couple into one trip, perhaps Wales and Scotland.

London is one of my favourite destinations and can so easily be combined with the equally chic city of Paris into one twin-city trip.

Luxury English Country House Tour for LGBTQ+ Travellers

Tailor-made Holiday

The English country house is one of the great inventions of British civilisation. For three centuries these estates shaped the landscape, defined a way of life, and played host to the kind of private world that rarely made it into the history books. What did make it in tells a more interesting story than the official version suggests.

LGBTQ+ Theatre Trip to London: West End Shows, Soho & Stratford

Tailor-made Holiday

No country on earth does theatre quite like the United Kingdom. From the West End stages that have shaped global popular culture to the small, radical fringe venues where the next generation of writers and performers are redefining what theatre can be, Britain's relationship with live performance runs deeper than anywhere else. It is the country that gave the world Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
