Casa Kimberly is a nine-suite boutique hotel in Puerto Vallarta, set in the joined former homes of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, with the Bridge of Love still in place.
The hotel occupies what was once Casa Kimberly proper, the Spanish Colonial home Richard Burton bought for Elizabeth Taylor as a birthday present in 1964 during the filming of Night of the Iguana. Burton later purchased the house opposite for himself, and the two were eventually connected by the Puente del Amor, the Bridge of Love that still arcs across Calle Zaragoza today.
Both homes have been reworked into a single nine-suite hotel. The Elizabeth Taylor Suite, the actress’s former personal quarters, sits at the top of the range, with a wrap-around terrace, private pool, and jacuzzi over Banderas Bay. The Richard Burton, Sandpiper, Flora, Cleopatra, and Velvet suites round out the lineup, each in Colonial style with antique furnishings.
Iguana Restaurant & Tequila Bar handles the dining side, and CK Spa covers wellness. The setting is the historic centre of Puerto Vallarta, with the Malecón a short walk away.

Accommodation
Elizabeth Taylor Suite
This is your chance to live like Hollywood royalty in Elizabeth Taylor’s bedroom. Accessed by a private elevator, its wrap-around terrace has a private jacuzzi and stunning views of Banderas Bay. A Swarovski crystal chandelier presides over the Mexican Colonial bed and illuminates a dome decorated with hand-painted winged cherubim.
The bathroom’s centrepiece is the original pink-marble heart-shaped tub Elizabeth Taylor commissioned and used herself.
Cleopatra
Named, of course, after the film Taylor had just made before she took up residence in Puerto Vallarta, this is a suite fit for Royalty. Cleopatra herself would have approved of it.
The colonial king-sized bed is complemented by a crystal chandelier and an antique armoire. The bathtub is positioned to give you views of the rooftops of the town and Bandera Bay. Through the French windows, you’ll find a private patio with a sunken jacuzzi.
Velvet
The Velvet suite is named after Taylor’s debut film, National Velvet, filmed in 1944. Located on an upper floor, the suite boasts sweeping views of the town. The hand-carved King Size bed is complemented by elegant antiques, an Oriental rug and a crystal chandelier.
Through the sliding doors, you’ll find a private terrace with a raised jacuzzi.
The V.I.P.S
Located on the top floor of the residence, this suite is named after one of Taylor and Burton’s movies. Its wrap-around terrace offers panoramic views of Purto Vallarta. You’ll hear the trickle of water from the stone and tile fountain as you recline outside.
The Colonial king-size bed is accompanied by a marble-topped side table and striking antiques. Hand-painted ceramic tiles cover the bathroom wall.
Other Suites
Casa Kimberly has five more exquisite suites. The Katharina, Virginia, Sandpiper, Flora and the Richard Burton (located in his former living room).
All of the hotel’s suites offer the height of luxury and each one is huge. The properties storied former owner’s presence is still felt in every room. You’ll find pictures of Elizabeth Taylor on the walls, bathe in her bath and wake up to the same views she did. The pool is the exact same pool they used. You can imagine the legendary parties they would have hosted.

Dining
The Iguana Restaurant & Tequila Bar covers the dining side, with open-air terrace seating, retractable walls, and crystal chandeliers over views of Banderas Bay and the city. The kitchen serves contemporary Mexican, blending traditional dishes with modern technique using fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. Live mariachi runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings from November through April. The boutique Tequila Bar stocks dozens of rare tequilas and mezcals, all from nearby Jalisco.
Wellness
CK Spa is a couples-led space across two treatment suites, each with a private jacuzzi and room for two guests per session. The treatment menu covers skin care, nail care, body therapies, specialty spa baths with curative infusions, and aromatherapy, all customized to each guest in advance with the concierge. In-suite appointments are available on request, with the spa reserved exclusively for hotel guests.
Location
Casa Kimberly is at Calle Zaragoza 445 in the historic centre of Puerto Vallarta, on the hillside above the Malecón. The setting puts the Bay of Banderas, the Río Cuale island, the Templo de Guadalupe, and the city’s restaurants, galleries, and beach clubs all within walking distance. The Zona Romántica, Puerto Vallarta’s main LGBTQ+ neighbourhood, is a short walk south of the hotel, and the airport is around 20 minutes by car.
