Alberto Hassler arrived in Rome in 1893 and built what would become one of the city’s most enduring addresses. The hotel has remained independently owned ever since, passing through six generations of the Wirth family to Roberto and Veruschka Wirth today.
The hotel Hassler Roma sits at Piazza della Trinità dei Monti, at the top of the Spanish Steps, with Via Condotti and the city’s finest shopping directly below and the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Villa Borghese all within walking distance.
What the Wirth family has built around that position is considered at every level is a Michelin-starred restaurant with some of the most complete views over Rome of any dining room in the city, an all-day restaurant and garden, a cocktail lounge and a wine bar above the Steps, and a new 800-square-metre spa arriving in 2026.

Accommodation
Rooms
Rooms are offered in two categories. The Deluxe, a well-proportioned city-view room, and the Grand Deluxe, which offers more space and wider panoramic views across Rome.
Both carry the same standard of individual design, antique detailing and personal service that runs through the entire property which reflects the six generations of hospitality.
Suites
The suite collection ranges from the Junior Suite upwards through Classic, Executive and Grand Deluxe configurations to two Presidential Suites and two Penthouses at the top of the collection.
The Presidential Suite Trinità dei Monti looks directly over the church and the Spanish Steps below. The Hassler Penthouse sits at the summit of the building with two panoramic terraces in travertine marble, a grand piano, a fully stocked bar, a kitchen with custom-designed bone china tableware and views across the Roman skyline.

The Seventh Floor Terrace
Sits at the highest point of the hotel with views across the Eternal City, open daily for drinks, coffee and light bites.
Il Palazzetto Wine Bar
Sits in a palazzo directly above the Spanish Steps, serving wine and light drinks with views over the city.
Spa & Wellness
The Amorvero Spa offers a fully equipped gym, sauna and a menu of personalised massages and treatments. An 800-square-metre spa beneath the Spanish Steps, with state-of-the-art facilities and a full treatment programme.
