At a glance
The Marquesa Hotel is a boutique hotel set across restored historic buildings in Old Town Key West, a block off Duval Street.
The Marquesa is an Old Town institution, built across four restored buildings that include an 1884 conch house, a block from Duval Street but quiet behind its gardens. It is an adults-led hotel of individually decorated rooms and suites, with antique furniture, ceiling fans, and a spare, colonial feel. The grounds hold three pools and lush courtyard gardens, with rooms looking onto them from gingerbread porches and balconies.
Café Marquesa, the hotel’s own restaurant, is regularly rated one of the best tables in Key West. The hotel earned a Michelin Two-Key rating in 2024.
It is a couples’ hotel above all, well suited to a romantic break or honeymoon, gay or straight, with no children under 14. Duval Street is a block away, and the whole of Old Town is on foot.

Further information
Dining

Café Marquesa is the heart of the place, an intimate restaurant that locals and guests rate among the best in Key West, holding an OpenTable Diners’ Choice award. The kitchen, under Chef Travis Lee, does gourmet coastal Southern cooking, with local seafood and produce, served à la carte or as a seven-course tasting menu. Mornings bring a strong breakfast, beignets included, and there is a Southern happy hour. Book dinner well ahead.
Wellness

The Marquesa is a small historic hotel rather than a spa property, so there is no spa or gym on site. What it has instead is three pools, one heated, set among tropical courtyard gardens, with loungers and quiet corners to read in. Treatments and classes can be arranged nearby, and the beaches and water sports of Key West are a short walk or ride away. Mostly, though, the wellness here is shade, water, and stillness a block from the noise.
Location

The Marquesa is on Fleming Street, one block off Duval, in the center of Old Town Key West, which means the whole historic island is on foot. Duval’s bars and restaurants are around the corner, with the Hemingway Home, Mallory Square’s sunset celebration, and the Southernmost Point all a short walk away. The beaches at Fort Zachary Taylor are nearby, and Key West International Airport is about ten minutes by car.
USA
Getting Around The US is best navigated by a combination of air and ground transport. Domestic flights are frequent and reasonably priced, making them the practical choice for covering long distances, particularly between the coasts.
Our Experts
The thing about the USA is that it's just so diverse. It doesn't matter what you're looking for, you can find it in the USA. I personally love San Francisco because it's hotels are arty and luxurious at the same time.
There's nowhere quite like New York for an ultra-lux city break. I always recommend visiting in December for the dream Christmas experience, complete with high-end shopping, Broadway shows and walks in Central Park.
Stellar service. Stellar products. Stellar people and it gets so much better when you pick up the phone and call.

Luxury New Mexico: Santa Fe, Los Alamos & Breaking Bad Locations
Tailor-made HolidayNew Mexico doesn't look like anywhere else in America, and it doesn't feel like it either. The light is different, the landscape is different, and the culture, shaped by centuries of Native American, Spanish colonial, and Anglo-American layering, sits apart from anything on the coasts. This itinerary runs three threads simultaneously.

Over the course of this journey, you’ll experience two of Hawaii’s most spectacular islands, where volcanic landscapes, tropical rainforests and golden beaches create one of the most diverse destinations in the Pacific. Aspen in Winter: A Luxury Gay Ski Escape
Tailor-made HolidayAspen is one of those places that rewards arriving with no particular agenda. It's one of the top luxury travel destinations in the USA. The skiing across four mountains is as good as anywhere in North America, but the town itself pulls equally hard: the restaurants are exceptional, the hotels are world-class, and the cultural life punches well above what you would expect from a mountain resort of this size.
