About the Hotel
Spread over 20 acres of lush, sub-tropical garden, with more than 200 different plant species, this resort provides a beautiful setting in Mauritius. Water sports include waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, pedalos and glass bottom boat rides on Turtle Bay. The Oberoi Mauritius also has has a unique Touching Senses programme of daily changing complimentary activities, designed to refresh and rejuvenate the mind, body and soul. These include breathing techniques, sculpture classes, jogging, nature walks and much more.
Food and Drink
The Restaurant
A stylish, al fresco dining space overlooking the Indian Ocean, The Restaurant encompasses a traditional, thatched roof pavilion and dining under the stars. The Restaurant is a formal dining venue, serving Creole, International and Asian cuisine. It is open for breakfast and dinner.
On the Rocks
On the Rocks offers a truly unique dining experience. Located on top of dark volcanic rocks that extend into the ocean, guests can almost dip their toes in the waters as they savour fresh seafood from the live grill, salads, pasta and wood-fired pizza. On the Rocks is open for lunch and dinner.
The Bar
The Bar is housed in a traditional, open-sided thatched roof structure, caressed by balmy sea breezes and lit by a magnificent cast iron chandelier. The space is adorned with an antique swing and an ebony piano, played by jazz and classical musicians every evening.
The Gunpowder Room
The Gunpowder Room dates back to French colonial times. With rustic, brick walls, rough stone floors, antique wine barrels and glittering chandeliers, guests who enter the Gunpowder Room will be transported back to a bygone era. Guests can savour traditional Mauritian or gourmet Japanese cuisine, five days a week. The Gunpowder Room is for the exclusive use of our adult guests.
The Herb Trail
Fire N Smoke is a unique, four course communal dinner experience available only on Saturday and Sunday nights at The Herb Trail at The Oberoi, Mauritius.
