What does travel insurance cover?
Emergency Medical Expenses
Suppose you experience an unexpected medical emergency during your trip, such as chest pains, a broken bone, or any other ailment covered by your Redpoint policy. This coverage ensures you receive quality medical care at your destination. The medical expense coverage provided by Redpoint operates on a reimbursement basis. You pay for the medical expenses and then file a claim for reimbursement when you return home.
Emergency Medical Evacuation
In the event of a situation on your trip requiring urgent medical attention, this coverage ensures you receive prompt care and can be safely returned home for medical treatment if necessary.
Trip Cancellation
Consider a scenario where you or your partner falls ill unexpectedly, preventing you from going on your trip. Trip cancellation coverage ensures that you can cancel your trip due to sickness and receive reimbursement for expenses that would typically be non-refundable. The maximum coverage per person is up to 100% of the trip cost, provided that a doctor imposes restrictions at the time of loss, preventing you from embarking on the covered trip.
Trip Delay
Imagine your transport provider experiences a delay of three hours or more due to adverse weather conditions. In such cases, you are eligible for reimbursement for additional accommodation and meals required during your extended wait for your flight.
Missed Connection
If your flight connection is delayed by three hours or more due to inclement weather or a common carrier delay, you can receive reimbursement for additional transportation needed to continue your journey and any unused, non-refundable trip expenses.
Baggage and Personal Effects
In the unfortunate event that your luggage is lost, stolen, or damaged through no fault of your own while traveling, you can be reimbursed for the affected personal articles and expenses.
Luggage Delay
Should your luggage be delayed for 12 hours or more, you’re eligible for reimbursement for the cost of replacing necessary personal effects. If you’re traveling with sporting equipment that’s delayed, you can receive reimbursement for the rental of such equipment.
Travel Assistance
If you require travel advice or assistance in finding an English-speaking doctor in your area, you can reach out to Redpoint Travel Services 24/7. Their experts are fully available to provide support, including language interpretation services.
Please note:
Out Of Office does not operate the travel insurance policy. Your purchase will be directly with Redpoint and, as such, we cannot discuss details of the policy or provide advice on the most suitable policy for your circumstances. Any claims or questions need to be directed to Redpoint directly.
