Bisma Eight is a 38-room boutique hotel and villa collection on Bisma Road, in the cultural centre of Ubud, Bali.
The hotel holds One Michelin Key, awarded in 2025, and its rooms are artisan-made in warm wood and textiles, many with a deep Japanese soaking tub and jungle views. A separate cluster of one and two-bedroom villas lies about 500 meters away, each with a private pool and a kitchenette.
Dining centers on Copper, the rooftop kitchen and bar serving modern Indonesian cooking and breakfast over the treetops, with the 10-seat Mori teppanyaki counter and the villas’ Mediterranean restaurant, Embers, alongside it. Mandala Spa, the gym, and free daily yoga handle wellness.
An infinity pool runs along the back of the property, above the ravine, and sustainability threads through the operation, from the organic farm to the sourcing. The Sacred Monkey Forest, the Ubud Royal Palace, and the town’s galleries and shops are all a short walk away.

Dining
Dining centers on Copper, the rooftop kitchen and bar, where executive chef Yuni Artha cooks modern Indonesian dishes and breakfast comes with a view over the Ubud treetops. Mori adds an intimate 10-seat teppanyaki counter with a chef-led tasting menu, while Embers, down at the villas, runs Mediterranean cooking off the resort’s own organic farm. The pool bar handles afternoon tea and signature cocktails.
Wellness
Mandala Spa, over at the villas, works from Balinese and Ayurvedic traditions, with massages using the house essential-oil blends, facials, and a scrub bar where you build your own treatment from a rice base. Sessions can also be set up in your room. The wider wellness offer adds free daily rooftop yoga, weekly sound healing, the jungle infinity pool, and a gym for keeping a routine.
Location
Bisma Eight runs along Bisma Road, a quiet, walkable street in the middle of Ubud that drops away into jungle and a river ravine at the back. The Sacred Monkey Forest is about a kilometer south, and the Ubud Royal Palace, art market, and museums are a 10-minute walk north, with rice-terrace trails close by. Bali’s airport is roughly 90 minutes away by car.
