Gay vacations Canada

One of the most cosmopolitan countries on earth, Canada really does have it all. An ideal destination for a gay or lesbian honeymoon, Canada was one of the first places on earth to legalise same-sex marriage. Gay travellers have always been welcome in Canada.

At a glance

From the bustling cities of Toronto and Vancouver to the slopes of Whistler and the falls of Niagara, the country is teeming with activity. Boasting a high standard of living and stable political system, Canada seems to have the balance just right. Most countries look on with envy.

The Great White North is a vast country. You’ll no doubt want to visit French Canada. Montreal is a fabulous city and it has one of the best gay scenes in North America. The people of Canada have a reputation for being very welcoming.

Travel Information

Canada is a breath of fresh air. Whether you are hiking in the Rocky Mountains, skiing in whistler or kayaking in the Tofino Sea you are sure to find unbeatable scenery and tranquillity. Toronto is Canada’s biggest city, and its atmosphere is infectious.

Take a trip up the CN tower for the best skyline views or go and see an ice hockey game and experience the incredible buzz from the crowd. Then there is the breathtaking Niagara falls, probably the biggest natural tourist attraction in North America.

Head to Newfoundland and Labrador which is one of the best places to see the Northern Lights. This incredible aurora display is unmissable. The landscape itself is quite something as well, it’s like no human has ever been there with its jagged rocky landscape and misty atmosphere.

See the stunning Niagara Falls in action and watch the unstoppable flow of water tumble down to the bottom of the waterfall. It is packed with tourists but totally worth it.

Haida Gwaii is an archipelago on the West Coast of Canada. It is home to many unique and fascinating species of flora and fauna including bald eagles and bears.

Sable Island is not known to many people since the main inhabitants of the island are wild horses. The island is located just off the coast of Nova Scotia but is part of Canada.

Canada has a number of international airports and depending on which side of the country you are visiting you’ll likely find direct flights from a number of European and North American cities. The main hubs are in Vancouver and Toronto. Smaller airports are also at Calgary and Banff.
