Devasom Khao Lak Beach Resort & Villas is a five-star beachfront resort in Khao Lak, with Silk Road design and two Michelin-listed restaurants.
Devasom is set between a natural lagoon and a west-facing sunset beach at Khuk Khak, on the Khao Lak coast north of Phuket. The design draws on the maritime Silk Road, with Moorish arches and salvaged wooden doors across 69 rooms, suites, and villas facing the water.
Accommodation runs from the Seaside Grand Deluxe up through plunge-pool Suites and Beachfront Pool Villas to the two-bedroom Sky Villa, a rooftop penthouse with a 17-meter infinity pool. Two Michelin Guide restaurants handle the food: Takola for southern Thai, the Devasom Beach Grill for Mediterranean seafood.
It works for couples, gay or straight, on a honeymoon or beach break, with a kids’ club and family villas in the mix too. Khao Lak town is ten minutes away, the Similan Islands an easy day trip, and Phuket Airport is about an hour south.

Seaside Grand Deluxe (54 sqm)
Devasom’s beachfront charms begin here. The Seaside Grand Deluxe rooms are remarkably spacious. Each features an extra-large bed or two twin beds and offers a partial view of the Andaman sea from the large private balcony.
Seaside Pool Paradise Suite (105 sqm)
The 12 Seaside ‘Pool Paradise’ Suites are perfectly designed for an intimate beach escape. The separate living room and stylish bedroom provide plenty of extra space, while the large private deck features a plunge pool and two personal sun loungers from which you can look out across the natural lagoon and the sea.
Beachfront Pool Villa (150-160 sqm)
Offering an intimate beach resort experience, each of our pool villas boasts a magnificent sea view as well as barefoot access straight onto the soft sands of the beach. Each villa features a large horizon-edge pool complete with spa jets, a separate living room and sun loungers.
Devasom Sky Villa (430 sqm)
‘Devasom Sky Villas’ are our extraordinary penthouses. Perched at the top of the hotel, they have the best, panoramic ocean views in the whole resort. Each features two bedrooms, a separate living room, dining pavilion, private lap pool (17m) with spa jets and a large private courtyard complete with sun loungers – all overlooking the beautiful waters of the Andaman Sea.

Dining
Both of Devasom’s restaurants have featured in the Michelin Guide. Takola is the Thai room, focused on southern Thai cooking with local ingredients, a wine list, and cocktails, and has held a Bib Gourmand in recent years. The Devasom Beach Grill works a Mediterranean and seafood menu off an open grill and a wood-fired pizza oven. Private dining can be set up on the beach or up in the resort’s observation tower.
Wellness
Devasom Spa and Wellness runs a menu of massages and treatments, including hot stone work, in a calm spa setting. The rest of the wellness side is low-key and resort-style: a horizon infinity pool over the beach, a 24-hour gym, yoga classes, and the long sunset beach itself for walks and swims. The pool suites and villas add their own plunge or private pools for downtime.
Location
Devasom is on Khuk Khak Beach, a quiet, west-facing stretch of the Khao Lak coast in Phang Nga, with a natural lagoon on one side and the Andaman Sea on the other. The beach faces the sunset and stays low-key, away from the busier parts of the coast. Khao Lak town is about ten minutes away, the Similan Islands are a popular day trip, and Phuket Airport is roughly an hour south.
