We can all take a little inspiration from these gay celebrity couples who have tied the knot in recent years.
Photos from the latest celebrity wedding are often the most eagerly awaited article in any magazine. We want to know what the brides wore, who they invited and the romantic destination they chose for their honeymoon. Since the legalisation of gay marriage, we are blessed with even more celebrity weddings to delve into.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi
Without a doubt one of the most famous celebrity weddings to this day. The two beautiful brides sealed the deal at their beautiful home in Los Angeles in August 2008, shortly after same sex marriage became legal. The couple were glammed up in hers and hers wedding dress and suit designed by Zac Posen.
Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
These two definitely nailed the romantic location, tying the knot in Perugia, Italy. The ceremony was a small private ceremony for only their close friends and family including Tom Ford, who designed their tuxedos and Elton John performed at the wedding reception.

Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marioni
Cynthia, who is most famously known for her role in ‘Sex and the City’ married her partner Christine in May 2012. They started dating in 2004 and announced their engagement in 2009. Cynthia has previously been married to a man and has two children from that relationship.
