Vineyards cover much of the land, their rows turning with the slopes, softly shaded at dawn and warmer, more textured in the evening; the balloon moves slowly enough to watch colour and shadow change. Woods, meadows and small lakes make a patchwork that speaks of centuries of farming, and deer often edge along the fields while flocks of birds wheel below.
