Spend time in Bangkok getting under the skin of Thailand’s capital before flying to Chiang Mai where you’ll ride Segways around the city.
Finish your trip with a stay at the renowned Anantara Chiang Rai Elephant Camp where you’ll get to see these majestic animals, relax with spa treatments and find fine dining in one of the resorts many restaurants.
In detail
Day 1 and 2: Bangkok
Fly into Bangkok where your driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.
Bangkok is a culturally rich and vibrant city, with numerous creative communities combining ancient traditions with modern artistic styles.
This half-day cultural tour starts in the early afternoon with a private long-tail boat ride along Bangkok’s ancient canals, which are lined by shophouses, temples and residences designed in a range of architectural styles. This diversity demonstrates the rich heritage of these former trading routes.
The boat emerges at Baan Silapin, a 100-year-old house that has been renovated and transformed into an art gallery. Here, guests can take part in an art workshop or explore the local community, before moving on to the Joe Louis School of Puppetry – a unique show that features colourful and intricately-designed Thai puppets.
The day ends at the beautiful riverside landmark of Wat Arun, the ‘Temple of Dawn’, which features a 79-metre-high pagoda.

Day 3: Bangkok
Free day at leisure.
In the early evening, transfer to the Golden Mount to have a top view of the old city and cycle down to Bangkok’s main attractions. Cycling pass the Giant Swing, Wat Suthat and flower market area.
Before sunset, arrive at a peaceful park by the Chao Phraya River to watch as the sun goes down over the Temple of Dawn, with the golden spires of the Grand Palace illuminated behind. Continue cycling to the biggest amulet market at its closing time, and see more buildings that are in both Thai and European styles, including the iconic Wat Benchamabophit which is the temple of the “Five-Baht” coins. Impress with the shimmering of Wat Ratchanada and Loha Prasat before drop-off for dinner and relax at the Sidewalk Cafe with illuminated lights of Democracy Monument and Ratchadamnoen Avenue.
Day 4 to 6: Chiang Mai
Fly to Chiang Mai.
You will be picked up by your guide and private car and transported to the old city for the beginning of your exciting Segway experience. Following a 15-minute introduction on how to use your Segway, take an unforgettable ‘glided’ tour on a personal transporter – the world’s first electric, self-balancing personal transport vehicle. Tour stops and locations may vary and are selected by your ‘glide’ but include Chiang Mai landmarks such as Wat Phra Singh, Wat Pan Tao, Wat Chedi Luang, Thapae Gate, Wat Chiang Man, Three Kings Gate.
Segways are a fantastic way to take a voyage through the culturally rich and enchanting city of Chiang Mai. Return to your hotel by private car.
We’ll also arrange a visit to Veranda Resort & Spa located outside the city of Chiang Mai and away from hustle and bustle for afternoon tea.
Day 7 to 9: Chiang Rai
Today you’ll head to the beautiful Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp and Resort.
The resort will be your home for the next three nights.
Your stay at this beautiful resort is inclusive of the following:
- Breakfast at Sala Mae Nam
- A la Carte Dinner each night at restaurant of your choice
- A la Carte Lunch following every day at Sala Mae Nam Restaurant
- Beverages (non-alcoholic, house wines, house  beer and house spirits and select cocktails)
