Southern Portugal’s coastline is, by any measure, among the best in Europe. Its beaches, with golden limestone cliffs folding into coves of water that shift between jade and deep Atlantic blue, have been drawing travellers for decades, and the hotel infrastructure has kept pace: the luxury end of this market is world-class, anchored by resorts that would hold their own anywhere in the Mediterranean and then some.
The Algarve gets more sunshine than almost anywhere else in Europe; its water stays warm well into autumn, and its cooking—built on Atlantic seafood, piri piri, and cataplana—is some of the most distinctive in Portugal. This week takes full advantage: private beaches, world-class spa facilities, and Michelin-starred restaurants within the resorts themselves.
The trip moves between two of Portugal’s most acclaimed five-star resorts: Vila Vita Parc, perched on 54 acres of subtropical gardens above the Atlantic near Porches, and the Epic Sana Algarve, set within eight hectares of pine forest with direct beach access near Albufeira.
You’ll take in Praia da Marinha, travelling by private yacht along the coast, enjoying Michelin-starred dining, and experiencing the kind of long, slow afternoons that exist specifically to be spent doing very little in spectacular surroundings.

Day 1: Fly to Faro & Arrive at Vila Vita Parc
A private transfer from Faro Airport brings you to Vila Vita Parc in Porches, one of the most decorated resorts in Portugal, which earns its status across every part of your experience.
The resort spreads across 54 acres of subtropical gardens, with the Atlantic visible below from almost everywhere on the property.
Boasting an 11-restaurant dining operation, Vila Vita Parc spans casual beachside lunches to the two-Michelin-starred Ocean—one of the finest tables in Portugal, where chef Hans Neuner has spent years building a menu around what the Atlantic actually produces. The wine cellar runs to more than 11,000 bottles, eight meters underground.
Day 2: Roam the Spa at Vila Vita Parc
Day two belongs to the Vila Vita Spa by Sisley Paris, one of the best wellness spaces on the Algarve coast.
Its 14 treatment rooms draw on the sea caves of the surrounding coastline in their design, all natural stone and deep Atlantic blues, while treatments use plant extracts and essential oils selected for the skin, delivered unhurriedly enough that the morning passes before you notice.
The afternoon shifts to Praia da Marinha, a short private transfer along the coast to a cove of turquoise water framed by limestone stacks and sea arches that appear on almost every list of Europe’s most beautiful beaches.
Day 5: Epic Sana Algarve, Albufeira
A private transfer east along the coast brings you to the Epic Sana Algarve, a different kind of five-star entirely.
Set within eight hectares of pine forest above Falésia Beach, one of the longest and least crowded stretches of sand on the coast, the resort combines generous room sizes, five outdoor pools, and an indoor pool with a spa and wellness programme that is among the best in the Algarve. The beach is a short walk through the trees.
Day five opens at the spa: a treatment from the resort’s holistic wellness menu, then the pool, then the beach. The Epic Sana’s restaurants work with fresh Atlantic produce, prepared with a lightness that suits the setting.
Day 6: Lean into Relaxation
Falésia Beach at its best is an early morning experience; long and quiet, the ochre cliffs catching the light as the day begins.
The afternoon calls for one final treatment at the spa before a drink on the terrace as the sun goes down.
You’ll leave the Algarve relaxed, restored, and quietly negotiating with yourself about when to come back.
Day 7: Return Home
A private transfer returns you to Faro Airport for your flight home. The week ends here.
