The ancient city of Split is a UNESCO location boasting incredible history and culture. You’ll want to visit the remains of Diocletian’s Palace, one of the world’s greatest Roman Ruins. We’ll enjoy a welcome dinner in the evening where you’ll get to meet your fellow travellers.
After a leisurely morning it’ll be time for an adrenaline buzz. We’ll be zip-lining in Omis giving you a panoramic view of the canyon and river. No doubt in a somewhat excitable state, we’ll head for a guided tour of Omis Old Town and then have dinner.
After breakfast we’ll head out for a hike. Don’t worry, it won’t be too excessive. The route we are taking will show you the former dividing line between the Turkish and Venetian empires, and also the site of a former autonomous community the lived in the Medieval period.
At the end of the hike, we’ll dine on some local cuisine and then return to Split.
Krka National Park boasts seven waterfalls, including Skradinski Buk, the biggest of them all. This is the one we’ll be trekking towards. After a bracing walk we’ll head to Sibenik for a dinner with spectacular views of St. James Cathedral.
Bring your wetsuit as we’ll be snorkelling in a pretty amazing setting. We’ll take a cruise through an archipelago of 89 uninhabited islands surrounded by high cliffs and clear waters. We may even get lucky and spot turtles and dolphins. This will make for an unforgettable outing. Having worked up quite an appetite, we’ll have lunch at a seafood restaurant.
We’ll be driving North to the Zrmanja River for a spot of kayaking. With waterfalls, canyons and crystal clear waters, this river is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world. You’ll see a diverse array of flora and fauna.
After lunch we’ll head to the ancient city of Zadar to see its Roman ruins and medieval churches.
Today we’ll be taking a 60-minute drive up the Veliko Rujno plateau. We’ll take a hike through stunning scenery and see Our Lady of Assumptions church. We’ll arrive at Strazbenica, one of the most scenic viewpoints. We’ll have lunch in a mountain hut along the way.
From Velika Paklenica Creek we’ll descend through a gorge. Evening at (well earned) leisure.
At Plitvice Park we’ll see over 90 waterfalls, various caves and emerald green lakes. A scenic train ride will then take us back to our starting point. We’ll then head to Croatia’s capital city, Zagreb. Here you’ll be free to explore the cities’ cuisine and nightlife.
Just an hours drive from Zagreb, we’ll be heading to the Zumbeaka and Samobor Highland National Park, a great spot for hiking. We’ll then explore the baroque architecture of the town of Samobor. Here you can taste the popular Kremsnite pastry along with a coffee.
Back in Zagreb you’ll be free to further explore the city.
On our last full day we’ll have a guided tour of Zagreb Old Town. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city at leisure. In the evening we’ll have a farewell dinner.
After breakfast we’ll arrange your transfer to the airport for your return flight.
