Nine days across St Lucia’s volcanic south and Grenada’s spice-scented coast, from the Pitons to the nutmeg groves.
St Lucia opens the trip with four nights built around the Pitons, the pair of volcanic spires that anchor the island’s southwest coast.
Days here have weight to them: a hike partway up Gros Piton, an afternoon in sulfur-warmed mud at the springs below, a stretch of coastline covered by a private catamaran with stops for snorkeling, and a village market visited on foot rather than from a coach.
Grenada takes over for the remaining three nights, and it reads as a different island entirely rather than a second St Lucia.
Nutmeg groves are still working the same trade that built the island’s economy; a submerged sculpture garden turned artificial reef just offshore; waterfalls reached on foot through the rainforest; and a final day with nothing on the schedule at all beyond a private stretch of sand.
Where St Lucia asks something of you physically, Grenada gives it back.
A single short flight links the two, timed so no day is lost to travel. Every property on the route has been chosen with LGBTQ+ travelers in mind, and this is a honeymoon built to suit any couple who wants to disappear for a week into the islands.
