At a glance

Explore the very best of Morocco with our curated grand tour. From the imperial cities of Rabat and Fès to the rugged Atlas Mountains and the Atlantic charm of Essaouira, you will travel with private guides, stay in elegant riads and kasbahs, and discover Morocco in total luxury.

Begin in Casablanca, one of the country's most gorgeous cities. In Rabat, wander royal palaces and coastal kasbahs before heading inland to Fès - a bustling medina city where artisans, scholars and storytellers shape everyday life. Explore meandering alleyways, meet coppersmiths and weavers, and dine above ancient rooftops. Nearby, Meknès and the Roman ruins of Volubilis invite you to walk in the footsteps of sultans and emperors.

Your path then leads into the High Atlas Mountains where you'll enjoy some of the best stargazing views in the world. Stay in a secluded lodge, lunch with a Berber family, and hike through almond groves and peaceful valleys. This is Morocco at its most soulful: remote, honest, and breathtakingly beautiful.

End in Marrakesh and Essaouira - cities of colour, chaos, calm and creativity. Here, you will find the richest aspects of Moroccan culture - a fitting end to an incredible journey through this iconic destination

NB: Public displays of affection are frowned upon in Moroccan culture, regardless of sexual orientation. We only work with trusted partners on the ground, and we have sent dozens of clients to Morocco who have returned providing strongly positive feedback, feeling both safe and comfortable for the duration of their visit.

This is a sample plan, not a fixed departure. Days can be added, removed or reordered, and almost every client changes something. Prices are an entry-level guide; your quote will be exact.

Days 1-2: Casablanca & Rabat - A Coastal Welcome

Your Moroccan journey begins in Casablanca with a warm welcome and private transfer to a luxurious ocean-facing hotel. See the beauty of the Hassan II Mosque in person – one of the few open to non-Muslims – before continuing to Rabat, Morocco’s elegant capital. Here, enjoy a private guided tour through the whitewashed Kasbah des Oudaias, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the imposing Royal Palace. Dine at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Atlantic, with a menu inspired by French-Moroccan fusion. These first two days offer a soft landing into Moroccan culture, highlighting the country’s architectural beauty and its rich, royal history.

Days 3-4: Fès - Morocco’s Cultural Heart

Travel to Fès, Morocco’s spiritual and artistic heartbeat, where you’ll settle into a historic riad nestled within the labyrinthine medina. Over two days, a private guide will take you deep into Fès el-Bali’s alleys, home to the world’s oldest university, bustling tanneries, and hidden artisan quarters. Explore the Al-Attarine Madrasa, the ancient Jewish quarter, and the Royal Palace’s majestic gates. Enjoy tea on a rooftop terrace as the call to prayer echoes through the city. These days are all about immersion – unfiltered, raw and experience-centred. Optional: Add a traditional hammam or a guided culinary tour.

Day 5: Meknès & Volubilis - Roman Legacy and Vineyard Luxury

Set off on a scenic day trip to Meknès and Volubilis, revealing Morocco’s Roman and imperial heritage. Begin with a guided tour of the sprawling ruins of Volubilis, where mosaics and ancient columns paint a vivid picture of the Roman Empire’s reach. Continue to Meknès to visit the grand Bab Mansour gate and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. A luxurious lunch and wine tasting awaits you at Château Roslane – one of Morocco’s premier vineyards. This day centres on the country’s historical and culinary scene before returning to Fès for a relaxed evening.

Days 6-7: Atlas Mountains & Skoura - Mountain Retreat and Berber Life

Depart Fès for the iconic High Atlas Mountains, crossing the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Arrive in either the serene Ourika Valley or the palm-dotted Skoura Oasis and check into an exclusive kasbah or eco-lodge. Spend your time on guided walks through olive groves, remote Berber villages, and almond orchards. A private lunch hosted by a local family introduces you to Amazigh hospitality. In the evenings, dine under some magical star-filled skies, warmed by firelight.

Days 8-9: Marrakech - Sights, Souks, and Style

Arrive in vibrant Marrakech and check into a luxury riad with private courtyards and candlelit pools. Your private guide will lead you through iconic landmarks including Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, and Saadian Tombs. Lose yourself in the souks, with expert help sourcing artisanal leather, spices, and silks. Attend a hands-on cooking class where you’ll prepare traditional tagines and pastilla. In the evenings, enjoy rooftop dining overlooking the bustling Djemaa el-Fna square, watching as fire-eaters and storytellers perform on the streets below.

Days 10-11: Essaouira - Seaside Serenity

Head west for a coastal interlude in Essaouira. This breezy bohemian town, that was once a hippie haven, is now home to an artistic and culinary renaissance. Walk the historic ramparts, browse galleries and wood-carving studios, and enjoy fresh seafood at the harbour. Stay in a tranquil boutique riad with sea views, ideal for slow mornings and reflective evenings. This final chapter offers time to unwind and savour your Moroccan journey at your own pace. Return to Marrakech on Day 11 for a final night of luxury or depart directly from Essaouira airport.

When I think of Morocco, I think of sipping mint tea while looking out at sun-kissed dunes in the Sahara. There's nowhere quite like it.
