? Our group trips are a great chance to travel with others. We also recommend adding in a few extra nights tailor-made to ensure you build the perfect itinerary.

Greece is the cradle of Western Civilization, so it’s no surprise that it’s a popular tourist destination. The perfect weather, golden beaches and cuisine also help. Not to mention the magical Islands surrounding the mainland.

On this trip you’ll get to explore the wonders of Athens, and then do some island hopping – including trips to Santorini, Mykonos and Milos. This trip is not based on a strict itinerary so you’ll have ample opportunity to explore, unwind and enjoy Greece with great company.

This has long been one of our most popular LGBTQ+ group trips. The fact that you can explore history combined with partying and relaxation is undoubtedly why it’s one of our bestsellers.

The relaxed nature of this trip means you’ll have plenty of room for spontaneity – no stressful early mornings or limiting daily itineraries. Relax, explore and have fun with new friends.

You can join the trip as a solo traveler, with a partner or group of friends. Solo travelers can opt for a private room for an additional supplement, or can be paired up with another solo traveler at no extra cost. Joining a group trip organized by destination experts is a brilliant way to discover the highlights of Greece in one trip.

More Information

Greece is one of the best destinations on earth for gay travelers.  At the center is Athens, a city that functions confidently as both cultural capital and livable gay destination. The LGBTQ+ scene is established and integrated, concentrated around Gazi and Kerameikos, where cocktail bars, clubs, and late-night restaurants sit comfortably alongside galleries and design hotels.

For travelers seeking a more overtly social experience, Mykonos remains one of the world’s most refined gay destinations. Gay beaches, international nightlife, and world-class luxury hotels. Events such as Xlsior Festival anchor the late-summer calendar, attracting an upwardly mobile crowd.

Beyond these anchors, Greece has many great destinations to explore – some lesser-known. Thessaloniki makes for a sophisticated alternative: a younger city with a low-key gay scene, strong food culture, and a sense of place that exists independently of tourism. In the Cyclades, islands such as Paros and Naxos attract gay travelers who value privacy, landscape, and excellent dining over nightlife.

Seasonality shapes everything. July and August are intense and crowded. May, June, September, and early October offer warmth, availability, and a more elegant pace. Athens remains reliable year-round, while island scenes rise and fall with summer.

Greece works for luxury gay travel today because it allows choice. You can be social or private, visible or discreet, immersed in nightlife or focused on culture – often within a single itinerary. That flexibility, paired with strong infrastructure and fascinating history, is what makes Greece an enduring luxury travel destination.

We can also visit the Archaeology Museum and see some of the wonders of ancient Greece. Then we have the energy and excitement of modern Athens to enjoy, centred in Gazi – where you can enjoy bustling nightlife.

Food & Drink

Savor the delights of Greek cuisine in its homeland. With a Mediterranean foundation infused with Middle Eastern influences, local menus offer a rich array of flavors, featuring olives, cheeses, eggplant, lamb, and yogurt. These group trips are designed to provide flexibility for your culinary adventures.

While all breakfasts are included in the trip, lunch and dinner are not part of the package, so you can explore the diverse restaurant options on offer for lunch and dinner at your own pleasure. This way, you have the freedom to dine at your chosen time and place, with the company of your choice, and within your preferred budget. Should you seek recommendations for the best dining experiences in each location, your trip leader will be a valuable resource.

LGBTQ+ Travel in Greece

The regions you’ll explore in Greece are generally open-minded and inclusive, with a warm reception towards LGBTQ+ travelers. However, influenced by the Orthodox Church, public displays of affection, whether for same-sex or opposite-sex couples, are typically viewed conservatively. In consideration of local customs, we recommend expressing your affection in more private settings.

The locals in Greece are known for their warmth, friendliness, and laidback nature. The importance of family is deeply ingrained in Greek culture, often leading to entire families working together in hotels and restaurants. While English is widely spoken, embracing a few Greek phrases can enhance your experience, starting with ‘Yia sou’ (hello), ‘Efharisto’ (thank you), and ‘Pou ine i paralia?’ (where’s the beach?).

Greece Information

What’s the climate like?
Greece tends to be very warm in summer and there’s little rain. That being said, it’s always best to bring some layers to be on the safe side.

What’s the currency?
In Greece, the official currency is the Euro. While credit cards are commonly used, it’s advisable to carry some cash in Euros as well. We recommend arriving with around 300 Euros, and you can easily access more cash from local ATMs when needed.

Do I tip in Greece?
Today, tipping for good service is customary in the tourism and hospitality industry worldwide. Tipping your trip leader is also a common practice, and while it’s entirely at your discretion, most budget around $10 USD per day for this.

Which plugs are used?
Greece uses a “type C” and “type F” plug, the same as most European countries and several other places in the world. The voltage is 230V with 50 Hz frequency.
